- 2024 is going to be a wild ride. I feel a heaviness that this is going to be a turning point year for our elections, food insecurity and continued rising grocery prices. Are you prepared for the "what if" our election year takes a turn for the worse, you lose your job, get sick and can't make it to the grocery store, lose government financial support, have a weather emergency and lose electric, food shortages...and so many other what if's that could happen. Get prepared.

I've been feeling that uneasiness since the holiday season began. Personally speaking it didn't even feel like a "normal " Thanksgiving & Christmas.
Praying for much needed wisdom.
I think a lot of people are struggling money wise. Lots of stuff happening all around the globe.
I hadn't felt this way until just recently. I feel like something is just off as we go into 2024. The unknowns of just the election alone should make us a little uneasy, in my opinion.
Thank you Sandy for sharing this. I to feel the heaviness of all that is going on. You are right on! Yes! We the people. They are suppose to work for us… not against us. I see a nightmare coming. I will prepare as best I can for the worst, but I will trust in God my Savior! He is Sovereign and He will work all these things out for our good and His Glory. ❤️

You are so right! Only Jesus can give us the peace we need. Interesting your husband has felt this way too. Not until just in the last few weeks have I started feeling this way. I feel like there has been a shift and 2024 is going to be like nothing we have every experienced.

I agree with you , I have been feeling the same way since last fall. I have been preparing since then. My daughter and I have been really struggling to keep my home with the cost of living. I grow a lot of my food and I have prepped food and froze it. But the stress in our environment in this country is very heavy and will continue to get heavier.
I think the cost of living is really hitting many people hard. I just stopped after reading your comment and prayed for you, Laura. You are doing everything you can and God is going to help you.

I, too, am feeling the angst of 2024 (since the holidays). I am a Believer and I want to be wise with my spending habits (adding no debt), be alert and aware of my surroundings with family and friends. I am also in the middle of decluttering and embracing life without the burden of stuff!

With the weather getting colder, this reminds me to update the emergency supplies in my car to with cold weather essentials. It is going to be in the single digits next week in my area.

I believe you're right about election years.
It was February 2020 (beginning of that election year) when they started pulling their last event on us.
…and things have gotten worse since 2020…so now what may be in store for us 4 years later…
Sandy, you could be so right about so many of the things you talked about. I always think about those things and have a back up plan in mind. I hate to think this way too, but we must. That is using the wisdom Good gave you. I haven't felt this uneasiness until recently, and I just feel that this election year is going to turn us upside down. So many unknowns in what could happen.

It seems that many are feeling this. I have watched things continue to decline in the world but, have never felt like "this is different". That is what I am feeling this year.

I have respect for everyone's opinions. We all have our own opinions in life. It's when we can't get along, just because of having a differing opinion, that seems always seems so sad to me.

The 14th ammendment, section 3 of the Constitution, read it... the fact that Trump took HOURS to tell the "people" on January 6th to go home, that he would NOT respond faster after multiple requests by his staff, legal counsel AND family... that alone would keep Trump off the ballots, and unable to hold ANY government role. Read thru the Constitution... it's there, plain as day!
