Sad to see that most of the Sims 4 worlds are underwhelming and extremely limited. It bugs me to no end that in Evergreen Harbor there's a lot of fake buildings and homes you can't access to and it makes the neighborhood somehow feel more empty and desolate than Magnolia Promenade or Forgotten Hollow
Dead space is the name of the game. Every single world has massive amounts of useable space, but none of it can actually be accessed because they filled it with non-accessable backdrop houses that annoyingly lock you into specific design aestherics.
I wish they’d update the old worlds, can you imagine if you could swim in the canals around the park in Willow Creek or build a beach house in Del Sol Valley?
@@romangervaise35 The loading doesn't last that much, not as long at The Sims 3 loading screens, plus, it's easier to make a world in The Sims 2, you could just go to SimCity 4 and import your world to the game
I also wish they'd given us a way of changing the dorms without using a cheat - I understand it's an American game, but dorms don't look like the ones in Brichester everywhere. It gets really tiring having to put cheats in to make a dorm that I recognise and prefer everytime
I would love if they would make vacation worlds livable, which I believe might happen sometime. My pet peeve about the worlds is that there is so much water everywhere and yet you can't swim in it. Yes there are a few exceptions, but only a few. And for some reason I could never figure out how to "wade in the water" - it's like I don't have that option at all.
I think that one of the reasons that the Mt Komorebi landscaping looks so cool is that they got players like Kayla to create the actual lots. Then the TS4 design team were able to focus on everything else and not have to consider things like whether a house they had built themselves was actually playable.
i love snowy escape because of how they made it japanese themed. i feel like most of the worlds are based mainly in like america and stuff so it was cool to get a world that was so much more foreign and different. i might also be biased because i am learning japanese 👀
wow simsie, i really appreciate that you took the time to include footage of you looking at each world to show things more in depth while you talked about it. it really helps people like me who don’t play the sims but love watching sims content, understand it more! thank you ❤️
Protip: create a "starter save" where you 'save as' instead of starting a whole new game every time. You can fill in the lots and then 'save as' for each new game you want to play.
@@derangedd.r. Starter save with buildings all done/lots filled/townies edited and never write over it but use it to start new saves. absolutely! and it is not even that magical-looking either, just a regular world that kinda looks like a combination of willow creek and newcrest... I was really looking forward to having a world with a magical touch but it was sooo disappointing :(
Nevermind the disappointment of the Magical Realm. Absolutely beautiful, but ultimately pretty useless. Just nothing to do there or be excited about other than by how pretty it is.

@@JamesFluker Yeah you can't even find all the ingredients you need in that world. It's got a totally useless greenhouse and the dueling seemed to be randomized not based on level so it wasn't much fun
What makes me love to live in Sulani aside from the oceanic life is its social life. The locals are so chill, rich of mutual cooperation. This place features strong local culture and we can summon the elemental spirits to judge how well we understand their culture. And then about Strangerville, I personally think that this one deserves its own game like TS2 Castaway where we have a goal and we can literally finish the game. The world is cool, that's a yes. But the gameplay, the scenario is too cool to be applied as just a simple sims' aspiration. I mean look at its reveal trailer. That's a literal adventure of young heroes saving the city from a certain pathogen outbreak.
Glimmerbrook was a needed world to me. Even if you do not play with magic you get a nice small and peaceful place filled with trees and Woods. A place to move when you need to just get away 😌
I feel like they could have added a secret location in Forgotten Hollow to help elaborate the vampires a little more. There is a perfect place on the cliff side below Vlad's house
Simsie @ 0:30 : "bad.. there is not many worlds that go down here. But I think you all can imagine what does. It starts with a B" Me: ... Btrangerville?
Being that Glimmerbrook was the first world I ever got it has such a special place in my heart, mainly because I’m absolutely obsessed with the world. It is so beautiful and really does carry a magical vibe to it, and once you rebuild all the lots in it it’s the best place ever

