Thanks for your honest review. You had the right attitude taking this cruise. You knew it was an old ship, you knew what the price point was, you had zero expectations, and you understood this is a “chill, go with the flow” short getaway. Anyone booking this cruise without all of those things…..don’t.
@@toyaj5173 I was actually on an MSC cruise right before this so I took the Brightline train from Orlando to West Palm Beach. However, I took an Uber from the train station to the terminal. Depending on where you fly into, Uber may be a good option. If it's a longer distance, you can probably rent a car for less than $100 but it will add some time to your trip (and you'll still have to get from the rental car dropoff to the terminal). Brightline actually included a small credit ($10?) for an Uber from the train station so that's a great option if you fly into a location near a train station.
Even just watching, it was a bit odd to see the pool decks basically empty 😅 I'm glad to see a more realistic review of this cruise though, as like you and other, I've seen some pretty bad reviews of this particular one.
It was definitely a different experience but I still had a great time! I think it's one of those things where if you just set your mind right and adjust your expectations in advance, you'll have a great time.
They are going to start doing 3 and 4 days on Paradise where they go to the Keys also. I'm looking forward to trying that. Again, love this little ship!

@@fanfavorite4737 Thank you! It really was a right time as long as you go into it with the right mindset!
@@FamilyAtSea Full disclosure: I’m taking this cruise for the first time in a couple of weeks, so it’s refreshing to have seen this type of review. 👍🏾
@@fanfavorite4737 You'll have a great time! A truly fun experience, wish it was longer than two days!
Been on twice, going again in 2 weeks.
Such a fun cruise...does not deserve all the hate it gets online at all.
Happy sails!
What mode of transportation did you take from the airport to the port?

Thank you so much for the info! I’m flying into Ft. Lauderdale and will look into these options!
@@toyaj5173 Brightline goes from FTL to WPB, so I would definitely look into that!
Enjoy your cruise!

I'm sure there are times where it's a lot more crowded, but I enjoyed it!
I'm guessing it helped that my sailing was Sunday-Tuesday vs Friday-Sunday.
Did you have culture shock going from the Yacht Club to Margaritaville?

I love the Paradise. My first cruise when I was a kid was on a very similar ship. It was in 1992, so everytime I go on this ship, I'm 14 again!! LOL
@@seanras1965 So much character! She may be small and old, but she is still mighty!
