    I hope the the Govermentt of La Rioja hire you to create marketing about La Rioja, I love how you describe and sell the living in the city, in this case, Valencia. Incredible, I love how you describe all. You are welcome to La Rioja!! If you like Valencia, I cant imagine Logroño, the capital of La Rioja. It is surrounded by a green ring, it has a big park called La Grajera with is jus 1 hour walking from the city and much more. I glad you love Spain so much!!

    Hola soy valenciano en primer lugar la sanidad no es gratuita lo pagamos todos con impuestos yo creo que tengáis que forzar a la gente española hablar en inglés sí yo me fuera a Inglaterra o USA tendría que hablar en inglés para que me entiendan y sería fantástico aprender un idioma pero no voy a obligar hablar mí idioma a otro pais si no entiendes el idioma para eso está el traductor por si esa persona no entiende el idioma o qué aprendan el idioma de ese país con el tiempo lo agradecerá saludos

    I just want to know if Valencia is becoming anti tourist?

    • @mari_schultz
      @mari_schultz  5 дней назад

      Hey Mary! I did see some graffiti in the city center saying "tourists go home" but nothing more than that. There are no strikes or abuse towards tourists in Valencia. I feel generally safe and respected and I love Spanish people and their openess. And don't think Spanish people hate tourists as individuals or generally the international environment. They are protesting more against the mass tourism, against the slow response or no action from the government regarding the regulations and against the lack of sustainable tourism

    Thanks. I’m moving to Valencia in October and I’m wondering about the best schools for getting a student visa and good classes. Any suggestions?

      @mari_schultz  16 дней назад +1

      I hope I got it right that you are looking for a school with Spanish classes in Valencia? You can check out Taronja school and Hispania - they have long-term courses and offer support for students needing a visa with all the necessary documentation

    Can you please make a video explaining the different “barrios” in which one can live? I’m planning to move with 3 young kids and looking for a good school private or semiprivate, we would like to be in the center and walk to schools and everything else! Thank you!!!

      Noted 🫡 Actually this Wednesday a similar video is coming up! 😄 That one can be useful for you! But still I'll take into account to make a video about areas that are more family-oriented 😉

    Note that free healthcare only covers EU nationals. Non-EU residents should get private healthcare insurance.
    Minute 10:00 Be safe than sorry. Avoid El Cabanyal/Cabañal and Nazaret areas at night as there are all kind of criminals lurking in the dark and looking for a victim/prey.

    • @mari_schultz
      @mari_schultz  Месяц назад +1

      Not always, if non-EU residents are legally employed in Spain or are self-employed and are contributing to Social Security system they gain free public healthcare. Moreover, retirees from United States, Canada, and certain Latin American countries, have bilateral agreements with Spain and can transfer their public healthcare rights to Spain. Also if you are in Spain under a family reunification visa and the family member you are joining is already covered by the Spanish Social Security system, you may also be covered without needing private insurance.
      Yes, I agree about the neighborhoods... :/
      Thank you for your comment!!

    I’ve been to Valencia and many other European cities. Spain, as many other European countries, is an open air museum with very few conveniences. Summers are very hot. Some buildings have no ACs. Restaurants open late as in all Spain. You can only eat outside, and only at 7 pm they open for inside dining. Very few food vendors, like we have in US that you can grab and go- burritos, cheesesteak, deli type shops. The food scene can’t compete with the US where there’s huge diversity of international and American cuisine.
    Restaurant service is far worse than in U.S. It’s Very touristy, crowded old city. Gas is expensive. Pharmacies are tiny and there aren’t choices for OTC medicine. There are few sport facilities on scale. In and around the city we have 5 indoor swimming pools and 6 ice skating rinks in 3 miles radius. Every high school and college has its own athletic complex. Not in Spain. Grocery stores are ok but can’t compete with Whole Foods, Weigmans and Trader Joe’s. As for young people, Boston, Miami, NYC, LA, San Diego, Nashville have much more to do than in any European city due to amount and quality of school. Boston has 50colleges with more than 300000 students. NYC has even more. Oh, and there’s a wealth tax in Spain that you have to pay on unrealized gains as well as the tax on global income. Small country with few opportunities, strict labor laws, high unemployment.
    I imagine that Americans who move to live abroad are those who cannot succeed in the US. If you are well off you can visit Europe for a month at a time. But not move there permanently

      Thank you for your thoughts! Didn't really get why you watched this video in the first place if you are not planning on moving from America and you like it there so much...but it's fine 🤔
      I am glad you like America that much, stick to that place then! It is important to feel comfortable and happy in the place you live in, so kudos!
      The only thing I'll add is that Americans who move to live abroad are just seeking better quality of life. And I assume majority of them actually succeeded in life if they choose a retirement visa and live on passive income or they choose a digital nomad visa where they have remote well-paying jobs.

      Perfecto!!! Quedate en Usa. Ya sabes...un esguince 30.000$
      Más ambulancia, 5000$
      Lo de la oferta gastronómica...jajajajaja!!! En fin...la ignorancia es muy atrevida...España cuna de la cocina mediterránea.
      Segundo pais en esperanza de vida...
      Valencia, tiene 2161 años de Historia. Igual que vosotros.
      Lo que no encontraras es supermercados de armas.
      Ni matanzas masivas.
      35009 muertos al año por arma de fuego.

    You have 4 videos, you have been 1 month around, in your videos you show your list of groceries and speak about how America is and you have 379 subscribers
    I have 353 videos, I teach Russian, German, Arabic, Dutch, Artificial intelligence, programming, I have been 4 years and I have 304 subscribers. :)))) One cannot stop loving the intellectual level of the ordinary masses.
    The good news for me is that I never wanted to have subscribers, I used it to leave a repository of a bit of the things I know for the legacy when I am gone if that is useful for everyone.
