      As a country we dont invest in our infrastructure. Our bridges are falling apart, sewage systems across the country are also starting to fail because they've not been updated or improved nearly enough, on top of this. And no one in the government even has a plan on how to update this stuff. By the time they try to, we probably won't be able to afford it. Its barely affordable now...

    • @marcilk7534
      @marcilk7534 4 года назад

      aljanat5 Smartphones give us access to a world of information. I use it almost entirely for internet use. I’m able to pull up scientific studies, expert interviews, documentary videos, statistics, government websites, and just about anything I need to know. The list of items you said to read about, my smartphone is the exact place I’d go to find the information. For example, here’s a list of literacy rates by country. worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/literacy-rate-by-country#:~:text=Literacy%20Rate%20By%20Country%202020%20%20%20,%20%202%2C722%2C289%20%2070%20more%20rows%20
      This goes into a detailed analysis of the US GDP, both current and historically. www.bea.gov/data/gdp/gross-domestic-product
      This discusses global water, sanitation, and hygiene with links and references. www.bea.gov/data/gdp/gross-domestic-product
      You get the idea. I found all these in seconds on my smartphone while typing this message.

    • @marcilk7534
      @marcilk7534 4 года назад

      aljanat5 Also, I think you should give those under 40 more credit. I’m 47 and grew up referencing physical books, but my son whose 25 had a public education with detailed instruction how to research on the Internet and determine the credibility of the information. Most of what I know, I learned from him and his generation. The amount of information he’s been able to learn online is unimaginable to me. I do think you meant social media rather than smartphone. If not, I encourage you to explore your phone more and all the wonderful things it has to offer. Much more free than sitting at a desktop or laptop computer.

      The first family appears to need electricity to power a pump instead of a hand pump they chose to own or install on their well and then install plumbing, or be subjected to being kicked off their property and sent to a city to leave mandatorily and most likely lose their property to someone with an agenda to take everyone’s property and force them onto govt supply public water. But then they’ll probably end up in a city with public supply govt water like the second family who claims they have running water but it’s not fit to use. So basically this whole report is flawed and in the interest of these non-profits and govts who would benefit off of it all. Why doesn’t the non-profit water org go to the first families property and install them a pump and plumbing and do their duty or quit colluding with the media and govts to use more of the public’s funds who they claim can’t afford it to solve their water problems they don’t offer much of a solution without needing what they don’t have to solve what they need. What a joke...

      @@ericjensen3662 In what way is it ethical and right to steal water from a farmer who paid for the water and has a legitimate need for it (ex: to enable you to put food on your table). How is this different from secretly plugging into your neighbor's power distribution panel and stealing electricity to power up your house, at your neighbor's expense? A normal person pays a monthly bill for access to public water, or they pay for the installation of a water tank in their yard and then pay periodically to haul water to refill the tank, or, they pay to install a well and then pay for the electricity to run the well pump. This isn't to say that there aren't problems with the current system, particularly with respect to equitable and fair rights to surface water and ground water resources, but secretly stealing water from someone who paid for it, isn't the right answer.

They did NOTHING about this water issue in all of that time so what makes you think that putting another blue establishment person in the White House will be any different? In fact, over the past 24 to 28 years drug addiction has increase, homelessness has increased, prescription drug abuse has increased, mass shootings has increased, suicides have increased, education has dumbed down everyone, housing rates and rental properties have skyrocketed. The blues are making sure that everyone is SO poor that you must need them to survive, thus taking over your whole life. Educate yourself, please.

      Farmers need water for their crops. If you like eating food, you can thank the farmers that grew it.

      @@tamalyncervin2117 The largest crop grown in the USA is lawn grass, primarily watered with high quality drinking water. The society has a problem

      Actually if you want rich ppl to blame, look at all the golf resorts in states that are literally desert landscapes. Also all the indoor and outdoor pools. As a California native I understand California politics and water is an essential resource for agriculture. Would you rather have a famine and food shortages all across America next year because of the drought we've been living in for the past two decades here?

      Tamalyn Cervin my point was, no “man” should “own” something that is freely produced by our mother earth... I wasn’t even opening the can of worms of farmers... with all due respect.

      Thanks for explaining, but when agriculture meets mass production and supply and demand chains can't keep up, OCD lawyers and the ACLU will always take advantage of that.

    I have very little in life, just enough money for my basic needs but no luxuries like cable tv or going out to dinner (haven’t gone out to dinner in about five years, I just realized). But....I have enough to donate to this cause. That the Native Americans are reduced to living in stark poverty without the basic fundamentals required to heat or cool their homes the way the rest of the US do. How would lawmakers in this country handle living like this? Isn’t it bad enough that the Europeans trapped and slaughtered them here in their own land? Is further decimation called for? I have only watched the first few moments of this video so far, it is compelling me to act to help my brothers and sisters from other tribes have a better life. I’m an old woman who’s almost seventy and it makes my heart ache to see how these folks must live. Praying for safe water for everyone. Make the wealthy go without for a day to see a glimpse of what it’d be like. 😶

    Anyone who's too poor to afford the water bill knows how this feels
    But nothing is gonna be done about it until it affects the rich
