the last few weeks I really like to watch photograph tutorials for mobile photography (android)...I really want to try this one here in the Netherlands.
Next time you fly to L.A., take a stop-over in Chicago on a Monday. Make sure you have plenty of time between flights to include sunset. Then go to the John Hancock Tower and go to the 90th floor observation deck. BRING THE TRIPOD! Monday nights, they allow tripods. :)
I thought that would take alot longer to blend, Thanks Heaps ill be trying this!

Awesome, they left a 20cm gap in their glass fence on Tour Montparnasse. All the photographers say thank you to the architects! Also, again a great tutorial!
ive wanted to try something like this before but was going to uae the gradient mask. Doing it with a blur seems so much simpler. Ill try it out next week but just use a tripod. Also doing it with more shots would look even better.
Very interesting technique, and an amazing result. Something I definitely want to try in San Francisco and in Budapest. Your summary says it's from the top of Notre Dame, but this is the tour Montparnasse, as you said in the beginning in the video.
Thats awesome, I didn't realize that you could place the guides that easily by percentages. I'm also wondering if instead of using a Gaussian blur how a linear gradient would look on the mask.
Brian Dunkel I tried it with linear masks of the Chicago skyline. I do not think it works so well compared to this technique. I think this is far more pleasing and reveals less differences between the layers. (people and things that move, for instance.)
One tip, at least this is what I would try: adjust the temperature first much more and then increase the blur in the mask much more. I believe this could give a more interesting, more pleasing result.
Thank you so much ! You helped me a lot with this video. I have a rendition of Stephen Wilkes due tomorrow, and this was the best thing I've seen all day. Best of luck with your future work, you're very talented !
Hey! Really cool video, and I'd like to try to make my own time slice picture. How did you adjust the camera settings during the shooting? Is it OK if I just leave it in P mode, and trust the settings to my camera? (Nikon d5100) Thanks.
Bonjour Serge, Je ne sais pas si c'est quelque chose qui se montre sur une vidéo mais je voudrais savoir comment avoir une photo hyper nette et très grande pour pouvoir la faire imprimer sur des grands formats? Merci! Keep the videos coming!
Can you show some edits with Raw Therapee and Gimp? Photoshop started to really eat my wallet and so I've ditched it until I can afford it but I need guidance on these two free programs.
Very interesting. I will use these tips for mt next timelapse. Also, it'd mean a lot to me if you checked out one of my videos. I'm making timelapses and other cool videos.
I feel like just combining the last 2 photos would make an even better final result! Having the lights vanish from right to left would look amazing
Much simpler than I thought! I'm definitely going to need to try this. Thank you!
I have never seen this done before.....quite cool
Really fantastic result !
Learnt something new today. Thanks Serge Ramelli!
c'est une vraie mode que tu viens de lancer là ... Merci beaucoup... j'ai adoré
great idea... great place for shooting.
Cool effect - will try it!

This is incredible!
Thank you for this. Very cool. The possibilities in creating other types of photos with these techniques are endless. I'm excited again!
Very nice idea and great tutorial...
Simple yet effective
Serge you are amazing! Thanks again for more great ideas!
Nice idea. I shall try that. Also will test if using a gradient on the masks gives an even smother transition than the blur.....
Wow love this, I never thought about doing this technique. So creative! Thanks Serge.
Thanks for the tutorial! Using mask and blur is a great idea, it really helps.
Amazing content Serge. You are definitely winning the 30 day challenge! :)
Thanks for the help!
Thank you very much this is the video I was waiting
Thanks Serge! I have photos from being up in Montparnasse all day and night too! I'll have to go through them to see if I can recreate this look.

HI Serge,
I would like to see a how to HDR a 360 image and not get a seam line.
Thanks
This one one I want to try Serge if I get photoshop because I can't decide if I should buy LightRoom or rent Photoshop the package.
I would love you to do a tutorial with one of your fans photos, and compare it to the results the fan is able to produce...

Great tip...thank you!

hi bro
Effectivement intéressant mais un sous titrage dans votre langue maternelle eût été sympa !!!
