Hello. Thanks for the video. There is a mistake on black rage: black rage reroll all attacks, not only melee attacks. Actually Tycho can applied rapid fire on himself when he is leading a unit. So you can basically do 12 Mortal wound on infantry in a shooting phase at 12 inch. He can actually join a command squad, wich can have 2 heavy weapon and full inferno pistols, all of them will be on rapid fire with him and if you add a lieutenant you will have lethal hit as well. You can also play tycho in a gladius detachement in a tactical squad or assault squad with a sanguinary priest. With the bolter discipline enhancement on the priest, in a tactical doctrine, you can score up to 24 mortal wounds on infantry with just tycho at 12 inch. He is just an insanely strong character for just 75 points ! Better than Mephiston in my eyes.

With all HQ’s that are Leaders now, remember that their unit can shield them. Their toughness and wounds being worse should not be a huge problem, compared to the absolute buff of having a lot of guys around
Mephi should be lone operative and got boosted stats. They just don’t know the lore. Lib dread is better caster than mephi, who is the strongest loyalist psyker.

I'll wait for the Space Marine side of the Leviathan box to release separately and find Dante before I go hard into my BA army. In the mean time I'm starting Drukhari.
Leviathan isn't really a great box to start BA with. Can't take Sternguard and we don't really have much use for flamers, not a lot of melee units either. You'd be much better off with Indomitus or the DA (Yes DA) Combat Patrol boxes
Sorry I’m new to 40K so I apologise if this is a dumb question. But is there any reason why I couldn’t paint all the miniatures from leviathan as a non-compliant chapter? I didn’t think stuff like Space Wolves could have Sternguard vets before??
18:55 it better be the opposite. Thunder hammers only being s8 AND going down one damage kinda made them no longer good at the one thing we brought them for, which was throwing thing lime a missile at the highest toughness thing on the other side of the table, deleting it, and then dying. Thunder hammers have kind of lost their roles in the game in 10th in general since there are so many better anti elite and infantry options and they can't go toe to toe with high toughness things anymore. If they cost more than a fist there is no reason I would ever take one.
Genuinely wondering what's gonna happen with the Grey Knights. Not including them here makes me wonder if we'll be some of the last releases again lol.
Nothing in any of these indexes have the potential to be as powerful as the hellfire rounds strat. 2 Killteams with 3 assault cannon terminators each is a shit-ton of mortal wounds Slap on Oath of moment vs monster keyword Attach a Captain with rites of battle to use it on 4 (3?) units.
That will last around a month until gw realised they broke it. Then they will fix it and just break something else. Rule book will be relevant for a month tops. Like every other edition 😂😂😂
Seems like they really nerf Dante in 10th considering he loses the cool part that made Predition unique and strong. Yet his axe is still not Damage 3. I’m still going to cop the model but as a soon to be BA player Dante not being great, lack of primaris jump packs (I’m literally just going to kitbash old jump packs onto them and run them as assault marines) on top of losing the relic dreads and vehicles to legends. It seems like in an attempt to simplify 40k GW is removing some very fun options. Hopefully since I’ll be playing casual we can morph these rules some.
The unit leader restrictions are immensely disappointing and asinine. Half of our squads and characters can’t even join up. Sanguinary priests (and mephiston) can’t join join a single BA unique unit. Sanguinary guard only being led by captains sucks and doesn’t even fit lore (they’re bodyguards for ALL of the chapter’s commanders, which includes librarians, chaplains, lieutenants, etc.). And that our DC are entirely restricted to running with chaplains and Tycho (with no room for a generic captain/lieutenant falling to the black rage) is annoying. It all feels infuriatingly restrictive that half of my models won’t be able to be used with most of my characters, and most of my characters will only be leading assault squads.
The characters need updating to primaris so they can lead other units. But even then Mephiston is primaris and can't seem to lead that many units. It does seem annoying when in the main codex there is almost a captain, lt, chaplain, librarian, plus special (judicar, champion etc.) that fits with almost every unit. It does seem at the moment it's almost better to just run as 'red' ultramarines pretty much as you get way more flexibility and combinations to field.

