What else does Root need to do for his team to start performing at a semi-decent level? This guy has been carrying the English batting on his shoulders throughout the past couple of years, been probably the only decent fielder in the slip cordon and elsewhere, bowled his heart out to take a 5-fer earlier this year in India (the pink ball test), and has captained his team only to forlornly see them sink to defeat after defeat after defeat. This must be absolutely morale-shattering for any cricketer, let alone one with so much courage and of such high caliber -- let's not forget that he brought himself on to bowl in the absence of a specialist spinner after he had been injured and taken to the hospital earlier in the day; watched his bowlers get pummelled to all parts of the Adelaide Oval; watched on painstakingly as the top order once again failed, as has become the norm; and took an absolute battering from Starc late in the day before finally getting out. That he had the tenacity and gumption to even come out to bat after such a torrid series (and indeed, the past couple of years or so) should be enough to motivate the whole of the English team to put up some sort of a fight in the remainder of the series. Because, at the moment, they look like high-school kids put in charge of running a multi-million dollar business. If any other top-class captain had been given the resources that Root has had at his disposal during this period, they'd have resigned a long time ago. Smithy kept on piling runs whether his team was performing good or bad.
@@WinThis1 But since 2019 Ashes, all of this has changed and he doesn't look the same old Smith even in his backyard. I'm not saying that his time is up but it has now been around 2 years since he's played very well. His only hundred in this period come in the Sydney test last year which was a flat track
Australia never mentally down.
The don't have Hazelwood, Cummins, two of best in current world and on the other side England are back with their best duo Anderson, Board.
Still Australia in on the driver's seat. World champion for a reason
Unless something dramatic happens ...5-0 is on cards...
World champion? Only New Zealand and india do well outside their home conditions ...dony hype up team performing in their home conditions
@@katana_3558 lol nz 0 win in Australia 0 test win in India since 1988 once won in England
7:30 Never seen Smith happy like this 😂
That is what smith waiting for 🤣🤣
back in the days when he was the skipper, this was a common sight
When stokes captained eng for a short time eng were roaring but when root comes eng were poor as usual . I think root should became engs best batter and make stokes captain . He captained end against Pak earlier this year and was a whitewash. Why not make stokes our skipper.
Stokes is an all rounder, meaning that he already has to work on both his batting and his bowling. If you add captaincy to this, it'll increase his workload insanely. But there are a number of all rounders who are good captains. So yeah, it's worth taking a chance.
You were right
Graet batting and bowling from Australia Smith is a very good captain
Smith should be the permanent captain of Australia 😊😊😊😊😊🥰🥰🥰
@@anikkumar11 yes bro you are right 👍
Some shots by dawid Malan is impressive 🔥
Jos butler sometimes feels like Adam Gilchrist while in other moments Kamran Akmal 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kamran dala ka name mat lei
@@hinazehra9151 love ❤you Heena
Is series aur ek wo 2020 Pakistan series me 1 catch ko chhod ke jindagi me kabhi badhiya catch nahi liya hai. Bahut catch chhodta hai
this has to be the best title to a highlight video
Great bowling Australia 🇦🇺
David Malan bowls Some pure Class ❤🤘
" NO RUN IS TEMPORARY BUT WELL PLAYED MARCUS IS PERMANENT 🤣🔥"
ACCORDING TO MARNUS LABUSCHAGNE
The fifer against India in India really boosted Root's confidence in his bowling
Smith will roar back in 3rd test
@Sheikh Abdul Rehman well
Only Anderson can get him out . The shot he played this innings was totally unnecessary so I don't think he'll be over
I never want to see Starc on my dream when he is on his prime
How deadly how routhless uffffff🥺
Australia is a different team each has a good players 🤗😘
With, good climate and nature of every peoples.
With, better understanding of every peoples each other's.
My favorite team always stand tall Australia ❤
Nobody can match india efforts
They are pure talent they are revenge boys they are agressive they have hunger to win
And they achieve that
And they have megastar
"KING KOHLI"
And yet they choke in grand stages.
