I feel so calm, positive atmosphere in Sagunto. And now you have a good memory from there like a magnificent bowl😉🤗😍
Great video, Mari! Thank you for posting 😊
Nice too see this couple. More interesting to watch.
My mom and I went to Sagunto last fall while we were staying in Castellon! Beautiful place with so much history ♥ Edit: 8:39 We saw that same cat in the old town when it was just a kitten! So sweet to see that it made an appearance in your video!
Oh wow! That’s so cool ✨ So it’s a famous cat of Sagunto who would have known! 😸
Magnificent ❤
The heating issue is the same in for example Australia and even in the UK. I actually bought a heating blanket when I lived in Australia because it was so cold in the flat during the Australian winter. I guess Spain is the same as Australia that most houses and building are uninsulated because of the climate.
I hear you! I need a heating blanket asap 😀
Just fyi, it's RESIDENCY, not "residentship". Ship is for citizenship, resident becomes residency.
O, I see you had a delicious pumpkin soup!😄 Autumn is perfect in Spain, except hurricane, of course🙂
In most videos comparing the quality of life in the USA and the EU, the content creators usually start with a disclaimer that the lifestyle in America just wasn't working for them, but this is only their opinion. I think that this almost discredits them, and I'm glad that you didn't do this. The only people who can actually be happier living the "American" lifestyle are certainly rich people who can afford to live in the most exclusive "pedestrian-friendly" neighborhood, and shop in the bourgeois grocery stores. I don't see how you can objectively claim that having unhealthy food, 🛒 higher insurance payments, 🏥 insanely higher rent or mortgage rates, 💰 no mobility whatsoever unless you own a car 🚗 which is very expensive (especially when you factor in parking fees for having a social life and oil changes which occur more frequently when you have more things to do certain months), and utterly boring and uninviting public spaces 😒 might work out just fine for SOME PEOPLE. That is so unnecessarily apologetic to American capitalism. Considering the average person (median national income earner), this way of living is working out for absolutely NO-ONE in the USA. 🤦 And that's an unbiased appraisal based on empirical observation. 🤷 There is zero need to worry about offending someone for educating them on this social reality. Keep up the good work! 👍
Halloween in Spain is not very important because for the vast majority of adults it is a holiday that does not matter to them and is of completely foreign origin. It is usually celebrated especially for the children who want to celebrate it by watching it american series and movies, since here the official spanish holiday is "Dia de todos los santos" in which we go to the cemetery to pay our respects to the deceased. Obviously, children prefer to dress up in fun things and be given candy than to go to a cemetery and see a lots of sad people.
Yeah that’s right! 👍
In the north of spain we have already the Samaín, which is autochthonous.
As a current resident of the Raleigh NC suburbs you are my personal Valencian reporter. I never miss a single report. Thank as always for your thorough, practical and useful information. Looking forward to the next report.
Thanks Patrick! 🥹🫶
Nature has no bad weather and that,s great.
We love your videos. You find interesting topics and give unique information not found on other channels. We love your fresh point of view. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks Mark! 🥹✨💥
I would have those fried treats with a coffee as well to help cut the sugar sweetness. Nice to know about autumn in Valencia.
I liked churros with dark chocolate 👍
para ver esos colores hay que ir a otras zonas....
In Spain there is no deciduous native vegetation because the Mediterranean climate is quite extreme: Here there is abundant water in winter, but if you throw away your chlorophyll in autumn you cannot photosynthesize. However, in summer it does not rain so there you cannot photosynthesize either. That is why our species have an adaptation to preserve their leaves during the winter. You can only see deciduous species in areas close to rivers (which maintain humidity in summer) and in the north of Spain (where the climate is Atlantic). Perhaps the most characteristic and widespread are chestnut and oak trees. In the Sierra de Huelva, for example, there are areas of both species, but they are anthropogenic plantations. Herbaceous species behave in the same way. They are generally annual and only appear during rainy periods, mainly in autumn and spring. In summer this type of species disappears. There is grass now because it is raining. These plants will die when the rainy period is over and will not come out again until next year. (Autumn and spring species are different). Edit: I am talking about the native vegetation of the forest, in the city there is what the mayor decided, with many species that would not survive on their own without human care.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing your knowledge! 🙌🏻
Such a nice vibe to this video! Thanks Mari! ☺️☺️ (ps we are waiting to hear about our DNV before we move there..its been 5 days now 🤞🤞🤞🥲)
Good luck!!🤞🏻We waited around 14-16 days. You’ll get it, no worries 😉 Thanks for the support! 🙌🏻
Валенсия прекрасная, зелёная и солнечная, осенью не пахнет
How do I get a job to move there?
