The captain of the Midnight Express just needs training and experience. He’ll get it down with time. You really can’t tell how intimidating that is without being behind the wheel. Waves are way bigger when your in the boat, versus watching from the couch.

These quad 400R'S would easily gap those waves and throttle is your friend, but even if the plug was in this boy wouldn't have the nerve to drive the boat like it's capable of.

I've been in and out of Government Cut a couple times on +40' sailboats, but I never have been in or out at Haulover Inlet. It would seem to me it shouldn't be that bad at slack or incoming tide, but I think if it could be avoided going in and out on an outgoing tide (especially in the afternoon with the sea-breeze blowing in) might not be a bad idea.

Might as well put a few diesel inboards on it at that point and still save money.
