Every boat can handle rougher water than the human operating it. Whalers are amazingly buoyant, have a swamp capacity more than the weight of themselves, and basically can take on thousands of pounds of water without sinking. They had an old AD that used a cut in half whaler and the back half running like nothing happened.
@@Lucas-bn8pm Similar construction to a whaler(foam filled) if I remember correctly. They ride better than a whaler but they will get you wet. You can either have a sharp bow that cuts waves for a better ride but risk getting splashed or a flatter bow that will bounce, keeping you dry but the ride suffers.
I love watching the Haulover. Whenever I feel depressed, bored, or anxious, I bring up the Haulover boaters to cheer me up. Sometimes the Haulover is smooth, like this video. Other times, the ones that are clueless on how to trim their boat and how to handle their throttle look like they add about to go overboard whike their boat keeps going. It is never a dull moment at rhe Haulover.
Boat looks interesting, but is it me or does he seem to have a high plane on that exiting the inlet? Just my opinion. And after looking at them in online, look nice, wwwaaaayyyy out of my budget range haha... pardoyachts.com/50.php?lan=en
LOL, don’t beat yourself up. Most of them come from rich families or are drowning in debt. No way a 20-something year old would be able to afford a multi-million dollar yacht by simply going to college and getting a ‘good job’.
Your Mystery engine appears to be a Merc XR 150 Black Max. I could be wrong but after having one for a long while that cowl appeared to be very familiar
Mercury/Mariner 2.5 V6 and 2.0 V6 had the same cowling so it could be a 150,175 or a 200hp. They were called black max if Mercury or Magnum if mariner but either way you're right. I had 3 of them and they love to run but hate idling. They sound amazing at full throttle too.
amazing how that Inlet can go from flat to forget it so quickly, mystery boat...Cigarette? you can easily identify the "Hot Doggers" as compared to the real "Skippers" ...look at the gear on the boat... love the big centers and quads... great footage in HD !!
Midnight express with quad supercharged 450R's should run around the 115+ range on a smooth day, no problem! The mercury verados 350 in the triple set up ran 90+ with a load.
I think they are built and based very close to that inlet. I remember them having a display boat you could check out at 15th street fisheries in Lauderdale but not sure if that's where they are built.
Mercury or Mariner 2.5 V6.. Mercury and Mariner were the same company like Evinrude and Johnson of the same era. Either a 150, 175 or 200(identical from the outside). They love to run but hate to idle(had 3 of them including a Mariner version).
I've run these big center consoles and visibility over the bow is horrible. Pretty irresponsible to be running 60mph through the inlet.. There's a few boats running through there that have 40' blind spots over the bow.
I lived in the area with a 19' boat with low gunnels and turned around more times than I can count at haulover. It was a 1969 Aquasport in need of a restoration so i'm glad this channel wasn't around to call me out haha. I hated how rough it was.
I don't know much about small boats. How does a boat with all the weight of four outboards on the stern stay at such an even keel like the first one? Beautiful boat btw, I like that one.
25 year boat loans are the new normal.. Not saying there's not money there but take a drive around middle to blue collar neighborhoods and you'll find plenty of 100k boats. Love it or hate it it's part of the lifestyle.
I don't know what it is about a boat, having 4 outboard motors hanging off the back.. it looks stupid, looks tacky like Flavor Flaves stupid clock chain hanging around his neck.. if your going to spend a million dollars on a boat have some fucking taste..lol🤷♂️
Does anyone know the Make/Model of the mystery boat? I couldn't figure this one out.
Scarab?
The front console seat recessed into the console says Concept (36’), but I am not positive.
@@Ryan-bu9oz renegade 30?
It’s an Avance 33 cuddy.
2004 Avance VS 33'
I'm always really impressed with the smaller Boston Whaler boats. They handle the waves amazingly well.
I agree. Seen them handle the rough stuff surprisingly well. 👍
Unless you’re in one. Then you need back surgery.
The Cape Horn 17 also does it great

So I just watched 10 1/2 minutes of boats I'll never be able to afford going through an inlet. Why is this so satisfying?

Love seeing those big Midnights "in flight"!
Oh, the mystery motor on the Pro-line at 6:50 looks like a Merc 2-stroke V-6 I had back in the 80's.
Yep, def a Merc.
Picked up the Merc myself! Seems like it had a sound all of it own
@@rowdybroomstick1216
It was a screamer no doubt. Mine was a 150 on a 16' Checkmate!😱
it’s a black max it’s a 80s racing motor
5:26 looks like god of the boats
She handles that Pardo like a Pro. 👍
8:14 midnight express with rod holders and outriggers!!! hell yeah
that dgs boat was ready for battle!
i love this channel keep making great waves!
06:42 mystery engine is an older Mercury 200hp V-6
Midnight express boats are so beautiful...!
That's as smooth as I've ever seen Haulover.
The smooth water really highlights that the average boater thinks the power trim is only there for when the boat is on the trailer.
5:29 of all the boats I have seen on your channel, this one is my favorite. I'm gonna guess about $1 mill.
Thats a beautiful boat! 👍
Pardo 50. Italian sailing company that just started building powerboats. Own a 38 myself. They're wild.
I was just going to comment how ugly it is haha

1.2 million is what I found on pric3
That Pardo is a beast.
First black one I see at Haulover.
That Prado... Damn those are beautiful!
Thats Haulover Pics new boat. Absolutely gorgeous.
I like the Ranger at 10:30.
I love the Midnight Express
people have some damn good jobs to be able to afford some of those boats!! I should have listened to my parents!!
LOL, don’t beat yourself up. Most of them come from rich families or are drowning in debt. No way a 20-something year old would be able to afford a multi-million dollar yacht by simply going to college and getting a ‘good job’.

great footage in HD !!
Feels like the real skippers in the center consoles with twins or triples send it the hardest
I'm surprised you haven't started shooting these boat's with radar and putting it up on the screen as they haul ass past!
Nice video i was in the Ranger Boat 👍
Thnxs!
😍😍😍 Thanks for the video 😉
Thank you for the video .
Where are all those boats going coming from or to back from open water. Show some footage of the rsmps or marinas please, most crazy busy.
I'm pretty sure your mystery boat is a older scarab
looks like a 32 Concept with a cuddy up front
I think you may be right, Randy.
The mystery boat looks like a Donzi. Not sure which model though.
I love the yellowfin my brother has the 36
When you post your boat videos what category do you put them in for RUclips?

those midnight expresses are really popular down there eh?
Very popular amongst those who can afford one. Lol

6:09 i like this it'd be nice to have something under 30ft with twin 300+ engines and a large fuel tank.
Than i seen the seavee with the twin 450r mmm
Does anyone think that the yellowfins have the best hull shape for a center console
The mystery boat is a 33 Avance with twin 300 verados 4:50

So many midnight express boats

I wonder if some of the boat pilots & passengers are a little disappointed when Haulover is fairly smooth and calm.
