I actually got hooked on Raid from the first time you promoted them, it’s pretty fun game to play to kill some time.
Hey I love the videos! I have a good idea for a video that I personally would love to hear from you, a video about the emperors intended role for each primarch. Some are obvious but some are tricky I think.

Do NOT, I repeat do NOT tell the Blood Ravens about the Charnel Guards relics.
I based half my army off of them still play them as blood angels but they give me the excuse to use a lot of “rare” military units from 30k armor armaments super heavy’s ect. The whole stasis thing is so cool to me. Like the whole keep in stasis in order to increase the chances of your troops lasting longer makes so much sense. I really wish we had some books about them. The other half is flesh eaters
The stasis lore really adds to the Blood Angel vampire 🧛♂️ aesthetic ✨️

As a Blood Angels player and painter, I can never get enough of them. I thought about making my own successor chapter: The Gory Get…they’d make Flesh Tearers look like Boy Scouts!
The Charnel Guard like their Blood Angels suffered from the both the ever lingering Red Thirst and the terrifying Black Rage, but like so many sons of the Angel and those of the Blood they fight on nevertheless with these flaws within them. The Charnel Guard deserves every honor and glories earned by them, and their continue crusade against the enemies of mankind in the Dark Imperium is solely needed to spread hope to loyalists and fear to the traitors and aliens.
The chapters that need to be allied with each other always seem like the ones that have it the toughest.
I feel the stasis is actually counterproductive with the sions of Sanguinius, without the arts that soothe them and the constant battles they would fall to the black rage and red thirst faster than they could replace the fallen brothers in the Death Company.
I mean the black rage is a curse right? It’s something warp based. I don’t know how souls in stasis work but maybe it would actually allow them to be temporarily cut off from the warp, or put in a state they can’t experience the effects. The Red Thirst seems like it would be a bigger problem, but maybe essentially going to sleep for long periods of time is enough to mitigate it somewhat?

Charnel Guard are great, I'm planning to paint some. Also, when I was recently reading up on them I found a nice fan made chapter called the Charnel Brethren, which was quite well done imo.
Yes more of the tragic sons of the angel, shall his blood line forever fight the dying of the light and the fall to the black rage

Fuck. Yes. I have a full army of these actual space vampires. Badasses and deserve so much more. Remember when they flung themselves from Land speeders on a city and started butchering corrupted civilians? Nobody does
I've always been a bit up in the air about which Space Marine chapter I want to do with the models I've got. I wanted to do Deathwatch until I realized someone else in my area already has a Deathwatch army. I've always wanted to do some lesser known successor chapter, just to get an outlier faction on the table and make the world of 40k feel bigger for whoever I come across. Lamenters top my list (although they tend to be really well known, relatively), as do the Aurora Chapter, and the Red Scorpions. Although the Charnel Guard have a very interesting color scheme, as do the Angels Encarmine, at least with their white Death Company. Mortifactors are a neat chapter too, or even Fire Angels.
Auugh choice paralysis.
You could play the Ashen Claws. There can't be too many people who play an army of non-Chaos renegades of unclear allegiance who sometimes fight as mercenaries for the Carcharodons.
This should have been the original name for the Fourteenth. Would have been far more poetic, and still have fit both the Barbarus and Nurgle theme.
A great name for a chapter. The word charnel always reminds me of cain’s House of Mysteries , the old DC comic series Neil Gaiman assimilated into his Sandman world. Great horror for the day.
I wasn't aware there was a tuff period beforehand in which you almost lost your amazing channel. I couldn't imagine a more grim dark setting than facing the world without your wonderful stories my friend !

It's interesting to how The Charnel Guard has taken part in several "purges" and seems to have been re-payed in valuable technology. Methinks the High Lords of Terra had a favourite chapter before The Minotaurs
Well, some of that valuable old-tech seems to come from their origins as a 3rd founding chapter (especially with the most recent expansion on their lore, that their first chapter master was none other then Zephon, The bringer of Sorrows himself, its implied they may have been formed from the Angel's Tears (the blood angels legion equivalent to destroyers). They do seem to have a close connection to the High Lords of Terra though.
