      Took it out today The Perception Outlaw rigged up with the Xi3 is amazing the control and how it stays on target. Todays test went above and beyond my expectations! Thanks again man. I finally have a fishing vessel now to name her! 😂

      Thank you, and no I’ve never flipped it. It’s never good fully submerging the trolling motor, if it happens get it out soon as possible.

      Thank you. When I made the video no it wasn’t it was the regular 12v 48” shaft 45lb thrust. I bought the GPS add on and installed it so it is now.

    Love the videos ! If you had to chose from the ascend vs the perception outlaw. Which one would you choose.

      Thank you. That’s a tough decision and would be determined on what body of water I was fishing. The perception is best for rivers, creeks, smaller bodies of water. Don’t get me wrong it’s great for lakes also. The ascend is great for lakes and bigger bodies of water it has a ton more room and a lot more weight capacity. The ascend is far more easy to do modifications to, but as you’ve seen the perception can be done. I hope this helps I love both kayaks they’re excellent no matter which you choose.

    What transducer do you have? I’m looking at the same garmin but wasn’t sure if the gt56 transducer would fit in that mounting spot. I also worried about it getting beat up on rocks or the back when shoring

      I use the gt54, but the gt56 is the same dimensions I believe. And as for getting beat up mine doesn’t it actually works perfectly there.

    Hey there, just got a outlaw today and was wonder if theres any way youd reccomend to mount a minn kota c2 55 thrust electric motor? Id greatly appreciate any help, thank you

      Build it somewhat similar to how I built this mount. Except u can put a hatch in the rear like the one I added to my outlaw, and use 1-1/2” stainless steel bolts.

    How are you connecting your 8ga marine wire to your battery? I see the plug but I didn’t know what you used on the physical battery and how it connected to the big wire

      I crimp these 8 gauge battery terminals on the end of the wire.

    How did you keep your trolling motor from messing with your transducer while you was on the move. I mounted mine in the same spot as your but it causes interference when the trolling motor is turned on.

      I’ve never had a issue I also don’t run the trolling motor deep it’s just below the water so I’m not sure if that’s why.

      In most states yes you have to register your kayak once you add a trolling motor. Just check your state laws.
