  • Kevin Connolly was born in Helena, Montana in August of 1985. Born without legs, Kevin was otherwise a healthy baby and grew up like any other Montana kid; getting dirty, running in the woods, and getting dirty some more. Now, Kevin wants to take you into his world...
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*

I envy you, you know I always think my life was a mess, but seeing you (sorry) with your limitation and still have the courage to be happy and carefree make me think twice to think bad about myself.

He poops in a sack attached to his stomache directly, when he poops, he has to empty the bag and clean it

I'd find things like these prosthetic designs more fascinating than intimidating, but having Autism, I'm not to a inclined towards the "normal."
I honestly think the best promotions for these sorts of changes would be to have some disabled athletes use them. Once people grow famous for the use of less normal looking prosthetic systems, they will grow more socially acceptable.

Or, like this man does, just be a "normal" person doing "normal" things and people will just learn to accept it.
