That was the best review i have ever seen hope your channel gets blasted up. Can you help me out on what are the options on getting a CPU with 4070s other than this without getting too much bottlenecked and still in budget.
im on a 14500 and a 3090, small amount of games will bottleneck in 1440p, but not all scenarios means a gpu less than 99% is a CPU neck, it can be because not all your vram is used, or the software itself just not working right with your exact set up, overall im really happy with my 14500 and 3090 set up no bottleneck in 4k or 1440p
I have same combo, all games runs at ultra with around 70+ fps without any problems,on 1080p. For some super demanding games like Cyberpunk,RTX 4070 super is not up for the task for raytracing/path tracing, you need at least RTX 4080 and up to run it smoothly with this settings on. In most games i had no issues with raytracing on ultra,Resident Evil 4 runs amazing with maximum raytracing on 70+ fps, same is with Hitman 3. With that said i5 14400f and RTX 4070 super is good combo, yes you can always go higher, but if you already build Intel gaming PC its better to wait until Intel solve problems with more high end gaming CPUs before upgrade.
I have a GTX 1060 with a Ryzen 2700 at 4Ghz, I am planning on upgrading in the summer to be able to test more games for my channel. I dont want to get CPU bottlenecka though at 1080p. The RTX 4070 auper is really tempting tbh
At 1080p with this GPU you'll definitely need a very fast CPU to avoid bottleneck even in demanding AAA games. On a different topic, I'd recommend recording you talking in the videos instead of using text. Viewers will get a better experience and your RUclips channel will grow faster. It doesn't have to be live commentary like I do in this video. Voiceover works great too. Gives you an opportunity to write a script and read from it. It will be fine. Especially if are getting it as a temporary CPU. I wouldn't hesitate to get the cheapest option. A 13400F for example. There's very little difference in performance between the 14400 and the 13400. Even a 12400f would be OK as a temporary solution.
@@theivadim Yes!, Ido want it for gaming and I do like some good visuals :). I am glad it is compatible, if you have a suggestion for a better budget cpu for this gpu I would be happy. Thanks!.
If you are building a new PC then I'd consider an AMD option. Ryzen 5 7600 or 7600X paired with a B650 motherboard (ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 is an amazing low-budget board that supports even the most powerful Ryzen 9 CPUs). This way if you decide to upgrade your CPU in the future it'll be an easy CPU swap. Furthermore, AMD will release at least one more CPU generation on for this motherboard. Possibly two generations. That opens up a wide upgrade path in the future. While Intel's current motherboard won't support any new CPU generations. 14th gen is the last one. New motherboards are coming later this year or early next year.
I think it depends on how much you value features such as upscaling and frame generation. NVIDIA's technologies are superior and implemented in more games. So, the 4070 SUPER would be my choice. In terms of raw rasterisation performance these two GPUs are the same.
@@chinhtkt3074 already built a new pc with Ryzen 5 7600 + rtx 4070super + Corsair sf850l psu + 32gb ddr5 6000mhz ram + msi b650i edge wifi + Samsung 970 evo plus 1tb nvme ssd in a MITX case CH160 and it runs great

You have a decent CPU. I always upgrade GPU first. Monitor is also important. If I were you, I'd get the GPU and monitor first as those two will deliver the most tangible experience improvement. You might find that the 12400 performs well enough for you to enjoy your games and not worry about the CPU upgrade until you decide to upgrade your GPU next time.
i got RX6600 non xt , with i3-10105f , planing on upgrading monitor to 1440p 165hz, can i achieve Good fps on Dota 2, csgo , apex and some triple A games with medium to high settings? or i gotta upgrade to 11400f? ps im newb on PC building n i guess i chose the wrong Mobo combo with dead Socket, pls help
For those kind of games I recommend getting the fastest CPU you can. If you don't want to change your motherboard then look into buying an i5 11600K. Also, while you're on the RX 6600 I wouldn't recommend upgrading to 1440p. That graphics card is a bit weak for that resolution. It's the perfect value GPU for 1080p tho.
@@theivadim hey Thx For reply man, Yeah..about that, the sad part is My Mobo is Asus H510m.. its the lowest tier.. I think ill buy b550m and R5 5600.. Consider the price here , i know its dead but didnt have much choices
Do not upgrade to 1440p, you will need a new desk also, especially if the monitor is 34" . If you buy a monitor for better refresh rate get a 1080p 240hz or more. And after that if you want to play 1440p use virtual super resolution. Best option is 29 or 30" ultrawide 200hz