Another great yet sad video from you Mari. We were in Valencia last week. The people were amazing in how they rose up to help their communities. Your information is more thorough and and honestly delivered than the actual news. Once again, great job. You are becoming our go to source for all things Valencia
Thank you Patrick! ☺️ Always a pleasure to hear from you! You were in Valencia just briefly?
Yes we were in Valencia Arrived the day of the storm. We did however have an amazing time. 90% chance we move there. Looking in Arrancapins. We’ll be neighbors. 😊
Mari, Thank you for your video! Do you know if the train from Valencia to Alicante is operating?
Hi Elena! It’s not operating right now ☹️ but I believe buses are operating
Dear Mari, Thank you for your reply! Do you have info if Alsa buses are operating the line Valencia- Alicante? Thank you in advance
It's so good to see the Spaniards say that they love welcoming new people. My son lived there last Summer as a marine science intern and I spent some time with him in Valencia and absolutely fell in love with it. I'm from Florida and we love the Spanish language and Latin culture and I'd absolutely love to spend more time there.
we sufrered the same or worst in 1957....and Valencia was born again STRONGER...this time will be the same
You videos in English goods for who my wife understand the thing. Thanks.
Most informative video ive seen this week, without using victims as props. ****
What a thorough overview, far more better than the official news channels. Muchas gracias!
Vivo en Valencia. En la ciudad no ha pasado nada. El daño se ha sufrido en los pueblos que están junto a la ciudad en la zona sur.
Hi Marina, exactly, this is what I mention in the video - nearby towns and villages. Hopefully you watched fully the video 🙌
Thanks so much for keeping us diligently updated. Your love of the city and the people there are so evident in your videos ❤️. Inspite of tragic losses, yes, Valencia will recover, especially with how amazing people are so quick and willing to volunteer their help - very resilient and so touching.
Thank you Maria! Yes, agreed! 🙌
Valencia Ciudad no ha sido afectada ! No digan mentiras 🤨 Han sido pueblos de la provincias de Valencia,Andalucía, Castilla y Murcia .
Hi Ana, exactly, this is what I mention in the video - nearby towns and villages. Hopefully you watched fully the video 🙌
Soooo, how many dams have been removed from rivers in Spain following the orders of Führer Úrsula????
😢😢😢
Im going to Barcelona on the 29th and next day to Valencia. Hope there will be no problem. 😢
trains are operating between Barcelona and Valencia, plus by that time hopefully metro in the center will be reopen again and things will get a bit easier around
You go to València for the great climate. Oh.
natural disasters can happen anywhere but yeah...who would think eh..
It will take years to recover and eventually it will be as before. Countries recover. Time heals all wounds. New generations arrive.
I live in Portugal and hope to visit Valencia one day!!
Thanks for the info. We are still planning to visit in Dec. for Christmas from Barcelona to Valencia. We’re hoping we can help in some way.
Dog petting room 😂
😅😅😅
@Mari in Spain ¡¡¡MUCHAS GRACIAS DE CORAZÓN! ¡¡AMUNT VALENCIA!! (vIVA vALENCIA)
Thanks so much for the update Mari! I'm on my flight back to the States (hopefully very brief 😅) and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have even make it to Valencia during my trip 🥹 Keep being amazing! ✨
aww thank you Anthony! good luck with everything! ✨
Это большая трагедия. Народ обединился и справится с этой бедой. Все будет восстановлено, но погибших не вернеш.
Thanks!
Thank you Glenn! 🙌
Hope the people and the city will recover soon 🥀
the govern want themEliminated. Just search some video, no help at all. Private only and police block who wants to go there to give needs and machinery to help.
indeed 💔
As a Canadian I prefer to vacation in EU as it just feels more interesting and as you said the food is outstanding. Due to walking and food quality I can enjoy all the great cuisine and still not gain any weight . Even with language barriers vs the US I still prefer exploring in EU.
This has been a flood zone for thousands of years. Why build so many things there? Especially underground parking lots are not a good idea.
Thanks so much for all this through information. Please stay safe, I hope you can get enough groceries, and let’s hope this weekend’s foreseen storm is just a regular mild one 🙏🏽
thank you Maria! 🙌
I live in the US and I’m not surprised this disaster happened, I have volunteered with our national weather service for 20 years and sadly the climate change is real. Where I live we are having one of the worst droughts on record
HAARP and cloud seeding...these storms aren't natural!
Unfortunately, Spain is dead man walking. With such a low birth rate, it has no future. It also has 11.7% unemployment. Expect a lot of the social benefits you enjoy today to get severely limited down the road. The same is true of Italy, Greece and a number of other European countries. La dolce vita was great while it lasted, but the party is over.
Thanks Mari.
Los supermercados están vacios porque miles de personas han comprado toda la comida y la han llevado caminando hasta las zonas afectadas cerca de valencia. Solidaridad de la gente.
Thanks for such an interesting report. Prayers for the Valencian families🕯