sulani is my favorite sims 4 world, no contest. it’s just so beautiful. for a solid three months after that pack came out, it’s like the only world i ever played in lol
I just recently got super into the sims since like last year, and in my life not a lot of people like the sims that ik of and finding your channel literally dedicated to my favorite game really made me happy!
Just had the feeling I was falling into another depressive episode and looked for a distraction so I wouldn't have to be alone with my thoughts. Thank you for posting this today. I am very grateful.
I forgot Batuu existed for a good while and wasn't any worse for it. On a different note, I really like how you were able to find good things to say about (most) of the worlds. It honestly feels like so many people in this community absolutely hate the Sims 4 and only talk about what it lacks, and I genuinely love the fact that you are able to see and talk about everything this game has. These are why you're the only Sims youtuber I feel really comfortable watching.
As a relative newcomer to "The SIMS 4," I am mostly fixated on the base worlds. Thank you, though, for introducing me to all of the worlds. Your channels on RUclips and Twitch are fun!
I love strangerville, I love the landscape!! I don’t have this pack bc the gameplay, cas and build items don’t really interest me but I actually could totally buy it only for the world. It also reminds me of Strangetown in the Sims 2 DS and I love it
They should've made a few apartment buildings for Del Sol so you could actually choose to live in the city itself, in the outskirts of the city (which they basically already have), or in the rich area on the hill (which, again, they already have)
I love that you looked at each world before ranking it and we could see too! I had never seen most of these worlds because I dont usually purchase expansion packs lol
Honestly the only thing I'd change would be putting San myshuno a bit lower, something about about world is just a bit odd to me. Probably a tier above cool but below I'm moving. Sulani would be lower for me as well, the terrible pack in itself makes the world a bit less to me
I only learned about it through RUclips lol it's the magic tree in Crick Cabana you click on it and go to Sylvan Glade. It's really pretty though you can't do much there iirc
@@cordeliaistheone Is *that* how you get to Sylvan Glade? I've been trying to figure out what the tree is for and why it's only in that one place. I've only seen the glade because I have a mod that routes you there for an event.
Yeah, click "view" on the big fancy tree and a door opens up. Then you "explore" and follow some prompts (if you mess up it'll take you back to the start but you just hit "explore" again) and then you have the option to travel to the glade. You can fish and look for frogs there. It's really pretty.
i really love the werewolf and the vampire worlds, but thats because if i am to play the sims they usually have a vampire or a werewolf with at least 1 child. its mainly bc i adore them and the themes and everything and i love the moon and i just adore how spooky everything is however glimmerbrook was such a disappointment. it couldve been such a cool witchy world but no, u only have like 3 lots and the builds are awful. like i was excited to have a witch sim but the world was disheartening. however i love being able to make bulk food in the cauldrons
Sulani, windenburg, San myshuno, brindleton bay, and mt. Komorebi are top tier and honestly all of them are my favorite packs (if seasons had a world I can only imagine how wonderful it would be)
That actually happens a lot in her videos. She'll say something, and then she'll repeat herself (probably because she didn't like how she said it the first time) but then won't edit out the first time she said it. I wonder why
Then don't buy it...I find it much more exciting than knitting and laundry 😂😂😂 If you are not SW fan , ok just ignore it , but I don't get why so many people are whining ;) There are plenty of packs for each taste ;)
I feel like we need a list of places to do engagements 😂 I use the waterfall at Selvadorada and the lighthouse in Brindleton Bay. Never thought to use that spot in Windenberg!
Hundreds? I only played the Sims 3 and 4, and I never had hundreds in the Sims 3 I could play at once. If I moved worlds I couldn’t go back to visit. Also The Sims 4 has about 200 lots across all worlds
@@jesselenah yes, just like you read. in fact, sunset valley had a total of 92 lots...and that is ONLY base game. Also you could add more lots if you wanted to. And remember that we had the create a world tool for FREE... so you also could create your own custom world...

