Once it flows through you, it turns it's wielder insane and invades the mind like a parasite. The more blood that is spilt on the blade, the more power that it gets. I can understand if Soul Edge actually said that after Setsuka left the blade alone, it's because it wants a host.
I was happy the she redeemed herself with this. Satisfying ending. Interesting note: that girl with the knife, she can be made in create a soul mode. She's made completely of CAS parts. Intersting ^_^

I'm hoping Namco will be more definitive regarding her ambiguous origins and explaining lines such as "Fear me, for I am a demon!" etc. That's really the only possibility they could go with her story-wise in SC IV IMO. I do hope she has SOMETHING to do with one of the swords too; as a few people have mentioned here most characters are more extraneous than not regarding the main plot of the game, but Setsuka is easily the most extraneous, as her storyline is completely defined by Mitsurugi.
remember that there are 2 endings and the one that would connect that line with the story in SC 4 is the other ending when you dont press the buttons in time
fighting mitsurugi was one of the hardest battles i have ever fought...dude whi is he so fuking strong...i got beat 38 times...but i had no problem at the other battles
the main concern with setsuka is how are they gonna rervamp her story for sc4? now thats she's abandoned her revenge against mitsurugi, and this is to be the last soul calibur game, how will the developers attach her to soul edge/soul calibur? her story is prob. only thing that could keep her from sc4.

We just have to accept that all the characters in Soul Calibur are all psychotics. It makes the story much easier to follow. Well... some aren't psychotics, but are just slow in the head. Xianghua, for instance. Ever heard her talk? Clearly Ancient Ming did not have a working special education system.
Well, I thought that a long time ago because I recently got the game and hadn't really tried her out but now I like her alot. And she is by no means the hardest to master. The hardest to master is Yoshimitsu.

I wish in soul calibur 4 they had kept her geisha outfit with the dark hair like in this video. I liked the costume used in 4 (in 3 it was the alternate) but i like the geisha outfit way better
no i disagree. that line of her dialogue has a dead tone, much like her cold, emotionless vibe. she is focused on revenge and has become blunt and harsh, and a cold personality. thus her stoic line makes sense. it fits her loss of emotion

that 's okay I'm not offended at all^^ the reason why i say that is because gaming system are expensive to get. all i have is a Wii a friend bought me for my birthday a long time ago. and if they are every to release another one, I'm just saying that it should also be on the wii with guest charters, like they did for number 2. that be great cause then i could play it^^

I don't know what Setsuka's ethnicity is (doesn't matter to me, she's beautiful whatever it is) but I think the most rational possibilities would be Russian, Tatar or possibly Ainu (the aboriginal people of Japan). Though I'm not sure about the last one because Japanese people know what Ainus look like. I think those are the most possible ethnicities because those are ethnic groups geographically closest to Japan.

mitsurugi only took ten times with me but it took me 54 timesto beat Setsuka because she string combos that wouldn't let me move at all.
I love how Setsuka says that but in previous games when she goes blonde she says "I live only for revenge". 83 (Setsuka!~

I think Setsuka n Mitsurugi will make a better couple compare 2 Taki n Mitsurugi. Prefer this ending than the other one.
