When their sons were just toddlers, Jenner told Linda a secret. "He told me: 'I identify as a woman. I am a woman trapped in a man's body.'" The couple tried therapy but ultimately decided to divorce in 1986. Jenner married Kris Kardashian. But Thompson said she did not believe it was right to tell the Kardashian matriarch about Jenner's confession. #InsideEdition

If Kris did know, which I believe could be possible, why lie and deny it? Maybe she was humiliated as a wife when Bruce's "so called secret" came out. I imagine that there is a strong feeling of failure, or rejection, or both. If my husband came out, I would help him with his transition myself. No doctors needed.
And revenge is best served cold. Kris was not a good step mommy.

jeannaleemarie, basically that it was her fault Jenner was such a deadbeat dad. That her making things difficult was the reason they didn't see eachother more etc. Brandon said his mother never ever said a cross word to them against Jenner and only ever encouraged a good relationship between them. It wasnt just what was said but how. It was typical Caitlyn, both before and after transition, just no responsibility taken at all. Jenner abandoned both sets of pre-Kardashian kids.

jeannaleemarie, I don't like them all that much or their shows or whatever but their mom should be very proud. They're a credit to her; seem to be genuinely kind and caring and forgiving. Could be an act for the cameras by they seemed decent and good hearted. It's their fathers loss not having been more involved in their lives.

I remember at the time thinking it was odd that Bruce and Linda went from this affectionate couple who seemed so in love to suddenly getting quiet and almost disappearing. I was so surprised to hear they were divorced but of course no one knew at the time why. She handled the whole situation gracefully.

I don’t have a problem with it, but I don’t care what anyone says, it was wrong to start three different families. It was selfish to bring all these children into the world as a father, then all of a sudden flip the switch and tell them he’s a woman, something that he knew all along, and would reek havoc in the lives of his children, and his ex wives.

EXACTLY! I feel the EXACT same way! Caitlyn wanted everything and everyone and it wasn't fair to Kris. Linda didn't know at the start of their marriage, but she could have spared another woman the pain that she felt.

Linda is such a beautifully articulate, poignant and graceful woman. As a die hard Elvis fan, I enjoyed every minute of her audiobook, "A Little Thing Called Life". I cannot recommend it enough, she is so enjoyable to listen to.

Excellent point, however you have to put it the context of the time. Back then, being Gay wasn't all the rage it is now. Bruce had not come out publicly and Linda did not write a book or conduct interviews regarding his sexuality secret until then. Rightly or wrongly, she showed true class and left it up to Bruce to tell his own story. No doubt she talked with Bruce to convince him to tell the truth to his new wife.

Rosy Latini There's a difference though. When she came out publicly to talk about Bruce's "secrets", they weren't secrets anymore. Everybody was already aware of what happened. Bruce himself had came out with his truth. Furthermore, I don't think it was Linda's place to say anything to Kris. Bruce is a grown man and it was HIS responsibility to talk about this with his new wife not Linda's.

Honestly, it's NOT Linda's job to tell his next wife anything. It was Bruce's job to be HONEST with people before he choose to marry them. I'm for being yourself but I'm not for dragging down other people because you can't own your skin. You don't marry someone out of a lie. Divorce is traumatic and he was really messed up. If you KNOW you just messed up your marriage with Linda then why would you turn around and do the same thing to Kris? Knowing you still wanted to be a woman? Why do that to people. That's not courageous. That's lying, living a double life at your partners expense, and being selfish because you don't want to be alone. That's mean.

When she found out that Bruce was serious with Kris she should have told him that he should tell Kris his secret and if he wasn't going to do it, she would. How can you let someone walk into that situation blind? But back in those days I don't know that anyone would truly understand what that meant given how hyper masculine Bruce was and that he had already fathered four kids.
No matter how serious Kris and Bruce were, she was right not to break a confidence. It was Bruce's job to share with Kris this sensitive information which had nothing to do with Linda, since she and Bruce were no longer involved. Furthermore, I believe Bruce 100% when he says he told Kris. She was likely in denial, wanted to keep up appearances and may have even blackmailed Jenner. I have mad respect for the former Linda Jenner.
He most likely told her. If he had already told one wife, why keep it a secret from the next. Maybe she just thought he would wear a dress once a year in the comfort of his own home and she could live with that.
He did tell Kris. She dealt with it how she deals with everything with control.
This was Bruce's fault not Linda's. It was his responsibility to be upfront with his new partner not Linda. Linda was no longer involved with him and his relationship with Kris was not her business.

I wondered the same thing. But I remember years ago when I actually kept up with the Kardashians, when Robert died, Bruce was his best friend and he made him promise that he would take care of his family and step in as their father figure. Not sure if he really expected him to take it literally and marry his wife and have more kids with her. But it's all crazy to me! Bruce/Caitlyn could have been living her best life many years ago. I guess she thought she wouldn't be accepted in society and had to wait for the right time...

Some reporters found a suitcase of Bruce's way back in the early 80s. It was full of makeup and women's clothes. It came out then right away disappeared.
He managed to stop them somehow so they crashed the story but it was pretty obvious, he was starting to look more feminine. Grew out his hair. I think Kris knew but maybe she didn't believe it ?!!
