Greetings from Switzerland! Nice video and super cool to see some swiss rifles, I wheep at your prices tho, I picked my K31s up for 300 each and can get a Stg57 for 450 ^^'. I hope the availability for those in the staates gets better at any point, would be awesome if more ppl could enjoy them. About your hot take, for export you are correct, not much diffrence, here locally tho ppl prefer the K31 over the K11 due to the better action and better (less round counts) barels. But everything with a bigger than 7.53mm barels get exported anyways so it shouldnt matter from where you are at. Ps, try to let yours stretch its legs from time to time if you get the chance, I shoot mine twice a week on 300 yards with irons, it's a blast! Also great colab, subbed!
I was after a k11 for a hot minute! but wound up with a g11, and then a k31 also. Still cant lay my hands on a k11. My g11 was missing the cocking knobs so I did a 3d print. Im currently out but I have them on ebay from time to time! let me know and ill get you a set! My g11 is also missing the mag which is almost more than i paid for the rifle :/. I figured if I picked up a k11 i could use one mag for both. and for only 50% more id be getting the k11 as well. Everyone talks k31 allll the time, and its slick, the bolt works more smoothly bc theres less binding bc its shorter, and parts are way more plentiful and less expensive than for the schmidt rubins. Theyre usually in better shape. Yours here looks like mine around the buttplate- they tend to be worn there. Peeps say its from stacking the rifles in the snow, but I dunno how true that is. #hege66.
I have 96/11 2x k11, and k31. 31 is heavier than k11, but longer thicker barrel + shorter action, giving about same length. 96/11 is most accurate, with 31 close. For quicker shooting, I do better with the painful K11. I'm tiny, it's lighter, and I can acquire target in the sights a bit faster. If you get 'em hot enough, those longer bolts do bind a bit more than the short k31 version. I still think Steyr 1886-88 models are faster. :P