why did they have to take wings off of Mephsiton? they could have rolled it into his data sheet and he could have lead jump infantry like all the other blood angles characters why? and with toughness for everything else going up hes still only T5?
With all HQ’s that are Leaders now, remember that their unit can shield them. Their toughness and wounds being worse should not be a huge problem, compared to the absolute buff of having a lot of guys around
Mephi should be lone operative and got boosted stats. They just don’t know the lore. Lib dread is better caster than mephi, who is the strongest loyalist psyker.
@@Jadfisk He leads crappy units though, like Auspex says in the video why can't he lead Bladeguard vets? He is a primaris model who is mainly melee focused but can't be attached to a primaris melee unit?. Also as the other guy says he is not really a leader, he is a solo badass. Lore wise IIRC physically he is one of the toughest Space Marines full stop (iirc he is huge as well even taller than primaris marines) with incredible will and power, probably in the top 5 psykers in the whole galaxy, I mean the dude can stop time ffs.
It looks like they forgot the smoke keyword on the furioso dreadnaught
So basically BA are still use Firstborn or GTFO?
As the emperor intended
This is the way
We need new primaries the stuff is getting old
GW has been trying to sell BA players primaris for years now. First Mephiston, then Primaris DC, and the Assault Intercessors last edition.
BA players looking at their decade old DC and Sanguinary Guard models: "No, I don't think I will."
@@bloodbane93 Well that's just it: they do an almost complete range refresh but skip the units that are most essentially BA. Frankly I'm surprised they made Dante primaris since they seem absolutely unwilling to do any jump pack models.
Oh for pity’s sake! I have spent time and money converting a squad of Sanguinary Guard to all have power fists and inferno pistols and now I can’t field them?
Sorry for your loss but maybe try magnet's so you can swap them out. You know what GW is like they do this all the time with new editions 😮
Black Templars plz)
Sorry I’m new to 40K so I apologise if this is a dumb question. But is there any reason why I couldn’t paint all the miniatures from leviathan as a non-compliant chapter? I didn’t think stuff like Space Wolves could have Sternguard vets before??
That's totally fine
18:55 it better be the opposite. Thunder hammers only being s8 AND going down one damage kinda made them no longer good at the one thing we brought them for, which was throwing thing lime a missile at the highest toughness thing on the other side of the table, deleting it, and then dying. Thunder hammers have kind of lost their roles in the game in 10th in general since there are so many better anti elite and infantry options and they can't go toe to toe with high toughness things anymore. If they cost more than a fist there is no reason I would ever take one.
Which melee weapon would you suggest instead? I’m building my BA army slowly and was considering a few squads of jump DC.
Genuinely wondering what's gonna happen with the Grey Knights. Not including them here makes me wonder if we'll be some of the last releases again lol.
Pls skip space wolves 😭
Nothing in any of these indexes have the potential to be as powerful as the hellfire rounds strat.
2 Killteams with 3 assault cannon terminators each is a shit-ton of mortal wounds
Slap on Oath of moment vs monster keyword
Attach a Captain with rites of battle to use it on 4 (3?) units.
That will last around a month until gw realised they broke it. Then they will fix it and just break something else. Rule book will be relevant for a month tops. Like every other edition 😂😂😂
Deathwatch are broken btw. Xd
@@BloodyArchangeluswell they was really bad in the 9ed
Anyone know what happened to Lieutenant Tolmeron?
They absolutely forgot he existed 😂
@@Morgan_Frost haha. Guess he’s a regular lieutenant now then XD
Man I wish White Scars had an index. Or anything really.
When are we getting the point costs? Hard to say whats buffed and nerfed if we dont know points
Friday
Amazing work!
What about “blood angel chaplain with jump pack”
Does anyone know if you can still have death company captains/ lieutenants?
THIS MF DONT MISS
They BA look pretty interesting
I'm getting a bad feeling about 10th edition. Will the codex books be better? Don't like the way this is going.
When should we be seeing heretic astartes?
Today
Can't wait for my Space Vikings 😁
Wonder how many are going all dreadnought armies?
I honestly might make this a list lmao all dreadnoughts and maybe a few SG or jump DC
@auspextactics can a Sang Priest actually join the Sang Guard?

Grav weapons seem overpowered like all the other armies have anti vehicle 4+ but they get 2+ so much for the vehicles being tougher lol what was the point this edition actually seems more lethal but in a more boring way. And it seems like there are just as many rerolls except now they don’t even require a character. And what is the point of the payment or psychic keyword it just seems to be a downside or am I missing something. As a newer player this seems just as unwieldy as before st least with how they organized the indexes. Does every unit need an ability? There are just as many instances of bypassing wound rolls or inflicting mortal wounds so I just don’t know what the point was it seems like regression for nostalgias sake but also simplified to a degree that seems boring. Hope it’s good once we get a more complete picture.
He’s not a man…he’s a machine.
Great video as always!
Can someone remind me please if new edition allows for more than +/-1 for e.g. to wound rolls or charge rolls?
