Top notch Sir, much obliged guys for the insight, God bless you all & wish you safe flights around the clock. My honest respect & appreciation to all offshore crews around the world. This operation is demanding no matter how experienced or proficient you are.
Very nice video, I wonder if it could be improved by adding thar regardless of an impecable flight path, all the occupants will be at risk if, from the LDP to touchdown, the helicopter is not entirely contained within the Obstacle-Free Sector of the helideck.
I don't understand the statement that you have limited fuel so you only have one shot at getting onto the platform and if you miss you somehow have enough fuel to fly away and land somewhere else??
Fixed wing guy here but the concept of protecting divert fuel is the same. If your 1st approach is unsuccessful the same conditions may cause a second unsuccessful approach but this time you can't make it to your alternate. You must protect your divert fuel.
"Continuous Reenforcementss of technical skill sets coupled with well-defined approach profiles is having a positive effect to adopt the approach management guidelines .....!?" What a load of RUBBISH !!
I'll be appreciated Sir if you can elaborate more on why that statement is a "load of rubbish" To me it defines the purpose of coming up with proper procedures then train your crew to build there skills & standardize them then implement continuous training plans to maintain there proficiency.
He probably means it’s marketing bumf. This language is typical in this sort of promotional publication. Talking of language, it’s not “I’ll be appreciated if … “, it’s “I would appreciate”. Also the word you’re looking for in both instances is “their” not “there”. You’re welcome …

@@gerardmoran9560 Gotcha. Thank you for the clarification.
Now if you can just get the old timer pilots to get on board with these concepts you might be a professional industry.

Higher qualified pilots and stop micromanaging them.