It'll be more or less the same as the i5 14400 you see in this video. Should be fine as long as you don't expect to play competitive games at very high FPS. Casual AAA gaming is what this class of CPUs is made for.
@Danny-cw9iw I just completed a budget concious build with the Ryzen 5 7600X and 4070 Super and they seem very nicely matched. I think you will be happy with either.
I agree with Ian. Very little performance differece going from 7500F to 7700 in casual AAA gaming scenarios. Again, competitive games on lower settings (for higher FPS) is an exception. You'll see higher FPS in this case because these games love faster CPUs. For example if you play CS2 on a high refresh rate monitor.
If you play on lower graphics settings to achieve very high FPS then I'd recommend looking into getting a faster CPU for the exact competitive game (or games) you want to play. 4070 SUPER is way too powerful for 1080p. So, you can even get a cheaper GPU and spend that money on a better CPU for the best performance in competitive games. I hope this info helps. Bear in mind that some CPUs are better for one game, and some for others. Also, there are games that love cache. In which case AMD's X3D CPUs are a must-have. Ryzen 7 7800X3D for example. So, you'll have to do more research into this matter.
I'd take a look at the 4060 Ti performance if I were you. I can't give you a definitive advice on this as I haven't tested or experienced the scenario you're looking for.
I have very limited experience with competitive games as I don't play them. I'd search for the game I want + i5 14400 (or 13400 because they're almost the same) and see if I'm happy with the performance. If I had to guess then I'd say that it's probably going to be OK.
The slow ram is kind of a problem though. At 5600cl40, it isn’t really faster than standard ddr4. I’d say 6000c30 is a decent choice but 6400c32 would be best if the locked .9 SA voltage isn’t a problem.
I have same build i5 14400F+gigabyte4070S, but i have fps drop (frametime spikes) in Cyberpunk 2077. (debloat windows 11, optimized for gamming) i don't understand why.... does anyone have any ideas?
That combo should be fine. How much ram do u have? Sometimes if u run out of ram it will stutter like crazy as it will overspill into your storage which is nowhere near as fast as ram
It's a great combo you have there. Don't worry about bottleneck with your PC. Especially, in the latest AAA games. You're getting all the FPS🙂👍 And most importantly, are you enjoying the performance in the games you've played so far?

Thanks! I appreciate your support🫡🙂 As for your build: I think it's a good plan. Most B760 are built very well and are able to support even power-hungry i9 K processors without any performance issues. So, 13600K is easy. The only change I'd suggest is swapping that Gen 3 SSD for Gen 4 if the price difference is low. In my region they're priced almost the same. But faster SSD is worth it in my opinion. Direct Storage technology is coming to PC games and faster SSD will be key to good performance (FPS) as well as faster loading times. Also, when you have a fast SSD updates and installations or scans (anti-virus for example) are completed faster. It's just nice to have.
Are you not considering Ryzen CPU? Intel 700-series motherboards won’t see any new CPUs. While AMD 600-series AM5 motherboards will see 1 or 2 more generations launch. Good for future upgrades. No?

