Sport in general will never be able to thank all those values that Rafa conveys, for example to young people, so important nowadays. He's one of the best athletes in history, not only for his sporting successes but also for how he has gotten them and his exemplary behavior inside and outside the court. Just look how from all over the world admire him. And me, as so many people, who have been watching for more than 20 years almost all his matches, I join the gratitude. Honestly he played well enough to have beaten half the field. His ranking and the draw had a lot to do with this loss. Was he going to win a 15th? No but in this match he had like 11 break chances and only got 2 of them. That's rust. Lack of match play.
Are you delusional? Federer and it appears Rafa as well kept going until their bodies weren’t allowing them to compete any longer. When Roger retired, he wasn’t able to compete with the best at all anymore and it appears, Rafa is at that point too now.
