I feel intense discrimination against AK users here.
Good
You ever try being a roller delayed blowback user ?
@humbertoisabeles5590 my little brother competes at our local range with a PTR 63. And catches SO much shit for it from all the old timers.
@@reddituser420 lmao it's definitely not a common choice
Lol
Man sees new Spiritus Systems video, man clicks new Spititus Systems video. Man happy.
same same.
Man sees comment, man likes comment, man clicks like

Monkey brain sees monkey brain does
Man together stronger 💪🏻💪🏻🍻
So glad you made this video. Good stuff.
I'm gonna need Y'all to go so you can make a sick ass video of the course lol
By day 2 of TUSC everyone is carrying less than 1/2 the stuff they packed. It's still good to bring everything on the packing list, it lets you test your gear and realize that carrying a 50+# pack through Truth Island isn't sustainable for most folks.
very true... thats why it's important to train in your kit, get used to it and adjust it to your personal needs
This is probably the realest advice you will get.
Are these classes for civilians
@@actually_a_circleyes
@@actually_a_circlemy class was about 50/50 civilians/current or former military
The most reasonable and realistic list of gear you need to take to a survival/tactical training I've ever seen/heard. "That one you have is perfectly fine" - you don't hear that very often. Great way to teach and train people, let them use what they already have, like or can buy inexpensive. Congratulations Adam!
Yes sir!
There's also a lesson to people who wanna build a MAG or just a group of friends or neighbors to defend your property and constitutional rights. Wear something that allows everyone to differentiate friends from foes. You chose M81 top. I see why top only, attackers would most probably wear a full uniform or random clothes. Good thinking.
I attended tusc in June of 21 and the best advice really is to bring what you have. I had a lot of equipment that wasn't perfect going into the class. Throughout the class I learned what I liked and didn't like about what I had, and I got to look at what other students were using and got their feedback during the class. It really helped me prioritize and purchase the right tools when I got back home.
That’s one of the best things about training classes: you learn what works and what doesn’t.
That's exactly why it was the first thing he said.
Gaiters were helpful. The best thing I did before hand was pre sliced smoked sausages and made snack kits for each day that stayed in my chest rig. Small packs of almond butter and trail mix were life savers and kept the energy up. LMNT packs in my water made it much more pleasant to drink also. I found that most of the “stuff” I thought I needed never got used. We learned to use our skill sets and make do instead of relying on gadgets.
I wish i would have brought lightweight waterproof gators when i went through.
They would have helped keep my pants and socks dry from rain or dew. Just preference through.
My jerky cookbook (I didn’t write it, one i bought with my dehydrator off of amazon) has an entire section of mason jar dehydrated meals to make. Just a thought for your audience
I like the emphasis on hydration and filtration. This is often overlooked and it’s arguably the most critically important topic. Hydration is paramount.
Thanks for telling us about the Fjallraven Keb trousers. I've seen those pants in a few of your videos as well as a few other guntubers and thought they looked sick.
That is a hell of a microphone. Audio is amazing. Especially in that wind. WOW!
i find out that portioned honey is great - one you get at restaurant with tea those super small packs, grape sugar, nut bar in honey, chocholate, dryed meat, any nut butter, most of these have big amount of calories and does not take much space and are light and i find out that best are 0,5-1 L pet bottles ... u can have one in pocket, carry system, few in small bag few in large bag if you manage to destroy it - nothin happens and if do not need it just crunch it down to have small to none size, fishing line is great as well instead of paracord, smaller lighter, thermarest type mats are sub optimal watter tends to stuck inside those dents
honey kicks ass, and for reasons unknown, is massively underrated
Lived in Arkansas most of my life and had no idea DARC even existed there. Gonna have to take some leave time to knock out a few courses.
lot of great info here thanks Adam
Cheers for the updates cobber.!
Lots of good info here, definitely looking forward to going at some point.
Ooooh doggie I can’t wait to watch this while “working” today
literally listen to this and garand thumb all day at work. im a physical learner, but the auditory learning and information is always enjoyable and helps me retain what im doing later to practice
Can't wait for my turn!
Very informative video once again!
As a 41 year diabetic diagnosed in at the time was West Germany, I will be taking over the Lilly Production plant securing my future and establishing an economic trade system during the collapse. Need hostages may be a regrettable requirement.
Could the next video be a preview of the course ? What are the requirements to join it and cost ? Do you have to be American to join the course, can European join ?
