Course management fab mate. I've never seen you hit so many fairways/greens in reg keep it up. You really though about this round. Competition brought the best out in you. Big confident booster. Major positives to take from this, keep it up James.
Cheers Lee appreciate it!
I love how your channel is just golf and not bullshit challenges and weird club games
Just golf mate!
Only a couple holes there keeping you from a cracking round James. Don't be too frustrated with the putter. Like you said, you're hitting the lips, so eventually they will start falling. Can't wait for the next one with Leon. Class guy, reminds me a little of Tony Finau.
Cheers from the Heartland mate!
Honesty greatly appreciated!!!
You'll get there.
Good luck!
I know this course very well, live just up the road in Weybridge. Can’t argue with the tactics for the first 6, when the fairways are firm it’s deceptively tough to stay out of trouble.
You played with alot of discipline James. Swing looks great. I like this format of filming each shot, it really shows that golf is tough even for the better player. Great effort👍
Love this format. Keep up the great work James.
I’ve played Silvermere twice but in winter and it’s a very hard course. I will get down in summer soon and play. The 17th and 18th are two of the best holes I’ve ever played. I love them.
Would love more course vlogs! Quality content James, keep at it and this channel will have 100k subscribers before the year ends.
Loads more coming over the next few weeks mate 👊
Chin up mate, it was good to see Silvermere, I played there a lot growing up, love 17 & 18, great finish!
Great round mate as you said a good day with the putter and that would've been a great round. Looking forward to the coming vids
So many positives to build on. Konig is right about building rounds. 6 pars to start with is a solid platform for any round. Looks like the type of course you need to have played a few times to know lines off the tee etc. Keep on working mate, you're 100% on the right track 👏
Keep it up Wiltshire! I'm sure it won't be long until you get your first win of the year. Come on James we are all behind you go ans smash it mate
Thanks Jamie
Solid golf James seen some old footage with crossfield the other day knew I’d seen your face somewhere like u said them lip outs went in completely different round 👍
Hey James, genuine advice here from a PGA pro from New Zealand. I understand you're trying to cover the golf ball harder and have less face rotation down at impact, and it looks like this is coming along nicely. In my honest opinion, take it or leave it, I feel like youre rotating marginally off the ball in your backswing, instead of rotating over the ball. Everyone needs advice right and it's interesting hearing differing people's perspectives. But that's mine. Overall though swings looking good and better results to come 👍
Hey yeah it's something I'm working on but trying to keep it fairly natural on the course. It's slowly working its way into my game
Swaying has been one of his bad tendencies and he said he is trying to fix it
Fair and helpful
Swing looking tight James, keep it going. Liked your course management in the first 6 holes. I’d have definitely tried to smash driver everywhere and probably NR’d after 9.
Great video James, keep going 👍
Hi James. Saw you there and played in the same comp as a disabled golfer and my playing partners said conditions were generally difficult and the greens were tricky with lots of borrow and quick. But well done on your performance.
Wow haven’t seen the swing in a minute. From first 30 sec.. movement much better. Great work
Great game James, A good practice round before Mondays Comp. Great camera work shaw there was washed out filter on it. Looking forward to same great contents next week.
Really liked the video James. You’re playing well. Would like to see more videos like this
Loads more coming!
all black outfit is fire mate looks great!
First 7 holes were really good. Your long game was great, no heroics, hitting fairways and greens. Unlucky with a few puts.
Looks like driver came out as soon as you had a couple of boogies and the wheels came off a bit then?
Do you need a handicap card to play jamega James? Cool vlog, keep it up mate, sure you'll get some solid scores in soon 👊⛳️
I'm supposed to be playing Silvermere on Wednesday. Not been there for years.
New camera James? This footage looks a lot cleaner and higher quality than previous vids.
@@logant6490 don't listen to this guy ^. Footage looks class. Keep up the good work.
Looks awful
Have you got cataracts?
Great video James hang in there. Keep trying Don F from USA
Hardest part of golf is not getting down on yourself when things start to unravel. You'll get there mate. Short games don't get built in a day😁. Good luck to you and Leon this week
Cheers as always Brian!
