Pretty similar except for the last two rankings. If you put Genisys (I-I mean Genyshit!) over T2...what the fuck are you thinking?!! I’m glad Cameron’s back for Dark Fate but the franchise should be put to rest for good. Get more original Hollywood.

1. Terminator 2: Judgement day- I’ve watched this movie for the first time in 1992 and since then I’ve probably watched it every year... of course it’s one of the best if not the best action movies of all time and it’s in my top 10 favorite movies of all time
2. The Terminator- I’ve seen this movie after Terminator 2 when i was 7 or 8 years old and I remember being scared of Arnold....It’s a great movie and the soundtracks of this one and the second one are very good...I have a lot of nostalgia with 80s and early 90s soundtracks
3. Terminator: Dark Fate - this movie was a big surprise to me ....I had really low expectations, but i ended up enjoying it
4. Terminator 3: Rise of the machines: not that great, but for some reasons I enjoy watching it from time to time...the action is good, but some of the acting not that great
5. Terminator Salvation- I’ve only watched this movie one time and I remember being just ok...I didn’t think it was bad or anything, but not that memorable either...it’s a forgettable Terminator movie
6. Terminator Genesis : frustrating movie to me...the plot was all over the place, some of the actors weren’t the best choice to play certain characters
Yeah I agree with you on Terminator Genysis especially the casting. Emilia Clarke is the WORST choice to play Sarah Connor and her american accent is cringe.
I'd put Genisys higher by one or two places(it's a fun film, if not a good one), but other than that your list is basically the same as my list.

The only movie 3 is better than is Salvation. The tone and acting in 3 was just awful. Plus the final act had awful pacing. TX crashes through dam and is killed off in minutes. Lamest terminator death ever. It had no sense of a Final act.

T3 has some sort of problems tbh, not a bad movie, but not really good either.
T1 was the best hands down. Salvation is underrated and have had a sequel
Facts. We need the R rated directors cut.
Only reason I would rank the first Terminator over part 2 is because T2 kinda follows the same beats. It does it VERY well, but it's the meet and try and kill, the save/misdirection, the police station/hospital, the truck chase, and death by industrial warehouse.
My List:
1. Judgement Day- Whenever I want to watch Terminator, I go for this one.
2. The Terminator- it had romance. It had comedy. It had action. Win-win-win but what sold it was the revelation that Kyle Reese was in fact the Father of John Connor.
3. Rise of the Machines- I feel Jonathan Mostow captured the spirit of the franchise. There was no system core and instead of the T-1000, you have a TX who can remote control machines and comes equip with her own weapons. Yeah, the story has changed but how can you not love that?
4. Salvation- This was the first film that I think took the biggest risk with no more time travel and you know what? It paid off. It was a solid story that I could believe. Bale was a great cast for John Connor.
5. Dark Fate- This movie started out really good and just fell flat in the end. The revelation that Romas was the new John Connor had me blow a raspberry. Connor is the savior of humanity. I was hoping that time travel would be the ultimate killer of the terminators. That would have made a better revelation.
6. Genisys-where to begin? This was made for fanfare. The story made absplutely no sense. I would never watch it again. I mean at least, ROTM and Salvation made sense. For such great actors, it just sucked balls. I will never mention it again.
I love more genesis then dark fate cuz good ending ik its non cannon but its skynet and i limed t-3000 concept and arnold but kyle reese's actor is not fited well i see that sarah connor too but T-1000 second actor was pretty good he tried hes best.But dark fate is like it feels like remake to the t2 because 80% same scenes again reworked they killed john connor in 25 seconds then i really dont know why kyle reese did all protections in T1 and it was like nothing.

To be fair considering the whole Terminator franchise revolves around a machine being sent back to the past to change the future, it would be weird for them to suddenly follow The Avengers time travel rules.
They don’t follow arbitrary rules created by a movie that came out literally this year lmao.

There should be a sequel to Terminator Salvation. It deserves a 8 out of 10, if not 7 is still good...It experimented, it went forward, we saw a future war, skynet origins backstory, with Marcus being the best new character in the film saga since Kyle Reese in Terminator 1. Sam Worthington was great, performance was a 9, Bale as John Connor was top choice. 10!. Moon Bloodgood and Barnes (common) , were good side characters on Bales team. Great Connor building in ranks story, to become Resistance Leader! Story was a 9.5 in my book. Anton Yelchin (rip) best Kyle Reese since Michael Bien in T1. His performance was a 10!

