Matty Ice is one of my favorite QBs. That dude was special. He was scapegoated in that Super Bowl with that bad fumble, but the game wasn’t his fault. Quinn could have managed that game better with running and taking knees to kill the clock. The Pats would never have had enough time to get to 28 and Ryan would have a ring and a Super Bowl MVP under his belt.

Matt Ryan will forever and always be an Atlanta legend, he was our franchise qb and we loved him, his connection and passes to julio jones were the highlight of our sundays, even though he doesnt have a SB ring he did a lot with what he had, and imo is hall of fame worthy bc of his impact on the falcons team, and he does have really good stats to help with that. He just could never finish it out strong and that isnt all his fault, that sb lost wasnt all on ryan, our defense sold too along with a miss block by our RB. Not to mention that the colts failed him. He was promised a good line and a good run game in JT and he got neither yet the second he had a decent line in a colts uniform he threw for almost 400 yards and 3 touchdowns in a game vs the jags. Oh, Falcon homers you crack me up. "Matty Ice" was the starting QB for 7 of the top 9 blown leads in Falcon history including the biggest blown leads in SB history and NFCCG history. Then with the Colts, he is part of the biggest blown lead in NFL history. So, you can blame the D only so much. He was a choker, not an All-Time great.

I feel like you're not really telling the whole story. Matt Ryan never had a running game, a good o-line, and not one top-ten defense. In the years he had a good defense (not top ten) they made the Super Bowl. The only years where he had a good o-line and running game, he made the playoffs. Every time the Falcons lost in the playoffs they lost to the future Super Bowl champs, teams that made the Super Bowl, and the Super Bowl itself. So they genuinely lost to the better team. Matt Ryan getting traded to the Colts was a mistake by the Atlanta Falcons organization. They pursued Deshaun Watson but never got him so that resulted in him feeling like he was not appreciated enough for what he did for the organization. Julio was also done dirty by Shannon Sharpe.

I’m really sick of hearing these people talk so much crap about Matt Ryan, saying that it was his fault. It’s true that he isn’t as good as he used to be, but the colts still failed him. They promised him a top notch offensive line and running back. They couldn’t even do that. I wish the Colts nothing but failure from now on. As for the Super Bowl, he played amazing in that game. Despite what morons will tell you. it was his defense in Kyle Shanahan‘s ineptitude that cost us the game. Matt Ryan is a Hall of Famer. Period.
