- Here's one I've had on my list to pick up for a VERY long time, and I was super happy to find this ES2 for a bargain price recently, after many years of looking out for one.

best demo of the ES2 right here, thank you!
Cheers! 😊
I love the way these things look. Not sure I need another analog delay but good demo !
Cheers mate! And yeah, me too. 👍
I used to build a few pt delays. I had an on/off/momentary on toggle to boost feedback. It worked if the feedback was at halfway. The feedback on these whilst going mental doesn't seem to run away in volume, which is nice. Mine had a similar style toggle to knock the delay to minimum. Mine don't have foots witch's, they're built for tabletop performance. I'm working on a twin delay with modulation and a seasick knob that throws the delay time in different directions. Keep up the great reviews this is a new one on me. You can't have too many delay units.
Sounds like a lot of fun! 😁
Thanks for the support! I have no intention of stopping any time soon. 😜
I've toyed with buying one of these for years. It sounds great and has tap tempo, and I like the idea of the slider for desktop use. The downsides for me are lack of stereo output, which I believe adds so much to a delay with modulation, and the lack of a full wet setting. I haven't checked out the ES3 yet, but your demo has piqued my interest in the ES2 again.
Stereo is a hard feature to find on analogue delays. There really aren't many about!
The mix knob not going to full-wet is definitely a big flaw that's tough to overlook.
I'll be doing a shoot-out with this versus the Rubberneck at some point, as they have similar features. I also want to get an ES3 soon, if I can find a good deal on one...
Thanks for watching!
@@PedalExperiments it was a very enjoyable demo to watch. I shall look forward to the shootout with the Rubberneck.
@@PedalExperiments Will you get around to doing a shootout with Ibanez Echo shifter and Rubberneck?
Unfortunately not. I decided a while ago that they're not really that comparable since the Rubberneck is BBD and the Echo Shifter is PT2399, and thus have very different sounds as well as features.
You might want to check out my new, 'analogue delay shoot-out' video that's going up later today, though!
@@PedalExperiments The echo shifter is in fact BBD, not PT2399. Just double checked gut shots to make sure my ears wernt deceiving me. The ES2 has 2 Coolaudio V3205 BBD chips. That the Rubberneck and Echoshifter are different...i can very much agree with that, its what i like about them. I find the Echoshifter to have more of an shine-y/singing quality, bigger dynamics. The Rubberneck more compressed, gritty, nice controls, initimate sound. Im an major fan of both :D. Im sure to keep an eye out for your analogue delay shoot-out, im always eager for colourfull/characterfull delay pedals :) Thank you for replying.
'sonic wankery' bahahahaha
that's my new favorite phrase.
just bought one of these and CANNOT WAIT to make noise. sub'd.
Haha, thanks! I appreciate the support!
I bought one of these, brought it to my practice space, a bandmate wanted to try it, and fried it by putting the wrong power on it - first day into the pedal's life aha - Bought another the next day and still have it after 6 years!
Ouch! I bet that stung.
Hope they paid you back for the replacement?
@@PedalExperiments unfortunately they did not, but that's life :D
Ah man, sorry to hear that. 😔
I have one of these. It really sounds great but the controls sit in a strange place between table top and floorboard use.
Yeah, definitely! The slider is great, but too delicate to safely use with your foot.
