True bro! I had to crank my back dial as fuc… amd massive headache! Was so uncomfortable that i was playing pavlov suffering for real!😂😂😂😂 i will get those straps🔥🙏🙏
I swear my skull was about to shatter while playing Pavlov. Just kept losing the sweet spot then would crank the dial. So I ordered the whole comfort package 😁 I really like the simplicity of the strap but it also looks very well made. I just received the HONS lenses and absolutely love them, can’t wait to get this. I expect my VR experiences to be much more comfortable and enjoyable now. Thank you for the recommendation, you really sold me on this with the very thorough review 👍🏻
Glad it helped, I hope it does wonders for you! It def helps, I mean it's STILL not as comfortable as PSVR v1, but at least I can play long game sessions without feeling like I am in a "Saw" movie
I own three headsets: the original PSVR, the Lenovo Explorer (for PC) and the PSVR 2. The PSVR 2 is by far the most Uncomfortable headset of the three. The Lenovo Explorer is super comfortable, the original PSVR is kind of comfortable, but the PSVR 2 is freaking horrible to wear (I have to take it off every 20 minutes or so to take a small break from it. It's either my nose or forehead which gets punished after a while). They seriously needed more padding for this thing before releasing it.
Great review! Thanks for taking the time to make it. I'm going to check that head strap out. I got a set of Honz VR lenses and the additional length of the lenses and added weight puts them right on my nose and it's really uncomfortable. So I've been either using a cotton makeup pad with the lenses or wearing contact lenses when I play.
Great video thank you! I just got my psvr2 and love it, but noticed I had to crank the dial up as well. After a deep dive reddit search and your video I'm grabbing one!
I use my HP Reverb G2 Studio Form Creation comfort mod and it works extremely well. The rear weight on this one is 200 grams in a single weight but I custom fit it centered on the back by the dial with the extra Velcro that was included and it so much more comfortable and the sweet spot stays in every game I tried. I 100% recommend it over every other PS VR 2 comfort mod on the market and I’ve tried the other ones that are not as comfortable. The only issue I’m still having is my nose hitting the lenses inside if anyone knows how to fix that but this mod did help a good amount with that issue as well but not completely unfortunately.
I was having the same problem when I got mine . I almost returned it I was so upset. I figured out if I pushed the back strap completely the back of my skull I could get the perfect sweet spot and it doesn’t touch my nose at all.
Just received my comfort kit to hopefully stop it slipping whist I play. Can't you just have the visor part one click further away from your nose to stop it even touching?
@@larkins621 I was constantly adjusting the headset before and now I can go a whole session without touching it! I don't have to tighten it as much either so don't get the red indentations on my forehead anymore.
I still think the hard plastic cable holder at the front of the headset still needs to be addressed. For me there are two pressure points at the front that dig into my upper forehead. Now the balancers *might" stop those from touching my head, but I still don't know why there is no padding there Sony!
Yeah man they screwed the pooch on the comfort aspect. I guess they were too busy concentrating and the baby sized head rumble we feel when getting attacked in VR
@@tronlady1 well I guess the bespoke options for pc like big screen beyond, where they scan your face to make it a personalised fit, may eventually become standard. But that headset is something like £1149 for the headset alone! Ouch!
It is uncomfortable. Took me time to realize, maybe has to do with break in. Bought the PS2VR Glob Cluster. Haven't installed yet but unboxed it. I can tell thought and time is put in. Also generous amount of extra padding options. Cant wait to install but heard unclipping stock head band is a bitch
Do you think it is worth it to get the ultimate comfort kit or save 15 dollars and just get the strap. Do you think the counter weights on the back make the most difference or will it still be way more comfortable with just the strap
That's a tough question because it' based on how you wear it. If you like the strap to wrap rather tightly on the top of your head and really hold the main weight then you don't need the counter weights. However, if you want to wear the headset as normal and just not feel the strap then the counter weights are probably worth it. Sorry, not clear answer unfortunately
That thing looks pretty good but seems pricey for what you get. But at the same time, for years of comfort it's probably worth it. I certainly couldn't go back to the Q2 jockstrap after using my VRCover replacement. Anyhoo, have you by chance seen a "grip" mod for PSVR2 that makes it like the Index controllers? As in, I don't even have to grip the controllers, they just stay on once I pull the strap? I got one for my Quest 2 and I freaking love it, I really want something similar for PSVR2.
In part, I think the PSVR2 headset is less comfortable than the PSVR because the eye tracking and small "sweet spot" requires the headset to not move much on your head. It's too bad, but the upside is the much greater visual fidelity. I do miss the comfort of the original PSVR, which I think is the most comfortable VR headset ever. Thanks again for the review.
Yeah I wish there was a compromise though, I mean I find it much more uncomfortable. I may have bad luck, some dont seem to have issues as much (like alex with his big bulbus head)

Thank you! i say the same thing. People tell me the quest is somehow WAY more uncomfortable though. I cannot imagine. I miss the PSVR version 1 haha

I hope you like it! Let me know what you think. I've tried that, but then it doesn't feel right and the sweet spot is harder to narrow in
How do you like it? Mine's coming this week!

I don't even know what the grip controllers are honestly. Maybe I'll have to look into it!

I took the rubbery part off and stuffed it with soft thin packing materials in layers . Much more comfortable on forehead and back of head.
I guess it depends on the head. I find the new one more comfortable than the old one.
Oh man if I could have your head! I am so uncomfortable when playing (or at least used to be)
8 to 10 Double AA batteries Duracells 4 to 5 on each side try that for weight
