Just need to fix up their ground fielding, slips catching, throwing, general catching, bowling line and length, leaving selection, shot selection, strike rotation, execution of shots, player selections, fielding placements, hunger, attitude, team co-hesion, captaincy, batting concentration time, fitness, batting footwork, batting technique and game plans. If they do all that I think they'll be alright.

No...I don't think so...this particular team is the one which Root should have played from onsett i.e. Gabba...its just becoz of Pat Cummins & Green top...England got out for 185...if conditions improve in second innings then this batting line up will do well...England will loose this match but.. they should continue with batting line up ...they might get a draw or either win 1 match either in SCG or in Tasmania...Root have to use this batting line up...Crawly, Hameed & Bairstow are better player than players in first two matches...
And don't forget...Pat Cummins is no. 1 test bowler in ICC rankings for so long not for anything...he is one of the best pace bowler in the world ...exploit any help on the surface just a little less efficiency then the greatest of all time the "Glenn McGrath"...
@@sudhanshumitra1989 I think you're right about the lineup, they should stick with this lot. Bairstow looked good yesterday and was unlucky to get out how he did, Root was good as always, Crawley gives it a crack, he might get out cheaply, but at least he gives the ball a whack, instead of just being scared and trying to survive.....which usually ends up in getting out anyway. Stokes will do what he normally does and have a hit, tends to make about 20 or 30 and gets out, but sometimes he brings a bit of magic to the table and gets a good total. England and Root would know that there isn't much of a chance of winning the series, so they should just go out there looking to have a hit and play as if they have nothing to lose. Play with reckless abandon and be aggressive, that way they might take a game or even 2.

I'm sure they know that India are masters at playing on flat wickets, and if they want to have an advantage, they should prepare a live wicket which they did. India were consistent in their performance, barring the early test where they were all out for a meagre score. The fact that Indian batsmen were peppered with body line bowling in SCG and managed to survive, does not lend credibility to your statement. England batsmen did not have the application or the fortitude to endure the Aussie attack, plain and simple. Plus India broke the Aussie fortress at Gabba by winning there. You might now say that Gabba wickets were prepared flat for India..?
