I would be happy to help with advice or know how. Not fishing for likes or followers but if any of this interests you I'm here. Will try to post a video per week on free upgrades anyone can do.
The doorman oil cooler lines I put on my 6.0 on my 2500HD caused my motor to fail a month later so I had to rebuild. Spent like 1600 for about 180 HP making it a 402 stroker but it makes over 600 ft lb of torque naturally aspirated
@@Ralf1NATOR yeah I don't get why people would rebuild an engine stock. If I gotta tear it apart and buy new parts either way might as well buy better parts. I got a forged bottom end and a SS2 cam and ported my heads while I was at it. Now I hope the stock torque converter can survive long enough for me do my manual swap in the truck.
What Engine RPO do you have, did you need to change injectors? I know the 2006/7 4.8 are 25 Pound injectors. If you needed larger injectors, can the L59 flex fuel 1s be easily swapped to the LR4 fuel rails. I know there are adapters to go from multec 2 to ev6. Its for the Iron 5.7 im about to swap into my 07 to replace the water sumped 4.8... same cam as yours.
Lol im not sure how to answer some of this. This video is my 1st i believe. At the time it was stock injectors. Only mods were the cam,CAI,electric fans. I don't know much about the injector swapping. Still learning that myself. I just put in e85 1000 cc snake eaters into my factory rails for the fast intake. I have found out since making this video that my tuner at the time was a fraud. Hes out of business now. It waa tuned on straight manifolds,no accessory belt, cold air blowing into the intake on 100 octane. The truck definitely has 400 crank HP+ but the track tuning im working on clearly shows the WHP around 300. With proper tuning in this configuration the 320-340 WHP is achievable
@@Ralf1NATORgot ya, yeah the 6.0 have the same pound injectors is why i was thinking the stock units will work, but for you they seemed they did. This truck will only see a track with a car on a trailer lol
I am doing the same but with a 2014 gmc 2500 I just got the truck Norris came and LS6 springs to match it my motor is 6.0 with the 823 castings I would love to tune it myself so can you help me? When I get the HP tuner , I will hit you back up
@@sarsavage i would be happy to. I have several friends on here that are better than me and they're quick to help too. You should look i have several truck norris videos

Like your mods. The " cold air" is more likely reduced restriction vs dense air.
@@robinator503 i agree with that. Thanks for watching. Ive done more upgrades u can see on a newer video. Truck is a beast now

I love the refinement and simplicity of the older Chevys and even dome Fords. I'm gonna get a low mile 5.3 4x4! Thanks
@@robinator503 yeah ive been impressed with the 5.3. Was always a 351 ford or 350 chevy guy before. The little 5.3 are easy to make piwer with
