Kenny is one bad dude. Glad to call him a friend. And his wife Kelly is just as cool. Glad to see Evan highlight this car. It’s really as nice in person as you see in the video.
Always nice to see one of those beautiful fifth generation Fairlanes, especially one as clean and pretty as this one. Glad to see too the old and good 460 being used, raced and loved. Great video, lots of exciting cars in the background too.
Kenny has put together a very solid drag Fairlane. He also knows every little detail about it which is also impressive. Many thanks to Evan for sharing the details of this great ALL FORD combination 🏁
@@cobracharmer6178 I thought about that Power glide when I made the All Ford comment. But sometimes brand X components are necessary for optimum performance from a particular combination. Gotta go with what works best. Kinda like Ford 9” differentials in nearly every other brand of competition vehicles. It just works better 👍🏁
@@danielwilson6665: I agree. It’s all good. If it weren’t for the Ford 9 inch, Chevy boys wouldn’t have won half as many races they brag about. This is a sore subject when brought up among these guys. Thank you for your kind remark. 🙂👍
@@cobracharmer6178 Yep the 9” design is sturdy and so easy to remove for quick gear ratio changes or the occasional service when needed. Chevy guys are usually pretty reasonable but overly sensitive when Fords are mentioned. Especially the Ford 351 Cleveland engine like I run in my ‘70 Mach 1 Mustang. It’s a far superior engine than the SBC they love so much and it naturally pisses them off every time one gets mentioned. Even this comment is going to turn reasonable car guys into unreasonable Ford haters 🤷♂️. Watch and see 🙈😂🏁.
In the words of our leader Mr. Bob Glidden and his original sponsoring dealership........I believe Kenny's place is the home of a FAST FORD ! Another great car men. I feel like I need to get moving on my '69 Torino Cobra. Not enough of them out there !
@@LowDollarDudeGlad to know that some of the old strips are still running! When I was younger, I raced at Bean Blossom, IN & once at Muncie, IN. That was in the 70's. Great times!
@Mike583 Yes, Top fuel drag racer Terry McMillen and his wife Cori bought it a few years ago and they have done an excellent job renovating and bringing in new events
I love this car/ engine combo! The picture of the white Fairlane, is what mine looked like. Factory drag car post body,427 dual 4's. Sure wish I still had it,but I know I wouldn't still have it. That was in the 80's. Thank you so much Evan, for bringing us these great Ford videos!
I had a 67 Fairlane that ended up with a 460 automatic till it broke the front clip frame , i was offered a ridiculous amount of money for it and i sold it , i had it over 15 yrs, and if i had the shop that i had 10yrs later it would have been a different story.
The coveted Fairlane deluxe steering wheel, had a few spares back in the day the darn center cap now sells for a grand in good shape, sold mine for $50.
Another great high REVin Ford. What happened @2:59 he jerked his right hand off the steering wheel just like it burned him ? Rest of the run looked normal (both hands back on the wheel). Thanks
Delay box so you can react to the first bulb but the timer holds the car until roughly 1.5 seconds until the last yellow. Theoretically it’s more consistent for reaction time.
I have always loved the look of those Fairlane's with the quad stacked headlights.
That's a beautiful car! Love it!
Very nice. and a 460 cool! Don't see those around much anymore.
Very cool car. Glad to see a bbf finally on your channel. Very little 460 stuff on RUclips
These guys interviewed on this channel are who I want to be like. I’m building a 70 Mach one that’s in shell form,I hope I can do it too.
Sweet, sweet car. Looks really nice and sounds great.
Big soft spot for the Fairlanes.
Such history too. Racing since 1972.
Thanks Revan.
Real nice !! Family heirloom

Is Bunker Hill still open?

beautlful car. If you're going to spend a lot of years with a race car, might as well make it beautiful to look at. That looks great.
Just dropping in to say I saw you going thru DTW back on June 10th. Hopefully you didnt have to wait in line as long as I did!
It would be great to know how much HP & TQ the 460 makes! That 460 sounds great 👍!!!
awesome car!
Nice car, which heads are you running?
Man, what an awesome Fairlane.
Was that Waldo's old Mach one in the foreground?
I wonder what cylinder heads are on that 460...?
Good aftermarket heads really wake up the '385' series!
Looks like TFS PowerPort 290 heads + TFS R-series single plane combo
Yes they do, Jon Kaase and Trick Flow makes some of the best for the BBF Platform.
I'm curious to know what that cylinder mechanism is on the driver's side of the carburetor is.
Neat car

That’s the transbrake which is used to launch the car off a timer.
Love this car❤❤❤❤🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
I've always thought they were 4.57 gears. That's what I always heard. That's what was in my '65 Mustang K code.
Ford 9" gearset is 4.57-to-1 ratio.
@@johnjohnsn7633 When he said it was a 4.56 ratio, that surprised me.

700bls of 385. Nice.
Transbrake was let go but car did not leave, what's the catch ?

Delay box
seems like the cars profiled here always loses on the track unfortunately
