Absolutely love this car. The 66-67 Fairlane R-Code 427 are my favorite cars ever made by Ford. Love the R-Code Galaxie's too...especially the 65-67's. But any 427 Ford is a bad machine
Bought a 66 Fairlane, had a 390 was balanced/blueprinted,built right,4speed,fast!!! Also had 67 Fairlane factory 427 drag car!! Never got to race it though. Wasn't running when i got it,found it had drop valve.Lost job ended up parting out,of all my cars, that's one of them wished still had!!!
A guy in the town I live in has a factory 427 66 fairlane. He bought it new and had to go to nam.He had the motor and transmission rebuilt in it recently and brought it to a small car show. It looked like original paint on it.In 67 you could get them in any of the trim levels but not in 66. Real nice guy, I talked to him a long time about it. Buy the way I’m not Vayda, that’s my granddaughters name.
Frigging stunning, what a piece of bad ass history! Luv it!!!!!! Hope you have good neighbors! Florida I can hear the mocking bird barking away! Haha Sheriff's your neighbor to funny!!!
Ford REALLY made some top line cars in the muscle era, late 60's etc., so did Chev, and Chrysler, you can nit pick on who you like the most and if it's chev instead of Ford, I can definitely understand that.....but no one can deny the AWESOME select massively hot fords that blew chev away in certain years... or at least became VERY equal. I love late 60's Fords,,,, also love SS Chevelles and Novas.... totally awesome !
Look at the 427 years in Nascar. GM or Chrysler had nothing that could touch them. they would take the top 5 spots almost every time. Nascar was cruel to ford and the stuff they made them change to keep them from dominating the circuit, it was pure engineering that won them the spots.
YES - Look it up, Also the 427 came out in 63, it was in 65 that Nascar banned the high riser engines that were winning nascar. Ford would have dominated 67 in nascar too. They were winning the Le Mans with the engine that nascar banned.
The reason why the cop is parked is probably because your car is on double secret probation, one false move, one slip up,and your finshed, expelled from your neighborhood.
A true sleeper. Very understated .... until you open the hood. Have any trouble keeping the seat backs from breaking over backwards due to the incredible torque that engine develops?
Nice , i had one , wimbledon white , same hood . had been an s code prior. Med riser , Dove tunnel wedge intake , 660 center squirters four speed , 4;11 detroit locker. std bore side oiler. HAD is the key word . Frank
The guy is right about the off white color. Every one that I ever saw at the races were white. They lost in Ssb to the street hemi at the 66 and 67 us nationals .i was there
BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF MACHINERY... WHAT SIZE TIRE ARE YOU RUNNING FOR BOTH FRONT AND BACK? I JUST PICKED UP MY 66 FAIRLANE GTA WITH A 390'S. GRAY IN COLOR... LOOKING FORWARD TO TRADE IDEAS AND MEMORIES WITH ALL ENTHUSIASTS!!!!
Ford automobiles all of them after 1968 were detuned from the factory to meet certain standards of idling and vibration that the brass at Ford came up with. This meant the cams and compression couldn't be as radical as the cars from GM and Chrysler but when their engines were put on professional venues with the right goodies in them they could compete with any GM or Chrysler product.
do the 427 fairlanes have just the standard top loader in them? are they the close ratio or wide ratio? the big input top loader didnt come out till 68 behind the 428 stuff right?
car were so awsome in those days...i dont care that they nw make fast 4 cyl turbo plastic econobox that are faster, they are not as fun and full of garbage i dont want, like electronic, screens, electric this and that...all iwant is a body and engine+drivetrain and seats with the only options: power steering,am radio delete and diff ratio choices
very well said, no shit. Just who in the hell are they catering to these days? I guess its the lowest common denominator, camera for this , button to do that for you. its an absolute mess and the guy or gal that just enjoys driving is left paying for all these so called advancements. I guess we just have to be thankful that we lived and totally enjoyed an era where cars were fun to drive and look at too
you really needed to do a drive along for the viewers to at least experience the G-force acceleration.....don't understand the whole concept of the video without actually seeing the car run.....don't baby this thing
I was hoping he was going to punch it pulling out of the driveway but then I seen the cop car sitting there then I was hoping he was going to punch it after he went by him 😂
I HAD THE FIRST 66 FAIRLANE GTA IN ILLINOIS, S URE WISH I HAD THE 427 THOUGH., WHAT A SCREAMER MAN, YHE GTA WAS FASTER THEN ALL THE GT 390's in our town. SHE SURE IS A BUTE. MY GTA WAS CANDY RED WITH BLACK GUTS, NO POWER ANYTHING, WITH RADIO DELETE, BACK THEN IT WAS A SCREAMER WITH HEADERS AND A 3.90 RING GEAR. I CAN IMAGINE YOUR 427 WITH THE LUMPY CAM, AWESOME.
Burnouts just beat on your drivetrain, and are pointless 🍺 Also, that is Florida, and the Sheriffs all live locally... I don’t think there was anyone in that cruiser anyway.
Even the rocker panels are clean and straight! Great video no dumb music just the car and that lucky man driving it.
Stunningly beautiful and absolutely wicked sounding.
No words can describe how I feel about this car. Absolute perfection in every way including the color...
You ate right but why the whimpy hubcaps ,performance car is degraded with them on
I don't blame you at all for deciding to keep it. This is one awesome car. You'd definitely regret it if you sold it.
El proyecto qué estoy haciendo de un Torino 68 Ford faylan
This is the baby brother to the Galaxy and quite a bit lighter. That 427 side oiler was an awesome motor for this car
Without the 427 badging on the front fender, you would think it was grandma's grocery getter. Great car!
hahah he floor it then the passerby are like:whoa ford's straigth 6 are bad as hell hahaha =P
Drop dead gorgeous car. Great color and motor choice!
Rc cars
My poor little ‘66 GTA with its wannabe 390 wants to sound like this when it grows up 💥🔥🏁🤩
Very wise........one of the best body styles ford ever created...........
love it the car is awsome especially with the side oiler beautiful car man
Beautiful car, hope my resto-mod comes out that nice
One of my top three cars ever! Absolutely badass!!! Im so jealous!
Absolutely love this car. The 66-67 Fairlane R-Code 427 are my favorite cars ever made by Ford. Love the R-Code Galaxie's too...especially the 65-67's. But any 427 Ford is a bad machine
Jeremy Thompson, I have a fully restored 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie XL 427 R code car and a fully restored 66 Ford Fairlane XL 427 R code car.

