  • I asked Koreans several questions about owning and driving a car in Korea, such as if they think it’s necessary to have a car, and when they most often use their car.
This series is for beginners to practice listening through easy-to-understand and natural conversation. The questions are beginner or intermediate level, and relatively simple compared to full conversations. There is minimal editing (just edited to remove long pauses, etc.), and you can hear their complete answers.

These are good! I kind of wish English subtitles were on youtube rather than in the video so I could turn them off and only see Korean subtitles

I agree! It would also be good to have the Korean (non-autogenerated) subtitles in youtube rather than embedded in the video as well. I would love to import these conversations into my reader, but autogenerated subtitles tend to have too many errors.

Yay! I look forward to these, I’m still a rank beginner but understood a bit of it without subtitles from the repetition of the questions and some keywords here and there, hope to improve !!

Really enjoying this series as a learning tool! Do you prompt the interviewees to speak in simpler terms since the audience is Korean learners? Do they ever worry that you as a foreigner might not understand certain terms they use? For example, 소모품 seems like a very specific term, but she did not seem to think you wouldn't know it.

I don't tell them any way to speak. I just listen to them and let them answer freely and without interruptions. But they would've all heard me speak Korean and realized my Korean level before agreeing to be in this video.
