Hi! I don’t usually comment on videos (or ever) but i have my phonetics exam in about 12 hours and your videos have been my lifeline. Thank you so much for everything!
Thank you for this Billie 💚. I only recently realised that intonation is one of the main ways we communicate our true feelings in English. It's often not what you say, it's the way you say it !
Hello Billie. I am struggle with pronuntiation ¨every¨ and similars, with ¨___-tion¨ in many words and finally, with ¨s and z¨ sound too. I appreciate all your lessons to improve pronuntiation skills.
Thanks a lot for this video . We want more videos on intonation where we intend to learn by following a lot of examples. Please provide videos through a lot of examples.
Thankyou very much Billie, it's a very helpful lesson. I have been referring to your videos to learn. One because it's my passion to teach spoken English, another I have a opportunity to teach too. Thanks again.
Hey Billie I love you so much my dear teacher Some days ago I had a phonetics exam and I can get a highest score by watching your nice videos. Thank you for helping and also teaching us. I really appreciate you. One the questions about aspiration and non aspiration was a bit confusing and most of my friends couldn't solve it, however I can with your help Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video. The slight rise at the end of the "bored" "Hmmm" sounded more "dubious" or "doubtful" to me. If I am bored "Hmmm" would be more abbreviated with a lower pitch at the end.
Hey Billie, first off thank you in excess for your time in which you made all these videos and share with us. I'm feeling grateful after watching this video, I was baffled about the intonation but now it's all clear to me. May ancient of days bless you! Really I have no words for this video. It is amazing as me, haha, I'm little crazy too 😂😂. Thank you once again 😇❤🕉 Love from India 🇮🇳
I love your lessons so much. Thanks a million! 1. Could you please tell me the differences between these terms in Phonetics and Phonology: pitch, intonation, tone, tune? 2. Do the terms: the rise/ fall...tone/tune/intonation mean the same thing? 3. Please help me with syllable division in transcription.
Hello! Some great questions! I have a few videos answering them: What is pitch? ruclips.net/video/2iZRpHA4xII/видео.html The 3 Ts of Intonation (tonicity, tone & tonality): ruclips.net/video/1QR3zLzrqfI/видео.html Tone units & Tonic syllables: ruclips.net/video/nmyo3Nzi9L0/видео.html Usually, we don't show syllable boundaries when we transcribe. I am considering making a video on syllable boundaries soon!

It would be interesting to have a video about when a V becomes an F in rapid speech or in word linkings.
Hello! I have two videos about linking sounds. You can watch the first one here:
