@@kenny3179 Well, that is not entirely true. When you get to the endgame, currently the order tide will send dozens of armies after you. Even when you have a strong economy you will never be able to field as much armies as they do and you will get attacked, especially settlements.

Imagine beaing a freshly recruited soldier into a squad of black guard and you're sent running to your first battle. Suddenly 8-10 skyscraper high monstrous undead ships with cannon arms slowly creak and crack to aim at your unit. Warhammer.
Really love the "Abandon Ship!" ability that spawns a unit of zombies. Over the course of that battle you got 17 free zombie spawns, and these are the best melee zombies in the game (for what it's worth)
Not as strong as it used to be, but still solid once fully upgraded by tech, skills and ship buffs. Pretty useless until then though. When I first used it in a battle, I was hugely disappointed, but by the end of the campaign when the buffs had all landed it was really doing the job.
One of my favorite Warhammer 2 things is just planting my necrofex outside a city, taking out the towers and walls in a volley or two then letting them free fire for a bit. Once moral has been suitably reduced a la giant cannon ship monster I just slow walk them through the gates firing the whole time. Ah lothern. The city of lights. Fire light 😄
By locking the group you can right click on ennemies and the group will attack what is in front of it (each unit will attack a different ennemy unit). Not always optimal but can do the job you want.

When I play Colossus Doomstack I usually send 1 colossus in front so he draw most enemies on him, rest will just shoot that enemy blobs. I dont keep colossus all close together, i divide on 3 groups, centre and 2 flanks, centre a bit in front.
actually you don.t need to do that, use the lord and then summon, always go vamp lord so he get healing and can hold long enough for the necrofex to gun everyone down.

I just play the Lizardbois with Stegadon + a bit of Engine of the god stacks against the Naggarond tides. They are clearly the better stack, but the settlement garrisons suck ass mostly.
I'm currently playing a Clan Mors campaign on Very Hard, it has been tough to survive all those aggressive factions around me but I managed to do it, but it is now turn 80-ish and I need a really effective army or two to take care of all those Dark Elves / Tomb Kings / Orks coming my way. I think ideally I'd be rolling some Ratlings / Jezzails, but I don't have the DLC. What else could be a good stack? Maybe a Plague Priest stack, or something? So far I've been using Rat Ogres and Pit Abominations to force the enemy into easily artillery spots, but I'm starting to think there must be a better alternative than losing one or two Pit Abominations every time I want to delete an Army (+ reinforcing army) that's invading my territory. I'd love some neat tricks and tips!
If you make sure you are on the attack you could try a semi rush army with Doomwheels and Plagueclaw Catapults/Warp Lightning Cannons Since the Tomb kings and Orks don't have much armor Piercing missiles the Doomwheels will be able to tank missile fire better than Hell Pits. Plague Priests will always be useful in my opinion and It's just a thought but just maybe you could stack a few Warlock Engineers in your army to boost the range of the Globadiers and WarpFire Throwers to make them faster and boost their range making them more useful when ambushing armies because of the speed and range increase I would maybe take 1or 2 Plague Priests for summons and 1 or 2 Warlock Engineers with 4 Doomwheels to tank and 4 to 5 Plagueclaw Catapaults and 2 Warp Lightning Cannons for Anti-Large and the rest with Globadiers and Warp Fire Throwers This really reminds me of how much the Skaven had struggled before the DLC and I hope this long post could be of help to you
The most important thing is to always be on the attack Skaven armies operate with ambushes and if you keep defending you won't be able to expand and weaken your enemies
Just build my first necrofex doomstack and though about adding 2-3 rotting leviathans to act as a frontline so that more of the necrofex can shot for longer. Since a lot of the necrofex boni also count for the leviathans i think this could work well. What are your thoughts?
I BEAT 4 20 STACK ARMIES OF DARK ELVES WITH THIS SAME ARMY!! Defending not attacking so no lightning strike, lost only 1 unit and killed around 5000 enemies. All of my units were level 9 which helps a lot
Necrofex doomstack is better because its badass. Seeing cannon to the face of puny infantry. I only regret sound effect they choose. I rather have cannon like sound rather than that blowpipe.
Why is the balance of power not displaying in this battle? I can't see the bar at all, just the Awakened symbol at the top of the screen. Makes it difficult to follow especially when Legend describes the Wind of Death changing the balance of power...
This reminds me my legendary campaign with Noctilus: Stomp the HE, and then the DE finish them off on the north, then the fuckers enter at war at me, then the freacking bretonnians go at war with me, then of course, Archaon the Punchbag creates the Order Tide and the campaign was over.
You should see the meme Harkon campaign I have. I have a about 18 full/near full stacks of Dwarves, elves, empire and French people all waiting to 'Piper Perry my starting settlement.. I fucking laugh every time I load it

What he could have done is funnel the enemy around the structure for better necrofex shots and use summon to hold them there to increase more of their losses before going into melee. Also keeping 3 or so necrofex at the back to keep shooting while the rest enter the unavoidable melee could have helped a bit.
@@greed1sgood130 Click on the initial position and while maintaining your click, aim at the direction in which you want the spell to be casted. That's called vector targetting, and in TW:WH2 works on wind and (most) breath spells
@@Berethgor Tbh i think the doomstack is the worst you can do with it. 80% of the Time they just going to hit themselfs instead of the Target. Everytime i took them in a doomstack they ended up dealing more dmg to my doomstack then actually doing something to the Enemy. 2 in a normal coast Army are fine but i wont touch that doomstack anymore its just Way to expensive for a mediocare unit. Even skaven have less friendly fire
I had a noctilus campaign with them and sword of Kayne and felt disgusting after a while of steamrolling everything so I restarted and used regular coast armies that are more fun and pretty much just as effective

I wish there was an attack move order so you don't have to micro every unit if you move them forward.

It feels like CA weakened the necrofex stacks & TK heirotitan stacks since they were released they don't seem as strong anymore.

Tbh i really think the necrofex is overrated.
Finished my coast campaign 2 Days ago and only because i avoided them.
Imo its a unit that is only really worth it in a doomstack because they have no synergy with the other units in your roster.
