When this sensor goes out will it completely shut off the AC button functions? My screen won’t show any values and buttons don’t work in my 2002 E39 M5
No, if this sensor will go out everything will pretty much function normally. You need to us INPA or ISTA to see the code and know it is failing. If it fails it simply won’t automatically turn on the air recirculating when there are unburnt hydrocarbons in the air.
I'm actually retrofitting this on my E90, would be a great way to test if the sensor is working!
