Conan the Barbarian is criminally underrated. The orchestral score is powerful and moving, the cinematography and set design are excellent, and the movie has layers of philosophical subtext that are often completely overlooked. I think it belongs on any list of the best Fantasy movies, and I would certainly place it in Arnold's top 5.
@@VHDT10 Damn straight. I like Commando, but it's a made-by-committee *Schwarzenegger* movie. Conan, on the other hand, is a movie with a distinct vision that happens to utilize Schwarzenegger instead.
Hey man, I don’t know if you’re still following comments on this video, but I don’t understand what you or anyone else is talking about when you say that Arnold has been a part of anything that hasn’t been mind blowing, let alone a bad movie. Even when I felt tentative at a first viewing, they’ve all pleasantly surprised me. There’s not one movie of his that I hasn’t taken my breath away in all of the ways it should.
Great list! I agree with basically everything. Except I would have "Jingle all the way" and "Last action hero" higher. For me they're really fun movies with quite a bit of nostalgia
If I think of all-time classics a God tier Arnold movies, for me it's only Terminator, Terminator 2, and Total Recall. Then Predator, Commando, and True Lies in the next tier down, along with The Running Man, Kindergarten Cop, etc.
@@80snerdgasm15 yeah, you gotta put him on there. Jackie, Chow Yun-Fat, Arnold, Sammo, Mel Gibson, Michelle Yeoh, Stallone, Jet Li, Donnie... if I'm doing 10, maybe Gordon Liu or Moon Lee or even JCVD.
Red Sonja’s a very crappy movie anyway, even sh$ttier than Conan the Destroyer Jingle all the Way is very funny though. Me and my older brother always laugh to death watching it at Christmas time. Around the world in 80 days is also crap, haven’t even seen it. I’ve seen the 6th day. It’s an okay movie at worst. I liked it just like some of his 80s flicks Sabotage is easily the worst Arnie movie I’ve seen, and it’s crap. Not as Bad as Batman and Robin(which I will never watch) atleast. Running Man was fun, had no problems with it. Twins is funny I’ve heard that Stay Hungry is bad. Last Stand was fun and way better that sabotage by a long shot. Collateral damage as decent, didn’t like the origin story a bit. But the movie was fun and decent. End of Days is bad, and really graphic for a lot of fans, including me. Not watching it. Have only seen a few clips of it, including the ending and Arnie’s death. Everything else I haven’t mentioned, I totally agree
bruh ..... conan is a MASTAH PIECE

You are absolutely right. Even more so, it might be one of the best movies ever made.
Came here to say this
Hell yeah. World's greatest action star.
Absolutely.
cool ranking - now I will rewatch some of these - beginning yet with Commando
Another good list, Mike. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering where you'd put Predator.
Was there ever any doubt?
Same here. And Commando, too.
you're being sarcastic
Agree on top tier except Running Man should be in it. I just wish Dynamo was something different lol
First Conan is amazing, go watch it again, epic stuff...
I was hoping it would be at the top 2. It's truly an amazing movie.
Edit: it's so much better than commando. It is definitely a great film

Not putting Jingle All The Way in S Tier is criminal.
Kindergarten Cop over Conan wtf bro? 😂😂😂
why not watch the films you've missed before the review????
might get up to 500 views that way...
The running man is also written by Stephen King btw
Whoo, back with another list. How do you think my list stacks up to your thoughts on Arnold films?
I have Maggie on blu-ray, should we watch?
next rank them by the quality of the score
dag such pure hatred for the Conan movies. So sad.
@@stickyfloors7718 The first was solid, but overall they not his best work.
@@hkcinemasociety I'm definitely down though I worry it'll suck.
Dude watch the films before you so post this lol
Agree except running man definitely above true lies....
Amazing list. You need to watch 6th Day again!
amazing? he hasn't watched a lot of them lol
Agree on most. Would swap Kindergarten cop and True lies though

oh boy
There was nothing good about terminator 3. Worst terminator film. Worst casting of any of the terminators.
I more or less agree with every position. Good video! Top three for me would be T2, Predator than True Lies.

Would Arnold even make your list of best action stars ever? Or is it all Hong Kong stars?
