That's it. I've reached that point of my life now where I spend my time watching old men talking about antique soaps that they like. I know it's a cliche now;but what am I doing with my life?
in america (it might be in other countries but im too lazy to look it up) we have a soap called 'ivory soap' and it flaots because of several small air pockets in the soap.
Suhkma Dheek speaking from a monetary point of view we as a whole assign more value to the property in america than we assign to a bar of floating soap.
“Hello, ladies, look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped using ladies scented soap and switched to Imperial leather soap, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a lake in Sweeden (with a floating soap)with the man your man could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s papaya soap leaves. Look again, the soap is now a bar of soap with $50 inside it. Anything is possible when your man smells like Imperial Leather and not a lady. I’m on RUclips.”

This is hilarious because I made a satire "Hotel Soap Review" video filmed in a sewer in the pitch dark, and one of the hotel soaps I showed was a golf ball soap just like that one (I was on a work trip in Istanbul and stayed in 6 different luxury hotels while there, collecting all the soaps)
The neatest soap I ever got was Macedonia soap. I picked some up during a visit to Spain. It is a little translucent but with chunks of non translucent soap inside it. Turns the bath water white also. Not sure why but it always seemed to relax me when I took a bath with it.
Lovely video, truly extraordinary the rare soap you collect. Shame I didn´t come across it 6 years ago on it´s release date. You see I am myself a proud Swedish bathe and soap enjoyer. And that soap you used is quite common in Sweden. However, it is most common in the brackish (salty) water of the Baltic sea. Its literal translation as said on the package is "Saltwater soap" and it is designed to work well in salt water. Beyond that, great video. Cheers!
They used to sell a soap, that was the figure of a woman. As you wasked, her clothing came off. The more you washed, the more that came off. Eventually you just had bones. That was back in the sixties, and earily seventies.
Ivory brand soap is also buoyant. This is because the stirring process used in its manufacture incorporates air bubbles into it. (Floating soap is the perfect thing to take sailing, btw. If your craft sinks, you can easily wash yourself ashore.)
The Swedish soap actually says "SALTSJÖTVÅL" which means "salt lake soap" so i wouldnt be so sure about it just working in freshwater. Love the videos, man!
it's either an unfunny joke, or he means a floating SOAP duck. Or he actually doesn't know. I don't think he gets out much... kidding. but only slightly :/
Ivory soap is what I grew up using and I found out here recently the makers of that soap put a lot of air in it to make it float. If you put it in the microwave it will swell up and you will see the air pockets. Very strange looking but satisfying to watch while it is in the microwave and see the end result!
Even though you put this video out several years ago, I just came across it today. The furry German bath soaps aren't a new idea. In fact, if you look up fuzzy wuzzy bath soap, it was available in the US in the early 1960s. I remember my mom buying it for me and me waiting for 3 days for it to grow enough hair, so I could use it. Wow, I haven't thought about that in over 40 years. Thanks for the memories.
I'm not even into magic or anything like that, but despite this I somehow take a great pleasure in binge watching these videos. Maybe that's the magical spell he casts on us.
Well, the floating part was a happy accident to be fair :P They whipped the soap to be milder on the skin, and it turned out to trap enough air to make it float. Microwave it and it grows from the expanding trapped air.

actually, on the swedish soap package it says "saltsjötvål" wich means salt lake/ocean soap. So it probably also float in slatwater
Isak den vise Saltwater has a higher density than freshwater, so anything that floats in freshwater will float even better in saltwater.
Isak den vise it also says that I floats on fresh and salt water in the description on the box
It also works to wash with in salty water. Not all soap does.
