Fantastic! The "clear in between color coats" trick is something I did on my '74 three-tone hardtail, but for a different reason. I wanted a protective coat over the dark brown in case I screwed up the red. ☺ The close-up was greatly appreciated, by the way...
I like the 2 tone bursts because they tend to make the amber/yellow far too orange on the 3 tones. This is a perfect example of what a 3 tone burst should be.
The names might not help you much. The yellow is called yellow stain. (yes that's the actual name) the dark is called dark salem and the red is called candy burst.