Fantastic, sir
Great content thanks for the video !
Glad you like it!
great video
I’m so pumped for the September DM TUSC
I'll be there!
@@alwayspinnedout hell yeah! see you in september!
I'm hoping we get to see these long form videos twice a month atleast
This is the sickest intro
Love this
Can we get a daypack video? I feel like I struggle with what’s important. What should you plan to carry out of it besides water and a jacket? Is it better to have it roll up and stick inside the ruck or should it be rigid and attach to the ruck? Should it be low vis or camo?
They have a video on assault pack load outs, I'd give that a watch
Poncho. Makeshift tent/jacket/...
In addition to their assault pack video Garand Thumb has a couple daypack/assault pack videos with loadouts as well
Check out our Patrol Basics video that talks all about packs.
Corporals corner is a great channel too
this is the best youtube video ever
so much to learn
I really wish I would have known about this when I was recruiting in Arkansas
This is very good, does the original video still exist, having trouble finding it?
Protein should be secondary to carbohydrates. Fuel to keep going over recovery especially over a few day course.
Healthy fats from animals, nuts, olive oil are more than twice a calories by weight and don't crash you like sugar carbs. They also make you feel fuller.
Yes. The food you bring is very important. You have to have the RIGHT food.
disco32 also sells great PTT's to work with Peltors, etc...
Excellent rundown Adam. One, perhaps dumb, question. You said that everything you bring has to fit inside the ruck, does that include the daypack? Thanks and keep doing what you are doing.
Nate
Hi Nate,
I advise that the day pack also fits into your ruck sack.
@@adamholroyd8862 Thanks Adam
So for the weapon and food part what are our options if we are flying in to the states from out of country
Can you please list the source for the gear, makes it easy to find what I don't have
I was at the Sept ‘23 TUSC.
I took the Haley Strategic flatpack as a day pack. That was WAY too small.
Less clothing more snacks.
Awesome video, could someone explain the camo requirements. We’re in the woods with weapons, helmets, NV, thermal, and sustainment gear but no multicam?
I'm sure an instructor will chime in but it's probably for student ID. Secondarily, it may actually be what works best in the area(s).
Its given in the packing list, its for student ID
This is speculation on my part but I'm guessing for the scenario they want you in civilian clothes as you wouldn't be trapsing around the real world in cammo during a grid down/civil disturbance event. Makes you a bit of a target. I don't believe this is an end of the world scenario. The camo is for when you need to be "stealthy" like standing watch/security/ patrolling etc. Everyone in M81 is for team commonality so you can recognize your folks. Why M81? I'm guessing because it is easy to find and affordable. Again, this is all speculation on my part.
Arkansas is a based state. We wear based camo.
I’ve been waiting for this video. You will see me in class one day. Great work gents!
What if you have a 300blk weapon? Do you guys still have the simbolt assembly for it? I’m assuming yes because it’s still 556 casing but I gotta ask
Can anyone explain how that Hill Ppl gear kit bag it set up? Can’t tell if he’s running insert in the concealed pistol pouch or if he’s running it over top another chest rig. 6:55
What are the iron sights on your AR rifles in the video? Great video!
They are from Ranier Arms.
Dress code is: Clear and Present Danger; John Clark
Does my AR need a birdcage flashider for a BFA device for blanks?
No
Where to find price for class? I don’t see it on the website. Thanks in advance!
Should I bring narcan?
As soon as you spot the Ute, it's obvious who is carrying it :D
MUST be M81 had me waiting for the "just kidding"... M81 BDU tops are about to get real scarce! lol
Several RUclips influencers are suggesting M81 BDU as the uniform to distinguish civilian militia from government employees.
I'm curious to know about their camo philosophy. I bet it'd be super interesting...
It’s Arkansas homie, we are an M81 state. From mid April to early October it’s all green all the time.
@@sirrichard3686 😉😎🔥
It's for identification. Cadre, opfor, and students all wear different camos
Was that woolridge family provisions? I cant find the website.
EDIT: I found their IG but not much on there for purchasing packs of food.
Experimental. Dude is getting it off the ground.
Where can I find the family provision meals?
Aye 🤘🏻😎
SAR we always had tuna, peanut butter, beef sticks, and some sort of candy for that sugar
Can you use airsoft guns under special circumstances as long as they maintain that 30rd capacity for 10 mags?
Pre-Workout powder mix for caffeine
When is Spiritus going to design a rucksack?