Big Fence you’re welcome… the film was a massive spit in the face for us hardcore *Terminator* fans. It was disgraceful. The director was focused on making a senseless blockbuster rather than a *Terminator* movie.

In defense of Genisys, while I agree that John Connor being a terminator isn't a good idea in of itself, the T-3000 is INSANELY cool.

1. Judgement Day - You already knew it. One of the most influential and brilliant films of all time. I always have a blast with this movie, every time I rewatch it
Terminator salvation has a special place in my heart because it was the first terminator I watched because it was PG-13 and I couldn’t watch R movies yet
1- T2: I’m not going to waste anyone’s time by justifying this masterpiece of a movie’s place on this list. The main theme alone should have you know you’re in for an experience.
2- Terminator: solid, beautiful film full of 80s cheese in all the right places, visual effects that would leave you surprised at the films budget, and fantastic acting for the most part. Looking at the films now, you would never know it started out with thriller and horror elements, and with them this film is still gloriously entertaining.
3- Salvation: a satisfying example of what the future past judgement day would look like. A mixed bag with honestly more bad than good but since the films since have done literally nothing for the franchise, it’s safe to say this film is only remembered for its strengths to the narrative anyway. There is no doubting the sound and visual design in this film is impeccable. The t-800 exoskeleton never looked or sounded scarier (or wider, for some reason.) And that 7/11 panic scene where the harvester literally reaps the humans, oh man I still get goosebumps. The cinematography in this film it brilliant as well. Now I’m actually thinking maybe this film would be a masterpiece had its structure been easier to swallow, all the pieces are there! I definitely am thinking of it more highly than when I first started writing about it, which is a good summarization of how people feel about it as a whole.
4- T3: honestly, I don’t hate this movie. But it doesn’t hold up much. The acting was unbalanced between fantastic and amateur, the CGI was about as 2002-2003 as it gets, and The action sequences were nothing to scoff at of course- but felt hollow in comparison to the last two films. I do feel the T-X was a solid villain, and I thought the T-850 was pretty funny for some reason, but the film was just hitting too many different notes and missing. The humor I mentioned wasn’t always good for the situation either. The movie ironically just feels stale because of the forced “changes” the and ending is the only real part of this movie’s ambition that landed nicely, which sucks because even the ending is as good as stale now thanks to T5 and T6
5- Dark fate: an objectively better film than T3 for the most part, and the choreography was very well done, but I’ll use that against it in an analogy. If films 1-4 were a fight, this film was a dance. It, along with genisys, don’t feel like terminator films because of the way they handled the content and faithfulness or course, I don’t feel the direction they took was completely incompetent or foolish, but tonally I find it inferior to the narrative T3 and salvation were trying to paint. There was some abysmal character work in this film too that simply cannot be ignored, especially with that Mexican girl. Not a fan of how this film severely downgraded the intimidation and urgency of a terminator threat either. The REV-9 seems like a fancy-shmancy cool, but weaker model. Wow, another analogy for this film... Not a fan of the bought ratings or the politically correct insertions either, but these are both things that have took over Hollywood over time, not something dark fate is accountable for per se.
6- Genisys (I still struggle to spell its typo’d name): I honestly don’t think this film is as terrible as others say it is, but I do feel it’s as worthless. Huge miscasts, lazy re-runs of previous villains and scenarios, a re-hash soundtrack and the annihilation of the superior ideas the last two films stood upon, even if those films weren’t perfect.

