I can listen to Vivaldi all day long!!!!!
Me too😁
I actually listen to Vivaldi all day long. It lowers my blood pressure.
Cannot describe with words the genius of composer and interpreters, a short trip to heaven.
Vivaldi lives in our mind, in our hearts forever.
Vivaldi will be listening to this wonderful performance with a big smile on his face in Heaven
Incredibly beautiful music and skilled performers .
I'm legit listening to this again and again. Can't get enough. Bravo, musicians!!
Descubriendo a Vivaldi.
First heard this in Florence at the Medici Palace, never forgotten
Wonderful ! Antonio, in heaven now, must be very pleased ! He will go to his neighbor J.S. Bach and ask him : 'did you hear that? It is mine but it could have been yours too !'
Poesía para los oídos. Maravilloso!!!
Pure joy! Gloriously played by all of you. Stellar! Vivaldi is singing in the heavens now....
Magistral, felicitaciones!
Perfecto 👌
! ESTO ES ARTE !
El padre rojo es inmortal
Los integrantes del ensamble EXCELENTES 👏👏👏👏
Joyful and playful in the first movement, most sweet and soothing in the second, exciting in the third. I absolutely love this. Congrats on the rendition and many thanks for such a lovely concert.
❤❤❤❤i love this 2 mandolines concerto. Congratulations to all the ensemble.
Excelente interpretación grandes maestros 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I agree completely!
Très belle interprétation. Merveillleux dialogue de cet instrument sublime. Bravo et merci à ces artistes
Paradisiaque ! Quel enchantement !
Listening Guide adapted from Listen, Ninth Edition, by Joseph Kerman, page 115
First Movement (Allegro)
The mandolins trade flashy melodies back and forth and often join together, especially at the approach of cadences. The opening ritornello (refrain) in this lively movement consists of several contrasting melodies, some of which return in later ritornellos. The first melody is a tuneful pair of closely related phrases (a and a'). Next comes a quick melodic phrase that is duplicated at a higher pitch, making a sequence (b). With (c) the music reaches a satisfying cadence, and it sounds as if the ritornello is finished -- but Vivaldi has a surprise. A new, undulating melody appears in the minor mode, played pianissimo (d): it is repeated, now in the major mode and forte (d'), to close the ritornello with a solid cadence.
The melodies of the mandolins in the solo section are not taken from the ritornello melodies, but show off the instrument's capacities to play quick scales, repeated notes, and arpeggios. The second solo section also features an episode of repeated trills --difficult to play well on the plucked-string instrument.
The accompaniment for the solo sections varies, but always reduces the orchestral presence. In solos 1 and 3, only the violins and violas play, with no basso continuo. In solo 2, the upper strings drop out and the basso continuo (cello) takes over.

Second Movement (Andante)
There is no ritornello form or basso continuo here, lending a hushed quality to the movement. The soloists are featured from start to finish, accompanied by the violins and violas, quietly playing together a single line. They alternate phrases or join together with melodies that are mostly in the minor mode, dividing the slow main beat into triplets, and playing pizzicato -- plucking the strings. The movement falls into two sections.

Third Movement (Allegro)
This fast, triple-meter movement includes four ritornellos alternating with three solo sections. The last ritornello is a full reprise of the opening one, while the two ritornellos in between are partial versions of it. Ritornello 3 dwells on the minor mode at its beginning as does solo 3, which follows it, heightening the harmonic variety of the movement. Solo 2 and the end of solo 3 are especially demanding, featuring very quick triplets.

Thanks a lot.
Very informative, thank you.
Superb soloists and ensemble! Bravo!
An especially beautiful composition, well performed with the orchestral backing.
This winter 2023,I plan to listen to most of Vivaldi concertos.
HA Y ESCUCHEN QUE BELLEZA DE MELODIAS
Second movement was very nice :). Love it
Lovely piece of music!
Just so beautiful
This is gorgeous thank you so much. Well done!
Bravo!
The interplay between the voices in the second movement, and the plucked accompaniment - absolutely heavenly. You can see how much the player are enjoying themselves (including the bass player, who can have a rest and listen to them!)
W O N D E R F U L❤
Two very different mandolin playing styles. It's very interesting to hear and see it.
So beautiful performance🍃love it
Good sound balance, the mandolins hold their own here. THE best video if one wants to watch the dazzling fingering from minute 9, for that alone the views should be in the 2-500,000 range. :-)
Beautiful performance.thank you
how can this great piece be interrupted with commercial?
Very fine
Spettacolare!! Grazie!
The best, most elegant, most profesional, beautiful, version, sound, speed of this marvel of this Vivaldi concerto. Thank you!!! And a big Bravo to you all!! For this gift!!
Absolutely! It's often played at a faster tempo. This is the right tempo, well to my ears.
Bravo! Antonio Vivaldi et ses interprètes 👍❤️
WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE
Perfect!
How wonderful.
Magnífica ejecución!! Bravo!!
Fantastico!!!
Traumhaft schön!
Oh My goodness!!genius!!!
Too bad that Vivaldi is Venetian and Neapolitan has nothing at all
Buuuuuu
Second movement is like a starry and quiet night.
bravissimo
Bellissimo
Vivaldi mandolin concertos are my very happy place.
MERAVIGLIOSI.
VIVALDI. Enough said.
Ottimo, assai interessante!
Indeed...it is so
Finally the one with baroque tuning.. 👏
Parfait et merci Toulon
The first movement was in Baby Newton
Or the Gegenmodell of the nazi behavior, we never forgot who Germans were been also if now they act as the perfect teachers ;)
ludicrous having this masterpiece interrupted by puerile adverts-or ANY adverts.
Just the sight of that theorbo almost steals the show. Good thing that lady mandolinist is so good lookin'.
Bello como siempre Vivaldi
What is the tall instrument near the piano? Never seen one before.
NO SE PERO ES DE 1.650 Y CREO QUE VIVALDI ES EL MEJOR AMO A MOZART A BETOHEN A BAHC PERO LES JURO VIVALDI ES EL MEJOR
Absolutely brilliant. However, I wonder if the usual super-slow tempo of the second movement is what Il Prete Rosso wanted. What if the beat were the quarter notes and not the eighths? In the solo parts flowing triplets then, legatissimo. I believe it is notated in 4/4, so the bar would be the musical entity, not the half-bar. Something like quarter = 45 (instead of eighths = 56 here). Hopefully, somebody will give it a try sometime.
A droite? Oui, un théorbe.
Instruments by Arik Kerman.
RV 532.
😢
Amazing! Q: What is the rather large stringed instrument by the piano called?
the big lute-like instrument is a theorbo
I nearly didn’t notice it. Thought it was a harpsichord
@@jlategan8327 thanks!👍🏽
Strange to see some archaic instruments mixed with more modern examples.