Travis Head is becoming the Risabh Pat of Australia, attacking middle order batsmen is what Australia needs at this moment, it can allow Smith and Labuschagne to take their time and not worry about the scoring rate
In the title it said ‘Starc delivers ultimate blow’ I thought it was referring to Root getting hit in the ‘lower abdomen’ rather than the actual wicket
"that might've been above the...the crown jewels." Gold.
Did I just saw Robbinson bowling offies 😲
Caught me off guard too
This series so far is emphasizing what an achievement it was for Indian team missing many star players to win a test at The Gabba and a series in Australia.
Good knock from marnus too..
Great series for that man
Joe afterall is a human being how much he will do single handedly fr eng everytime seeing his team's collapse carrying the Eng line up single handedly requires grit and fight which joe has shown but in Australia you need that grit and determination and discipline by a bunch of eleven set of players not by a single man which was badly missing in this series fr eng to defeat aus in aus you need those three things you cannot be frenetic in aus 😎 but hatsoff to joes courage and determination in carrying this eng line up single handedly eng cricket doesn't deserve joe he is a modern day legend
Coach- we need a fast bowling spinner
Robbinson-say no more
Thank u for highlights
I really love night matches🥰
australia is now a days,
ये हमारा इलाका है अपशब्द😀😀😀
If Butler play innings his life and some other batsman Stand with him. Then Might be little chances for England draw & Win. But If Weather good for playing match its mean All over for England....Superb bowling show by Australian Pase Attack...In this Ashies Australian team look like Superb unit...
Travis head is great bloke he should include in every format of the game
They should have given Bairstow a chance,He can play as an opener also
Hope England fight back from the 3rd test.
The mighty mighty mighty Aussies are back on track
I genuinely don't know what Foakes and Mahmood need to do to get a game
Crystal clear highlights super
Please someone tell HEAD, he is playing a test match😁😅😃🤣🏏
Sehwag 2.0 😁
His battinghas been superb so far in this Ashes Series.
Yea a great Test batsman & definitely missing him in RCB not to mention how much he resembles ABD but going off topic now lol
Criminal drop by Butler. 2 early wickets, Smith & Labuschagne both on nought. Have to grab those moments….
TRAVIS HEAD IS NOT PLAYING TEST LOL, IT'S LIKE AN ODI MATCH FOR HIM😂😂
You are right and England bowlers will take advance of him later in the series by bowling consitent dot bills which will relaease false shot from travis
*advantage *
Absolutely he's a great batsman & overall quote aggressive but that may also have to do with the fact that AUS already had such a big lead & him playing aggressive this time around is not only less burden but also what Australia would've wanted from him or any batsman batting at his place in the context of this test match in Day 4
always follow cricket australia 💖💜❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
He tried his best to save his team. Joe Root💔
Congratulations 🎉 Au
This pitch has become unplayable now from start of Day 4….4th innings batting is a death in this wicket…Ball after pitching having extra bounce and seam movement
Rubbish...Adelaide wickets, before they became drop in wickets, ALWAYS favoured spinners. Look up some of the stats for bygone eras. Added to that is the fact that Adelaide Tests were ALWAYS played over the Australia Day long weekend at the end of January when Adelaide bakes.
@@flamingfrancis kid I am talking about this test match wicket…Not the history of Adelaide pitches
It wasn’t even bad 😂😂 so easy to bat on even on day 5
Root to Starc: Hit on the middle stump, then get the edge. Starc nightmare for Joe Root. Which one hurt more?
Very saddened to see Root.
Eng is lacking the basic energy in a test match let alone of what it should be in an Ashes.
Stokes should watch Flintoff over to Kallis, it's not only about Bouncers.
Butlers keeping need some analysis.
Butler be like : I'll not pick easy one give me hardest one 🤣🤣
I became fan of Joe Root... Fighter 🔥
Love to Smith from India 🇮🇳
