    I am 2 months into my loc journey and IT’S THE BEST DECISION I’VE EVER MADE 👍🏾. I. Cannot put any oils in it yet though. Great information because my lockticians did not give me a sisterlocks kit and I had to pay for my 1st retie. She did an amazing job though but I’m looking for a closer locktician because she’s 1 1/2 hour away😩in California where traffic is awful.

    Omg you and your hair look so beautiful, you’re definetly my hair twin. I’m going on year 5 and I can’t wait to reach 10. Please make more Sisterlocks videos! Especially more in depth on your color like your routine and if you experience breakage/shedding or dryness. I really wanna color my hair but I’m afraid so more info would definetly be appreciated, thank you! 💙

      Thank you so much!! 💜 I was nervous to colour my hair at first too, but I stuck to 2 rules: go to a professional to colour (even though it's not cheap) and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Thanks for the suggestions - I'm making more hair videos!

    The first 3 hours of reteist was instead, $60 an hour after in San Diego California. Cost 1550 for 9 inches of hair. My first retwist took 8 hour because I was 5 weeks in with my locs.

    I had locks for a year and a half and they were small at first but became medium as they grew..problem they were getting heavy and my scalp was becoming more and more tender..I have fine hair up on the scalp and thick on top "if it makes sense"and I was doing everything on my own..so I cut them off..although they looked healthy but I got afraid of becoming bald, because of the pain..question? Is sisterlocks lighter?!

    • @MsJacksonTravels
      @MsJacksonTravels  2 месяца назад +1

      My sisterlocks are pretty light, but I've never had bigger locs so I can't compare. My locs size hasn't changed over time and I've trimmed them to keep them light. I would book a consultation with a reputable loctician and share your experience to see what technique they would recommend for your hair type.

    I have had my sisterlocks for 2 years. I am currently looking for another loctician. I was sick to my stomach when I noticed the damage done to my hair. I trusted her. She just retied so tight my hair was pulled from the root. I have already lost 2 locs. I am sick. Crying. The lady I want to try is literally charging almost $400 for a retie.

    • @MsJacksonTravels
      @MsJacksonTravels  4 месяца назад

      Omg I’m so sorry you went through that 😟 Where are you located? A good loctician should be able to repair the damage over time.

    I contacted several people...I had to show up with my hair already washed and had to pay $1200- $2000 for an install of sisterlocs/microlocs....that's it...nothing extra. I've just decided to start my locs myself. Unfortunately, retwist start at $200.

    • @MsJacksonTravels
      @MsJacksonTravels  5 месяцев назад +1

      Sisterlocks are expensive. That price range depending on your hair length, sounds right 😩 The install is a package though that includes your 1st retight. Like I say if you can start and maintain your locs yourself, that is the best! Good luck on your journey :)

    Hello. I know you covered the topic of your hair color in this video. But when it's time to color your hair, are they bleaching it or not? Thanks 😊.

    We have to move past terms like “ugly” phase and “DREAD”locks. It’s just an awkward phase and they are locs. Words mean things.

    • @MsJacksonTravels
      @MsJacksonTravels  4 месяца назад +1

      I'm comfortable with the words I use to describe my hair. You should use the words that are comfortable for you. We need to move past telling other adults what to do.