It will be fine. Especially if are getting it as a temporary CPU. I wouldn't hesitate to get the cheapest option. A 13400F for example. There's very little difference in performance between the 14400 and the 13400. Even a 12400f would be OK as a temporary solution.
Hello.. is intel core i5-14400f compatible with the RTX 3080 ti? Nice video btw and such a relaxing voice
Thanks!☺️ It'll be fine for casual use. If you don't play games on competitive (low) graphics settings then you'll have a good time.
What gpus should i get for my ryzen 5 5500? rtx 4070 super or rx 7900 gre (they are the same price)
I think it depends on how much you value features such as upscaling and frame generation. NVIDIA's technologies are superior and implemented in more games. So, the 4070 SUPER would be my choice. In terms of raw rasterisation performance these two GPUs are the same.
what about an i5-10400f with 4070 Super and Corsair RM 550x psu?
you need least 750w psu and i5-13400f to handle 4070s, otherwise it won't do
@@chinhtkt3074 already built a new pc with Ryzen 5 7600 + rtx 4070super + Corsair sf850l psu + 32gb ddr5 6000mhz ram + msi b650i edge wifi + Samsung 970 evo plus 1tb nvme ssd in a MITX case CH160 and it runs great
Which Intel CPU do you prefer for this Graphics Card ?
Probably not worth it going for anything above 13/14600K.
the 14400 is choking with ciberpunk, the gpu wasnt... the gpu was below 80% at times lol, maybe no less than a 12700k/13600k/14600k-
rtx 4070 super paired with i5 14600k ,do u think is it going to bottleneck?
That’s a good combo👍
Bro i have i512400 and gtx 1060 , planning to upgrade to rtx 4070 super, is that a bad idea? or do i have to get i5 14500 in order to pair with rtx 4070 super? because im on budget, trying to save for 1440p monitor
@theivadim thank you so much. Took your advice. Just order colorful rtx 4070 super nb ex 12gb, coolermaster 750w gold and viewsonic vx2728j-2k
i got RX6600 non xt , with i3-10105f , planing on upgrading monitor to 1440p 165hz,
can i achieve Good fps on Dota 2, csgo , apex
and some triple A games with medium to high settings?
or i gotta upgrade to 11400f?
ps im newb on PC building n i guess i chose the wrong Mobo combo with dead Socket, pls help
@@theivadim hey Thx For reply man,
Yeah..about that, the sad part is My Mobo is Asus H510m.. its the lowest tier..
I think ill buy b550m and R5 5600..
Consider the price here , i know its dead but didnt have much choices
That is a good budget-friendly choice👍
Do not upgrade to 1440p, you will need a new desk also, especially if the monitor is 34" . If you buy a monitor for better refresh rate get a 1080p 240hz or more. And after that if you want to play 1440p use virtual super resolution. Best option is 29 or 30" ultrawide 200hz
@@shargakun hey dude..
Yeah i Dont mind about the new desk, that was easy..
And i just wanna up to 27inch only..30+ is too big..
Just want to experience high ppi, never had one..
The hard part is my CPU and VGA , everyone says i need to upgrade both, now thats expensive 🤣 up the monitor, its gonna bottleneck my VGA, up the vga will bottlenek The cpu ,the list goes on.
I5 14500 and Rtx 4070 super, would it bottleneck?
The 14500 is not much better than the 14400. So, expect very similar experience to what you see in this video.
I am also gonna make a build with 4070 super is the Ryzen 5 7500F okay wkrh 4070 super? Or will it gice bottleneck
It'll be more or less the same as the i5 14400 you see in this video. Should be fine as long as you don't expect to play competitive games at very high FPS. Casual AAA gaming is what this class of CPUs is made for.
@@theivadim I actually want to use this combo for few years but if I am bothered can I pair up Ryzen 7 7700?
@Danny-cw9iw I just completed a budget concious build with the Ryzen 5 7600X and 4070 Super and they seem very nicely matched. I think you will be happy with either.
I agree with Ian. Very little performance differece going from 7500F to 7700 in casual AAA gaming scenarios. Again, competitive games on lower settings (for higher FPS) is an exception. You'll see higher FPS in this case because these games love faster CPUs. For example if you play CS2 on a high refresh rate monitor.
@@IanSizzler I wanted to go for 3080 paired with Ryzen 5 7500F but than 4070 super got released and I am tempted to get it
Ryzen 5 7600x 1080p bottleneck the Rtx 4070 super ?, i play competitive games with 1080p
@@theivadim what gpu is the Perfect for 7600x competitive games ? 4060ti ? But 1080p
I'd take a look at the 4060 Ti performance if I were you. I can't give you a definitive advice on this as I haven't tested or experienced the scenario you're looking for.
What if i only want 165 fps, is this combo good for esport games?
I have very limited experience with competitive games as I don't play them. I'd search for the game I want + i5 14400 (or 13400 because they're almost the same) and see if I'm happy with the performance. If I had to guess then I'd say that it's probably going to be OK.
The slow ram is kind of a problem though. At 5600cl40, it isn’t really faster than standard ddr4. I’d say 6000c30 is a decent choice but 6400c32 would be best if the locked .9 SA voltage isn’t a problem.
I have ddr4 32gb 3200mhz cl16 am I fine?
I have same build i5 14400F+gigabyte4070S, but i have fps drop (frametime spikes) in Cyberpunk 2077. (debloat windows 11, optimized for gamming) i don't understand why.... does anyone have any ideas?
That combo should be fine. How much ram do u have? Sometimes if u run out of ram it will stutter like crazy as it will overspill into your storage which is nowhere near as fast as ram
I have 4070 super with i5-14600kf is there bottelneck?
It's a great combo you have there. Don't worry about bottleneck with your PC. Especially, in the latest AAA games. You're getting all the FPS🙂👍 And most importantly, are you enjoying the performance in the games you've played so far?
@@theivadim yesterday i ordered pc

Thanks! I appreciate your support🫡🙂
As for your build: I think it's a good plan.
@@theivadim Thanks Bro Now I Go For The 4Th Gen SSD 😺
But I Build This Whole Pc After Some Months
Are you not considering Ryzen CPU? Intel 700-series motherboards won’t see any new CPUs. While AMD 600-series AM5 motherboards will see 1 or 2 more generations launch. Good for future upgrades. No?
hi i just got myself a i5 14400F + rtx 4070 super ti (16gb) with 2x8 DDR5 as i don't understand much abt pc specs, could u tell me if i'll encounter any kind of bottleneck or anything that sounds bad ? XD
You'll get even more of a bottleneck in cyberpunk.
A 4070ti Super is around 20% faster than the 4070 super.
