Well as a ex Soldier and Gulf one participant. I though this was a honest upfront view of what is known as a "Cluster-F#ck" They didn't have the right kit Intel and all the rest neither did we... but as always we muddled through and got the job done, It is a embarrassment that the story was exaggerated but Chris deserves respect he served his country

I'd like to see Ryan and Michael Asher on the same stage. Maybe we'd finally find out the truth about the mission. Asher retraced the mission in the patrol's footsteps10 years after the fact. He interviewed many of the Iraqis along the way who had contact with the patrol. Very illuminating.

Well, Michael Asher's account was a little bit too convenient. He found all the people involved and had a totally uncritical view of their accounts despite the fact that it was the last years of Saddam Hussein's reign. If you don't have an agenda to push you would at the very least consider the possibility that you're being set-up to embarrass the SAS or at the very least that the people interviewed are under indirect duress not to embarrass their government.

Ive read all the books on bravo two zero and though there are conflicting stories , but you can't get away from the fact the patrol was let down by their superiors and poor intel, poor planning and preparation . Lessons were learned but not before three brave lads needlessly lost their lives in a mission which was a cock up from beginning to end. .If Chris and never been so highly trained he wouldn't have made it to the Syrian border . At the end of the day they are only human and shit happens in war but all the books were good reading despite the discrepancies in the storues .

Of course not.... he will get caught out in the lies. In this film he says how the boy either seen the claymores or one of them YET in his book he maintained that it was one of the team that moved and blamed him. I suspect he didnt let them film the rest because of the questions the audiance would have because its probably mostly a crock of shit

him and the other prat macnab got slagged off for the way they excagerated what actually happened in Iraq , even their commading officer did a statement on interview in the video , the real bravo two zero stating that most of what was in their books was certainly not in their reports after the invasion ... ive never read chris ryans or macnabs books since , I also read they were both banished from other meetings where former troops meet

The CO admitted to them in their debrief that they abandoned the patrol - that the chain of command made all kinds of amateurish errors and the MoD spent decades trying to cover their own incompetences. They allowed 'McNab' and 'Ryan' to release their books after censoring them with a fine toothcomb and allowing a dead patrol member to have some blame shifted onto him (Vince Phillips). They tried to ruin 'Mike Coburn' and his family during a court battle that lasted years when he eventually tried to publish his own version with the truth in it. The profits of Coburn's book were/are shared with every silent patrol member and the families of the dead.

because nobody else could possibly share the same name and until anyone knew his real name, they couldn't kill him? You must be something to do with Military Intelligence.