Most of the simmers like lilsimsie , James Turner , delicacy and simlicy build the lots
When Kayla said "it starts with a B", my brain immediately went "why does she hate Brindleton Bay?" I hate Batuu so much that I forgot that it exists 😂
I couldn't remember the name of the place tbh
@Faith Smith just imagine a world where the Gurus never discovered Star Wars. Nice, isn't it? 😉
me too- it's the only pack my fam didn't buy because none of us care about star wars lol
I would give anything to forget about Battu
Unpopular opinion but I love the batuu pack.
I wish they'd do more worlds like San myshuno. It was like, an actual experience. The festivals are sooooo much fun. And i love the apartments. Ngl. I'm good with bigger ones but I would love to be able to explore apartments like hotels and have things in them as well.
I noticed that even when I don’t live in San Myshuno (and I do live there a lot) i end up travelling to it often because there’s just so much to do! I LOVE the lots there!
when you said “it starts with a b” i thought you were talking about brindleton bay and got confused. and then i remembered that i don’t live in a fantasy world where batuu doesn’t exist

I wish there were more lots in the central parts of Britechester because there’s a lot of like dead space, and it’s a very cool concept for a town.
Yeah, I also which the townies of the town could make fun of the university students
Jesus loves you all personally have a nice day(:
Dead space is the name of the game. Every single world has massive amounts of useable space, but none of it can actually be accessed because they filled it with non-accessable backdrop houses that annoyingly lock you into specific design aestherics.

The loading doesn't last that much, not as long at The Sims 3 loading screens, plus, it's easier to make a world in The Sims 2, you could just go to SimCity 4 and import your world to the game
@@Alejandroso31 Maybe my explanation was confusing, i was indeed talking about the loading time in the sims 3 and his Create-A-World tool lol
My issue with brichester is that the sims themselves don't seem like uni kids they just walk to their cubby hole and disappear
I also wish they'd given us a way of changing the dorms without using a cheat - I understand it's an American game, but dorms don't look like the ones in Brichester everywhere. It gets really tiring having to put cheats in to make a dorm that I recognise and prefer everytime
@@caitlindaniels1999 this is also my main problem with the uni housing!!

@@claireglover1391 ...I use the off the grid trait
Glimmerbrook is beautiful in my opinion!
I downloaded a stunning faerie castle from the gallery :)
That's super clever! I might steal it.
I think that one of the reasons that the Mt Komorebi landscaping looks so cool is that they got players like Kayla to create the actual lots. Then the TS4 design team were able to focus on everything else and not have to consider things like whether a house they had built themselves was actually playable.
Honestly kind of weird for a company not to use something that would both save money and make the community happy more often.
i love snowy escape because of how they made it japanese themed. i feel like most of the worlds are based mainly in like america and stuff so it was cool to get a world that was so much more foreign and different. i might also be biased because i am learning japanese 👀
wow simsie, i really appreciate that you took the time to include footage of you looking at each world to show things more in depth while you talked about it. it really helps people like me who don’t play the sims but love watching sims content, understand it more! thank you ❤️
Protip: create a "starter save" where you 'save as' instead of starting a whole new game every time. You can fill in the lots and then 'save as' for each new game you want to play.

absolutely! and it is not even that magical-looking either, just a regular world that kinda looks like a combination of willow creek and newcrest... I was really looking forward to having a world with a magical touch but it was sooo disappointing :(
Nevermind the disappointment of the Magical Realm. Absolutely beautiful, but ultimately pretty useless. Just nothing to do there or be excited about other than by how pretty it is.

Yes, It was so tiny that I just made it a family that owned a huge peice of property and then 1 magic related shop on the side.
Totally agree with the Batuu rating.... and I’m saying that as a Star Wars fan. It had no buissness being a sims pack

I thought that boarded up cave with the bats flying out of it was going to be like the cave in Oasis Springs.