1) Terminator: Judgement Day - 10/10
- Obiviously.....Arguably the best Sci-Fi Action and sequel ever made like Sean mentioned. As crazy as it sounds, some of the special effects actually look more believable and more grounded than the ones in recent Terminator movies.
2) The Terminator - 9.9/10
- T1 perfectly captured the dread of facing a Terminator that hasn't been done in all the sequels including Judgement Day. As a viewer, you could really feel the tension and understands what's at stake. It's hard to beat the OG but JD did top it for me which is saying a lot.
3) Terminator Salvation - 9.4/10
- Extremely underrated. The future war setting was refreshing to watch. I really enjoy the special effects as well. You can tell a lot of sets were done with practical effects. The T-800 in Salvation also looks the most realistic out of all the terminator movies. Christian Bale as John Connor was amazing because he has the screen presence to command every scene he's in.
4) Terminator: Rise of the Machines - 8.5/10
- I enjoyed T3 tbh. Yes, the time-travel template has been recycled so many times......but the sub-plot is still different. I like the portray of TX as well. Despite being a "female" Terminator, she has an intimidating presence. For the first time in the franchise, I actually feel like the T-800 or T-850 in this movie could lose to the TX and the stakes were all believable. T3 gets a lot of undeserved hate, but I honestly think it's a quite fun and entertaining movie. For example, the scene before T-850 and TX try to find John Connor at the animal hospital was very suspenseful. It kind of reminds me of the "slasher/horror" aspect from T1.
5) Terminator: Dark Fate - 7/10
- Dark Fate is decent in my eyes. It's a mixed bag in my opinion. The actions were very well done even though a lot of it is in CGI. The set pieces were great, some of the best in the franchise. I like the new Rev-9 model a lot too. Where Dark Fate falls short though is the script and execution. I get that they want to change up the story a bit and provide a new perspective into the mythology. However, I think a few things cannot be changed. The biggest one for me is Spoiler.................................Have ANY terminator express feelings and sympathy toward any living things. A machine isn't supposed to "feel" any emotions such as remorse even the learning model T-800 in T2. For example, at the end of T2, the T-800 finally understand the reasoning behind why humans cry, BUT they can never do that. Tbh, I don't even mind the decision they made in the opening scene but Carl in Dark Fate just doesn't do it for me.....
6) Terminator: Genisys - 6/10
- First of all, I believe the characters of Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese were miscasted in the movie especially Kyle Reese. Second, of all the sequels, this one feels like the most fan-fiction terminator movies ever made, recycling scenes/concepts/soundtracks from the previous installments to make the movie more "Terminator" like. Thus, relying on cheap nostalgia to grab the audience's attention which in my opinion only made the movie even worse. The only positive for me was the design of T-3000 and what it's capable of. The action scenes were very CGI heavy which really took me out of the movie. I don't feel the stakes at all especially with the tone they were going for. At the very least, Dark Fate came up with something original and creative in the set pieces to make its "mark" in the franchise.
This is all my personal opinion of course. To me, there is quite a gap in quality between T3 and Terminate: Dark Fate in terms of the ranking. Something just seems "off" about Dark Fate and Genisys.....It could be the messy plot but I think the biggest culprit is the CGI. The over-reliance of CGI really took away the "soul" of the Terminator franchise. Every scene involving a Terminator, you can't help but notice two people sparring on a green screen set. Dark Fate and Genisys really felt like a remake or reboot of the Terminator franchise instead of being direct sequels to it.
Agreed, Genisys was kinda frustrating because the plot was all over the place and emilia was the worst choice for Sarah conner!!!

The original is the best. It’s tighter, faster, more brutal, grimier, has a better atmosphere,Arnold is genuinely terrifying as the bad T800, and the screenplay is literally perfect.

Salvation had its flaws but at least it was actually during the war and not another time traveling movie with a few minutes of actually machine vs humans war
1) Terminator 2 - Amazing action film, tells a great story, gripping from start to finish, amazing terminator performances by both Arnold and Patrick, fantastic effects that still hold up
2) Terminator - Great emotional leads, interesting concept, scary villain with compelling scenes, and awesome soundtrack
3) Salvation - I really like this one, no time travel stuff just the war setting making it unique, I like Marcus and Bale as John, more terminators and fun action, it's not clever but a fun ride
4) Dark Fate - I hate that getting rid of Skynet just makes another computer program, but the Sarah story is interesting, effects are great
5) Rise of the Machines - pretty goofy, bad John miscasting, some good action sequences
6) Genesis - has a couple cool moments, but way too all over the place with no clue of the story it wanted to tell

And you know that black guy from dark fate he could have reprogrammed t 800s because sky net before it was vanished sent lots of t 800 and Sarah Connor stopped all of them she probably give him the t 800 as leverage. To get all the t800s together to be done maybe John Connor goes back in time and arrives at the very beginning and knowing the future war he prepares and when he's done goes to the future and fights skynet
Sidenote: I think they should have had Dani be Johns daughter, with him dying trying to protect her from the Rev-9 years earlier, as a baby, but that the Rev-9 survived, still hunting an older Dani, Sarah learns of her new Granddaughter, and utomatically goes to protect her.

Terminator 2 was perfect. From story line to cinematic graphic. Hell, the cutting off the skin and showing the robotic arm was so real that I had nightmare about it when I was a kid. Most of today's cgi looked much less real than the one in t2.