I’m bringing a lever action 😮💨
Some practical advice! I watch these videos so I can ditch gear not to add more!
If you haven’t gone to tusc you need to get signed up asap. You don’t need more flat range rifle 101 classes. These 4 days will help you evolve into who you need to become to be an asset to your family and community. The crocs were legit my mvp piece of equipment for the class btw 😅
Price??? I got on their website and I couldn't find it!!! That is a huge factor when it comes to these classes along with travel cost!!!!
I actually really like making my own MREs
Just curious, why is M81 specifically necessary as opposed to other camouflage patterns?
I’m looking for this answer as well
IFF and they don’t want people to come completely camoed out because that’s too “militaristic”.
@SpiritusSystems: What watch is that?
Dumb question but anyone know if you can check or carry on Jetboil fuel on a flight?
Which lightweight tarp are you utilizing?
I haven’t taken TUSC (yet🤞🏻), but I was born and spent the first twenty two and three quarter years of my life in that area, here are a few things I would say about doing anything in that part of the country, including something like TUS:
1: The heat. No one seems to associate Arkansas with heat. That is a potentially deadly piece of ignorance. I’ve seen 113 degrees in the shade, 100-110 is not uncommon, with high humidity.
2: Find a way to keep your ass clean. Heat and bad hygiene will make you wish for death.
3: prevent heat rash, whatever you have to do.
4: Watch where you put your hands and feet. There are a lot of venomous snakes and spiders native to that area. Also, fire ants. Watch out for their mounds, you do NOT want to lay down on them. Trust me.
I shouldve brought less food and more electrolyte packets
South Idahoan and former SoCal resident high drag low speed pool guy here. Maybe I have a bad understanding of urban but this sounds more rural/sub rural to me. Can someone explain how this will help me in the city?
They’re teaching principles that can be applied to any environment. The whole point is that you take it home and make it work for you and your people.
@@NEArk870 so it’s not urban it’s a tactical sustainment course, words matter.
😂😂 if this is the sort of thing that bothers you this class probably isn’t for you anyway.
@@NEArk870 I’m not saying I couldn’t actually learn something, I’m saying I live in a city with 50k people, and I’ve live in places with over 1million and 30-50mi of travel in URBAN, it’s very different then rural survival. So if I go looking for a true TUSC and I get this then ya I’ll be a little salty at poor advertising. This course from what I see is tactical town sustainment course at best, as 20k population and the ability to walk out in any direction in a day. Go live in LA County or NYC and you’ll understand the difference because it’s big.
@@Cyborg2101 Eh, you're going to be in an URBAN and SUBURBAN environment.
You will spend a large portion of the class learning how to secure your neighborhood and also how to work inside and around structures.
Will TUSC teach me how to talk to girls?
MFW I see a Bear :-)
MFW I see a woman 8-()
How much does the TUSC 3 day course cost? I saw someone from spiritus post "around $1k" on a reddit thread is that accurate? Potentially interested.

lol what the hell? The dyneema bag you have for the boo boo kit. I found that same one on Etsy awhile back. The red cross is flaking on mine too
I got the same one, love dyneema stuffsacks/bags, also same the red is flaking off
Do rigs like the Nixieworks Lightfighter do well in this course?
If you own it, I would just bring it and find out. Finding out the pros and cons at the course is the best way.
@kevinmcdowell3446 I don't own one, but have been looking
Even though this is a kit breakdown for a specific course, no one does kit breakdown's better than Spriritus. Thanks, Adam and the team.
Thank you for that. We appreciate your patronage of the channel!
The E-tool comes in handy for digging a small pit for my sleep apnea machine. Gotta muffle the sound somehow.
this has piqued my interest, which machine is it? I'm guess 12v or less to power?
@@jgonell anything more is just being extra.
I'm waiting to see a doctor which I truly believe will result in a sleep apnea diagnosis. I'm bummed out by the thought of it because I have no freaking idea how folks with it continue to do solo outdoor activities. What is your setup? Would be curious of specifics if you don't mind sharing.
@grant6245 Can't go wrong with the EASYLONGER CPAP battery back up.
Does anyone know what it costs and what credentials we need to sign up??
You do not need creds to attend this. The cost can change over time so you should reach out to DARC!
Cool stuff happens in Arkansas? I never knew
Is the course open to civilians ?
Yes
Thanks 🙏
whats that bdu/acu you're wearing
