  • I invite you to watch my movie about restoration of yamaha yzf600r thundercat motorcycle. This sports bike was in such a bad condition that there was no point in repairing it, a broken connecting rod, a cracked head, a torn engine block, only the gearbox and clutch could be used again. The motorcycle was also after the accident, it also had a lot of rust and dirt. Each element had to be replaced or repaired. This video shows that you can make something beautiful from scrap metal. The movie is very twisted and does not show all the repairs because it would be too long and boring, I chose the most interesting scenes to make the movie interesting.
I hope you will like this movie, if so, please leave comments and likes. Subscribe to my channel and press the notification bell to stay updated.

My husband has the 97 Thundercat. He got a 2015 Honda CBR600 and I can tell you that I would pillion on the Thundercat any day vs the CBR.
My husband needs to balance the carbs etc on his baby but before he got the Honda, he rode the Thundercat almost a 1000km a week to work and back home.
Now he wants to repair his 'Cat and enjoy that growl, its a passion and this was his 1st Superbike. Great video in the restoration and performance.

Thank you , nice you got thandercat and you restore it as well, have you record your restoration process ? I wondering if you use new piston rings or used one , I use used rings for first time in my mechanic live and they work good as new with 12,5 bar compession test on cold engine , no oil burn , its big surprise for me and experiment as well.
BDW.. for my thundercat i pay around 140$ with broken engine in parts , and missing fiew parts , was sitting long time waithing for scraping or repair ;)

I have seen many videos on RUclips but this is a very good video of a motorcycle restoration. In my personal opinion I think that the inside of the piston engine, cylinders, etc. needed a little work, in the end the sound of the machine was not very good. The motorcycles are characterized by having a sound typical of Hondas; Yamahas and Suzuki especially the Suzuki has a sound that is like music and the Honda for its powerful roar.
Great job friend. All the best.

Hello! a lot of work has been done with the cat. I did the same thing at the moment, only I powder-painted the wheels and the pendulum. I noticed on your frame there are also marks from the contact of the plastic. everyone seems to have this problem. I had no luck with the brake discs. The wheel rim was heavily oxidized, the aluminum oxide had done its job. I had to restore 3 threads, but now I have the tool and experience)
Now I’m finishing assembling fairings in the Fiat style)) There remains the problem of a rotten exhaust system (can) (((
Over the 5 years of ownership, I drove 26,000 kilometers on it, and decided to give it a new life. it is very convenient. Greetings from Russia)
