thank you for the excellent presentation. very informative. I have a question, how do we calculate the net precipitation of a catchment from a daily precipitation datasets?
@@HydroAI2024 Thanks a lot! It will be very useful. I am trying to learn HEC RAS with the help of your videos, but there are some concepts of Hydrology and Hydraulics that I dont understand. It would be amazing to have your video as reference for the theoretical parts needed for this software. Thanks
Can you sharing a video about how we add the polder system/retarding basin in hec ras. That would really help me. And how we can use hec ras to simulate how effective the retarding basin is to reduce flood discharge in an area. If possible, can you add how? And how we can connect 2D flow area to the basin using oulet and inlet
Hi, Yes it's possible in HEC-RAS and I try my best to do this as soon as possible. Subscribe to the channel to get informed about the new tutorials. best
Hello sir, Do I need to input the net precipitation by subtracting infiltration losses myself even if I have already created a separate infiltration layer in the model itself using soil profile map? I have an infilitration layer already created, so I am confused on which precipitation data to input in this case, the actual precipitation or the net precipitation.
Hi Sir. I have doubt. You gave Flow Hydrograph as Input for flow data. Then why you are giving Precipitation as another input to flow data? Is it correct simulation?
Hi Ravi, yes you are right. But keep in mind that I'm modeling a real river so it has its own input in the river section and precipitation creates extra and separate runoff. For Urban cases, you do not need to define input for upstream BC. Best
Excellent, Keep up the good work
Thanks bro

Thanks for the video! Could you pleaes make a video about theoretical parts of Hydrology and Hydraulics which are needed for HEC-RAS? thnx
Hi Keyable. Why not? As soon as possible I will upload more videos about hydraulic and hydrology concepts.

can you do hec hms? another great video as always. thanks for sharing your knowledge
Yes, Of Course. I'll do that as soon as possible
