Kill Em All's production for me has its rawness of speed metal and thrash metal. Its so garage-y and full of adrenaline rush. Cliff Burton contributed so much to early Metallica.
The production and mix on Kill 'Em All are kinda punk with how raw they are (like Anesthesia kinda sounds like a demo track), and that's why I love it! It's oldschool, but you can still hear how talented and hungry the band was.
The only reason I prefer MoP is because I prefer the weakest track on that (Leper Messiah) over the weakest track on this one (Escape) MoP 10/10 RTL 9.99/10 If Metallica wants to put on the greatest metal show of all time theyd perform Kill Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and close out with Blackened and One
James’s voice on this album sooo good. I don’t know who or what he’s channeling but it sounds amazing. The build up of call of Cthulhu is literally like Cthulhu is rising as they are playing.

Kill Em' All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice For All, The Black Album. That is such an unbelievably near impeccable album run and it really proves that Metallica is not the best, but without a doubt, the greatest Metal band that's existed. You just can't go wrong listening to any of those albums. Btw Brad. Listen to Megadeth, which is also another excelent Thrash Metal band and personally my favorite of the genre.

This was the first album I ever bought as an 8 year old. It’s on cassette and I still own it. I have this on original record, cassette, and cd. Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are complete masterpieces.
Fun fact: the whole album is in a tuning higher than e standard because they had to speed the album up artificially cause lars couldn't play fast enough. Also James never sounds this high pitched on any other release.
This is my second favorite Metallica after St. Anger, it's so lively and fun. And it's the best of their 80s output, although Justice is also VERY strong.

Fight Fire With Fire is my absolute favorite Metallica song. I'm not typically huge on them in all honesty but the first few albums absolutely hit.

I've never been a huge Metallica fan, but these streams have really changed my point of view, at least with their early discography. This is great!