That's a keeper won't find many with that set up
Rare piece of vintage tin. I loved the old stacked headlight fords.
Let’s go for a ride! Love the hubcaps
Frigging stunning, what a piece of bad ass history! Luv it!!!!!!
Hope you have good neighbors!
Florida I can hear the mocking bird barking away!
Haha Sheriff's your neighbor to funny!!!
very straight car with a VERY crisp idle.
My favorite car is a 66 and 67 Fairlane
Beautiful job, and so much classier than the usual white ones that you see.
This is not a factory 427 R code car.
I love the birds chirping while just looking
Beautiful Fairlane!
good your keeping her

Carat Cranker yes sir great is great. I'm a Ford guy but if a GM product is great I'll acknowledge it definitely

High water mark, all Detroit Iron.
Gorgeous
A monster that "will rip your face off when you punch that 'GO' pedal" - something Bill Stephens w/say about this beautiful car.
This is THE CAR.
You have the perfect Muscle car. Thanks for sharing!
Super fast reinforced 427 built to last and stronger than the 428 motor.
Complete sleeper. Awesome.less then 50 were produced. 427 killer for all competition.
This is a clone, ok? Ford did not put the 427 into ‘66 or ‘67 GT Fairlanes. Only a 390 was available in GTs in 1966,
best sleeper i have ever seen, cool
Love this car, dream car, would give both testicles and a kidney for it.
hahah that´s a lot of love, man.
I don’t know, I’m keeping my nuts even though I’m so old they’re just decoration now . Did someone fart? Thought I heard one
..i LOVE the 64 Thunderbolt!!!
Brutal, mighty damned aggressive. And probably less to maintain than a spaghetti rocket.
Elegancia confiabilidad y comodidad por todos lados.
Excelencia mecanica y funcional .
I like the way the cop car is waiting for you.
The reason why the cop is parked is probably because your car is on double secret probation, one false move, one slip up,and your finshed, expelled from your neighborhood.
LOL! I didn't see the Sheriffs car sitting there till he drove off.
Really sweet car and I love the color..
wow so clean that car. luv it.
Sweet sleeper, wolf in sheep's clothing!
That's lovely, put the slicks in the trunk and head off to Bithlo.
Sounds like a rod knocking when he pulled up in the driveway!!!!!!!
Jeremy Thompson, I have a fully restored 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie XL 427 R code car and a fully restored 66 Ford Fairlane XL 427 R code car.

Great motor great motor great year beautiful bady style wow!
My favorite muscle car. Some day I will own one. Alas all I have now is a 1:24 scale model I built.
Nice , i had one , wimbledon white , same hood . had been an s code prior. Med riser , Dove tunnel wedge intake , 660 center squirters four speed , 4;11 detroit locker. std bore side oiler. HAD is the key word . Frank
Very nice car I wish it was mine !

love it my dad had a new 67 xl500
Perfection man !
There was always a certain mystique that a fast Ford provided.
There are some inordinately loud sounds other than what one expects to hear from a 427 emanating from beneath the bonnet.
Solid lifter noise perhaps.?
The ORIGINAL Hemi Hunter
Beautiful car
Wheres this badass car at today
If you don't need the money, don't sell the car.
True dat ! ‼️
Very nice ride..
Great car, but going down the street and turning around was teasing us.
No need for a soundtrack - I provided my own imaginary barnfind dialogue - I did get the car. Hollywood in my mind.
Wow, must have got it up to 10MPH.

That’s a croc of crap
Now......that is a car!
Man that's beautiful, it's exactly what I like! Can I have it?
that blast through the cul-de-sac was awesome..
More like feather-footing, no blasting about it ‼️🏁
Yep.
Birds don't seem to care... I got you though....
I'm interested if you have it.
Car is clean nice Version
do the 427 fairlanes have just the standard top loader in them? are they the close ratio or wide ratio? the big input top loader didnt come out till 68 behind the 428 stuff right?
all fe bigger than the 390 got the big shaft(31 splines) and close ratio only
Came out in 65 with the side oiler
car were so awsome in those days...i dont care that they nw make fast 4 cyl turbo plastic econobox that are faster, they are not as fun and full of garbage i dont want, like electronic, screens, electric this and that...all iwant is a body and engine+drivetrain and seats with the only options: power steering,am radio delete and diff ratio choices

Still not for sale? I’m interested in buying it!!!
Do you still have the car? Really dig it!! Mike
you really needed to do a drive along for the viewers to at least experience the G-force acceleration.....don't understand the whole concept of the video without actually seeing the car run.....don't baby this thing
Perfect 👌
Rod knocking ????
Just it’s cousin 66 Mercury Cyclone & Fairlane Thunderbolt
Still for sale? How much?
what brand and size tires for front and back?
You can see M/T on rears, but fronts (?)
Sounds like it's got a rod knocking
I hear some knocking from the engine. Maybe it's just the audio.
Sweet
427 yes please
I was hoping he was going to punch it pulling out of the driveway but then I seen the cop car sitting there then I was hoping he was going to punch it after he went by him 😂

Nice car but not factory
Definitely a sleeper
Weren't the just white?
Where are the GT stripes?
You could delete the stripe package on the order form.
wow😍
Nice job replicating a rare muscle car. I don't blame you for not doing a burnout because of the cop right there
Burnouts just beat on your drivetrain, and are pointless 🍺
Also, that is Florida, and the Sheriffs all live locally... I don’t think there was anyone in that cruiser anyway.
Come on tue cop would jave loved it
Long drive! Outta gas already?
Sounds like two skeletons screwing on a tin roof lol! 85 gt for life
Sounds like a rod pounding!
Too bad cop there...no laying rubber for the viewers lol
Pobre demostración.
there is really no difference in that car and what ran in 66 my dad had a red one with a 427 my cousin drove it in to the ohio river.
Mmmmmmmm
IS THIS VIDEO A JOKE SHOW THE DAM CAR
