Mate, whenever a team is in transition, big players have to step up. When India was in transition from 2012 to 2014, we still managed to win series like CT 2013, ODI Series win in ENG 2014. In our case, there were not many seniors so it was the youngsters who stepped up for the team. Like Kohli, Rohit, Rahane, Jadeja, Ashwin. Even Vijay wasn't that experienced then, but he scored runs overseas. They helped MSD during the tough times.
That's why it's sad to see that the seniors in AUS and SL teams are not stepping up during their crisis. Even SA aren't that great today.
