I have just read the book. I think every woman in the world should read it, no matter, if she is Arabian or not. I think it is an archetype that a man always does that he wants but a woman tries to suit everyone, especially a man, and it is because historically she was dependant on the man in terms of family. But it is an archetype. Every woman has a voice. But many are afraid. The book has reminded me about my childhood. I wanted to escape home since I was like 10 years old because my father hit my mother, and I told myself that I would never be like my mother. I would be independent, I would earn my own money, I would choose a man who will respect me. So I left at 16, I am highly educated woman, I can sustain myself easily. But my sister is repeating the fate of my mother - her husband hits her, she is unhappy and afraid. I need to give her the book. So, thank you Etaf!!!

I just finished this book and started searching the web for more info on the author and subject. That's how I fell upon your interview. You did a wonderful job and asked amazing questions. I leaned in to hear her answers and I learned a lot. Thank you both for your time.
