Checked out the organization site while you talked about it, looks and sounds like a pretty damn good course that a lot of people should be taking advantage of. I talk about this stuff all the time too, ain't just one or two scenarios/ situations that need to be ready for, many are overlooked. Good stuff!
Can regular civilians take this course? Also could you discuss some changes you're going to make with your plans/preps because of lessons learned at TUSC? Love the info and videos dude
The course is open enrollment to US citizens in good standing, its just a matter of getting a slot for the class. Changes I'll make to my preps/setups? Realistically working on bulking up preps and my water storage/purification. Making sure I have food variety, making sure I get power banks and solar panels to keep batteries charged.
@opfor8r I garuentee it. It's funny you mentioned how little you ate. Last time I was out for 4 days I added up all the food I ate from stepping off and it was just over 1200 calories. I wouldn't have imagined I woulda been able to keep going off so little
How long did it take them to respond to your emails? I've contacted them twice and haven't got an answer back. I want to sign up but I have questions first.
When overcoming a draw or deep ravine during land nav. Would you go around it to avoid getting stuck or injured? Or would you cross to avoid loosing your asmuth? Thanks in advance.
You can use the "box method" to plot a way around the obstacle as best as possible. When done right, it is only a moderate disruption to your overall travel plan. Conversely, if the terrain is unique enough, I may just plot a detour to a readily identifiable feature and re-plot a route from there using map, protractor, and compass.

Do they allow rifles that are not AR platform to be used therre? Or do they rent/lend out sim specific ARs?
No, it has to be ARs. They might have loaner rifles, I'm not sure.
