10:40 I think it was at Proko's channel where I've heard it, he made a good point that using other artists' work as reference bypasses the need to study the original work, break it down into shapes, shades, etc. Basically, many of the decisions you'd have to make before putting pencil to paper were already made for you by that artist.
Another few resources I use: I like saving pictures from Instagram that I like and would like to draw at some point, as well as profiles that tend to have good pictures in general (and definitely follow other artists for some inspiration and ideas). Also, web stores! Think like fashion, furniture stores, or anything else you like. If you don't want to draw humans (unless you choose fashion stores, in which case there are plenty of models), those are great for finding good quality pictures of common objects, entire rooms and so on. Unsplash also has a ton of high quality pictures and especially if you're into environments and landscapes.

First off, great to see a new video - always a pleasure to watch these! 🌹
About figure drawing classes - wow, it's quite an experience! Your points about what to look for in a class are crucial. I attended one previously and it was a mixed bag. While it was the best option available at the time, there were some issues. The lighting was problematic (had to keep shifting my chair to avoid glare), but that was manageable. The real challenge was the people.
Interestingly, the class seemed split into two groups: serious artists who kept to themselves, and socializers who seemed more interested in making friends than drawing (some even treating it like a dating scene, which felt odd). I found myself somewhere in the middle - wanting to learn from the experienced artists who were quite closed off, while the social group was more interested in post-class pub visits than discussing art.
Having recently moved, I'm hoping to find a new class with a better community. Despite the social dynamics, the experience had its benefits - the models were professional, and I learned to see poses in 3D since we could observe from different angles. That aspect was definitely worthwhile.
Btw, you new profile picture is great, give me Nostalghia (singer) vibes ~ 🦇

3d is a big part of my process now. For posing and expecially for perspective. I use a combination of Daz3d for posing and Blender for composing the scene, setting up lighting, and getting the perspective. A lot of times it's just a bunch of blocks/cylinders/spheres set up where elements of the scene will be that are the right size and rough shape.

Just discovered you. You have a wonderful draughtsmanlike, but expressive storybook style, you remind me of Russ Nicholson and Chris Riddell, but with a bit of Marc Silvestri's glow. Are you into Mervyn Peake or Aubrey Beardsley?

Good vid! 🙂 A question about Pintrest: have you found that AI images are getting in the way when you're looking for reference?
For 3d tools, I like Pose Tool 3d for full figures because it has lots of preset poses and different body types as well as different "skins" like muscle maps and a skeleton. I also really like Handy for hands and basic heads. It even has planar heads and a skull. I think some animal skills are available, too. I've no idea what they cost, now, as I've been using them a long time. It's also worth noting that as useful as these apps are, drawing from life is really important, too. (So thanks for reminding me about Line of Action.)
