Tim being able to do the coaster trick after so many attempts made me smile, no editing done it's a one take that shows the skill required for it and the others shown
What I liked about Tim's perseverance is that he could have easily edited his failures out but deliberately choose not to...❤️ Thanks for showing us that Success doesn't come cheap or easy and that's the most beautiful part about it. Kudos sir, huge respect.

Best ending ever! If if anyone is lucky enough to have a long life they too fully understand the frustrations of your body not wanting to do exactly what you want to do. ❤ but with a few more tries you did it anyway! I’m 54 so I’m feeling it coming in big time.

Simply love the content on this channel. The videos are lighthearted and good fun and Tim is very charming. I first found this channel when it had adverts on RUclips, maybe ten years ago(?), and hope to continue another ten. Thank you, Tim!
Everyone gets old man you'll discover your body slowing down eventually and it's just delusion to pretend it doesn't happen. I bet the zoomers of today won't have the patience to keep trying when they get to his age. They'll stop after 3 failures.
Hi Tim. Love your videos. The coaster trick….. I have perfected it. It’s all about moving forward rather than up, with your hand already open in a “C” shape. Works every time. If it’s unclear, I can send you a video.👍
Doing the coaster trick at the end of a 5+ minute take was a bold move! I love that you're never afraid to show an accurate depiction of executing a trick. Besides, it's still probably faster than we're going to get it done at a party!
just found the channel through this video, but watching you try at the end means the world. i'm not young, but i'm not old, and seeing someone work their way through something i think is far more helpful than all the instruction that can be given. thank you. subscribed.
Few weeks ago while having a beer after work with some of my colleagues I stumbled on that can trick by accident. After finding the sweet spot I left my near empty can balancing on its edge in plain view. My colleague freaked out. Priceless!
Yo, not gonna lie- after a long day of work with dreary weather, a cup of tea and one of Mr. Tim's toy videos makes things better. And I'm American, normally I throw tea in the harbor.
after 30 seconds of the coaster trick, I checked the video preview and had to laugh when the entire lst 2 and a half minutes was him trying to do the trick. Absolutely hilarious, thanks for keeping it all in lmao
Came up with a game years ago in college. it requires a lighter. can play alone or w/ someone (or in a circle with many) and all you gotta do is toss the lighter to a person, and they have to catch it. But there's a catch. (sorry for pun, just works out that way). The catch is: you can only use the back of your hand (including fingers) to both toss and catch. It's an easy game to learn, tough to master. everyone loves giving it a go and get very excited the first smooth catch they make.
This man reminds me so much of my Grandpa and Grandpa Jon; they were/are former woodshop teachers who growing up, showed my sister and me so many little toys and puzzles they learned how to create throughout the years. There is never a day I don't regret not going out into the shop with Grandpa, but at least for a little while longer, I can muddle about in Grandpa Jon's shop while he sits nearby listening to me talking through what I'm doing. TL;DR, take the time today to be with those you love, as they may leave you sooner than you think.
can't tell you how happy it made me to see the coaster grab on your list. here i was thinking, "only bar trick i know is snatching coasters...oh hey, i know that one"
The coaster trick I've been doing almost since I was old enough to drink (I'm 46 now). Someone showed me at a bar once and now my friends are tired of me doing it. lol I've never done it with a stack though, just one. I just grabbed the coaster on my table here and did it on the first try.
the second I saw Tim sitting like that I knew exactly what he was doing that's how long I've been watching this channel (the long time fans will understand)
Tim! I have a neat thing that is something like the shirt! A quick easy and rememberable way to tie your shoes, if you make the laces twist around eachother like you normally would tie your shoes. Instead of doing the bunny ears you can place each lace across your thumb and index finger, so the string is like the hypotenuse of your thumb and finger triangle, make sure you wrap each lace the opposite way around either hand, and then put your fingers together and you'll be able to grab the opposing string with your other hand and pull through. If you practice a bit (even just an hour or something) you can tie your shoes in less than a second! Sorry if this is awfully described, I learned it by watching a friend in highschool one day and never went back to the bunny ear way
i adore all your content, but that last showcase of trying to catch the coasters and then doing try after try after try with no editing or cuts was so good to see. we are taught "try, try again", but in in real life that might not yeild results. showing that trying and trying and trying and trying can lead to success is a message i think is very valuable.
It has been such a long while since stumbling on one of Tim’s videos. I am glad you are still doing good and uploading! Always wonderful to see your excellent and fascinating material 😊
The knack with the coasters is it's all one movement, you don't slap them up and try to catch them, you essentially push them so they roll around your fingertips fluidly. You still need a bit of gusto on it, especially with a big stack, but you just have to commit and trust it will land in your grip when you pinch your fingers. I used to do it with a full deck of cards all the time.
That T-shirt trick is SO COO! And useful. I'll never fold a T-shirt any other way from now on. And I love how he failed with the coasters and didn't cut the video and only show the successful try. That's honest. 👍
Little tip for coaster snatch and grab. Instead of reaching forward trying to catch, simply hit the coasters directly upwards and they should naturally flip into the palm. Love you Tim

Loved the video! For the coaster trick. If you ever try it don't start to close your hand when you hit the cards but start earlier so your hands are already closing when it hits. Less important but helpful if it's not working. Lay the coasters 1/3 off the table and then hit as close to the table as possible. This helps you hit in the right place. (I've worked many, many hours behind bars with nothing to do:-)

You can tell Tim's fun at parties just because he walks in with his shoes on the wrong feet.
