    Thanks for the review. Would be great if you could have some water footage along with it (that CR trip?). That’s what makes Surf ‘n’ Show reviews so helpful.

    This board is one of the funnest boards I’ve ever had. I’m a short boarder who normally rides about 32/33 L and the 6’8” at 40L actually surfs like a short board! Of course it’s more board but that tail is magic. You can step back and get incrementally more and more critical turns as you move your foot back. It’s my go to in surf that I’d just be frustrated in if I brought my short board out; so mushy surf that’s harder to get into, bigger down the line waves that you need to get up and going faster in order to make, etc. So fun.

      yeah i agree. my 6'8"" has served me well. now i am thinking about a glydra but a lil shorter for the bigger windswell days at my beachbreak

    I have 95 kg and 1.85 meters ... I have not been surfing for 1 year, but before I surfed with a PudlleJumper 5.11. I'm in big doubt if I should choose a Crowd Killer maybe 6.10 or a Hydra that is more like my old board (PJ) ... I would like a recommendation. Which to choose?

    How many kilo are you there Trip? Do you think the 6’10 would have been better for you?

    Thank you for the video! Is this board comfortable for 4 meter (~13 foot) waves? Thanks

    6'2 party crasher or 6'6 crowd killer as an easy going daily driver to sit above a groveller? Both seem to blend a shortboard and mid-length feeling. Surfing less and not as fit so my 6'2 thruster (34l) is a little hard work these days

    Great Video and useful comparison with the Smooth Operator!
    Quick one: what's your suggestion about size/rider weight (in my case: I'm 83 Kg and normally surf "fat" short-boards), I was thinking to get this one 6'8, but here you have a 7'2 and seems great.
    Thanks

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  5 лет назад +1

      Andre, the 7'2" should be good for you. You could go a little smaller and be ok though, just depends on if you'd rather have a little extra foam for paddling and getting into waves early, or have it thinned out a little and perform a little better.

      @@REALWatersports Thanks a lot!!!!
      Yep, paddling better and getting into earlier are definitely advantages, and the volume is not actually my main concern.
      My doubt is about the length related to the volume distribution. I'll try to explain:
      If the board is too long, considering that it has a kind of thin tail, I'm afraid that, when stepping back with my back foot on the pad, I'd end up sinking the tail and breaking instead of generating speed. In this case i would need to compensate enlarging the stance when riding on the pad (which i find quite uncomfortable).
      Therefore, I would like to understand if there is enough volume in the centre/back to support the rider in this particular position.
      My apologies, It's kind of hard to explain what i mean sorry for that.

      @@ANDREACRISTALDI I think I see what you mean, but that was no problem on this in PR. You can drive the back foot in and generate a lot more speed with this board than we expected to be honest.

    Aloha! Im a bit confused!....If this board has more overall range than the original is obsolete now?

    • @REALWatersports
      @REALWatersports  5 лет назад +1

      Not really obsolete, the swallow tail will still have that awesome loose turn feel in smaller waves. This one just covers a larger range better but isn't better in each scenario necessarily

      It's not to say this board is solely "for big guys", more so "helpful for big guys". Keep ripping brotha!