What did you think of Silvermere, mate? That’s the course I play when I’m back home! Living out here in Florida now, the courses are very different.
Love this type of content, any specific plans to improve your short game or just more time around the putting green?
Ever playing up north mate would be happy to caddy/help you out. Keep it up mate, good luck!
Good Golf there if the putter was hot you could have easily gone a few under but looking good overall
Cheers Tom I agree
Nice round mate on another day you're under par here- balance and tempo looks quality
If you were able to play the full 18 in practice before the tournament do you think you would have made different club selections ?
As always enjoyed the content and look forward to seeing you progress.
Would of changed on 2 tee's which cost me potential of 3 or 4
How about maybe a picture of the leader board at the end showing what place you came in?
Great video but its shot in log which is great when a lut is applied. Cheers
Love the videos
Good video as always. This guy needs a lesson it aperture and exposure as well though
I saw you on LAS Collins yesterday, did you make a video
I wasn't there that was Konig
You seem so upright and balanced swinging off the tee's.
I think I bend my knees too much when I look at your swing..
Honest to god mate you look so much more calm and composed, than previous tournaments, I think your putting was good you just get days when the little bugger doesn't want to go in the hole, also this may help but don't look at the scores just play till the end.
Yep agree. There was a calm rhythm to the swing, especially from the tee apart from some of the drivers but we all know driver is a sod of a club.
Putting did seem good but just unlucky really. Chipping as ever is the key to really good scores. Nobody hits 18 GIR and the wedges must rescue you when you don't. Get rid of the destructive number twice a round and get up and down twice more and a lucky putting day sees you score like a boss.
Thanks mate it's slowly coming along! Appreciate you following the progress
Don’t think I’ve seen a single ball flight yet
Looks like your stacking that back leg instead of swaying bac
You're close man. Alot of small mistakes but that's damn golf! Keep grinding and iron out the kinks in the short game. You're not far away from killing it out here!!!
Cheers mate it's getting there!
Looks like your knees colapsing during backswing, does not look very stable. Your downswing looks pretty nice. Great content, James !
What up with the Blow Out Glam filter 80's pop stars' use to kid themselves they're not 50?
What’s up with the camera colour saturation on this?
It needed more editing but just needed to get it up
Every shot...."unfortunately this one wasn't on camera" 😬
Good play. Bit of work on the short game and tone down the driver and you'll be up there.
Please don't blame chunked chips on bad lies! D:
thought flower was your camera man
This was In Surrey
First 9 holes:
GIR: 6/9
Putts: 17
That really tells me your putting needs some work!
It's all a matter of perspective. 17 putts over 9 holes is fine if there are few to no chips but a lot of 20+ foot putts. Better to keep a track of the total strokes it takes to get down from scoring range of
Putting is so much better, solid on the greens
on another day mate those putts drop or u find that lost ball and u take the win. look like ur playing good sensible golf. continue to be patient. it will come.
Thought about this round sorry.
Be careful mate I’ve seen this level of step up and pressure ruin people’s love for the game my advice to you is that sometimes we have to except our level and just enjoy it, but appreciate your honesty and transparency 👍
Good vlog James but the footage looks really washed out.
Yeah I didn't have time to sort it
Nicely played however you say you hit good putts when they are short, not even giving them a chance to go in m8 I know they were fast but still...
Read Scott Fawcett's putting statistics
James Wiltshire you got some online sources for that trying to find it but its a jungle, I found a vid by him stating that capture size was largest at lip in speed which makes sense but a put that is short has 0 chance
And the putts I am talking about were short ones
Not long lag putts
You remind me of mattdoesfitness
What in gods name has gotten on here with this color grade 😤
Love your channel though brother 🙏🏼
Honest opinion, you ain't got it as a pro golfer you don't have it in you and your feedback in your vid there are indications of self doubt. Once you read this and you can learn to digest this in your head maybe just maybe you may change your perception in the way you approach the game.
