Girl, you are phenomenal...exposing yourself to the elements just to give us our daily dose of inspiration!!! Thanks for the love😊 Nuff blessings, your garden is blessed.
Just walking outside in your garden would bring immediate joy. Girl, you are blessed. Marie I'm sure many would purchase the numerous volunteer tomato seedlings in cups. You are inspirational. Thank you
@FarmingOnTheRocks ok, understood. Its just exciting seeing the different varieties, and if you were close by, once you allowed, I would have bought some of your volunteer seedlings. Stay safe and continue the good work. If ever you venture to Trinidad & Toabgo, send me a message
Lots of people don’t know about Bado in different parishes. We use to have it in South St. Elizabeth. I think it is scarce because people don’t plant it anymore. I love it 🥰 I am glad you still have it ❤
Hey Marie, I just love your spirit. Keep planting, keep growing, keep producing and keep on harvesting. Keep on putting out that content. I love watching you guys. ❤
🎉🎉strawberries!! Im as excited as you. I just got myself a plant, and I'm dreaming of fruits on mine! Glad to see you're feeling better, Marie. We are here to bolster each other. God bless continue growing.
Marie, because of you, I'm starting my own container/ backyard gardening. We can do so much when we think we have so little. Your creativity is inspiring.Thank you ❤.
Your scotch bonnet look so healthy and so productive. I planted so last year, but they didn’t grow, after seeing yours I’m going to try again. Loved the beautiful sunset. Stay blessed.
Good morning Marie...am from Mandeville and I have a small container garden and I can't seem to get my beets to grow..I just love watching you in the garden..you motivate me that I can do it also.
Woooo!! strawberries 🍓🍓 ♥️. Your garden is looking spectacular , the bugs are really a nuisance but keep at it .Your cabbages are looking really royal , I saw lots of tomatoes, callaloo , peppers , etc etc . Great to see you looking pumped and ready to go . Keep at it 💪🏽🌿😊 .
Greetings Marie😊The view is breathtaking there🌞 It is so nice to see you smiling again. Thanks for your garden tour. Everything is thriving beautifully. I can't wait to start my seeds indoors this weekend.Have a blessed day🌞💞
You got me a bit jealous because I don't live in such a beautiful tropical place! LOL (I'm in NW Georgia, USA) Your container garden is absolutely lovely and that sunset: Breath-taking! It's a shame about the pests, but you do what you can and keep on keeping on. Most of the plants don't seem too bothered. I'm wondering if the cabbages are a variety that doesn't bolt so much in the warm? Our brassicas all seem to bolt at the third or fourth day of warm weather.
Thank you! It's not always easy but I enjoy what I do. I'm still figuring out the best varieties for this climate. I think the cabbages are tailored for warm climate though
Good morning Marie dr stopped me from drinking coffee.I’m happy I have farming on the rocks keep on farming ❤❤.please don’t let bad mind people stop you.
If you can get your hands on some Neems Foot Oil, put some in a cup and add some of your wintergreen leaves and let soak about a week. Take the leaves out best you can and mix the oil (1 tsp) into 1 gal of water. Then add enough dish soap to make the oil mix into the water when it's shaking in a spray bottle, spray this mixture onto the stems of your plants where the stink bugs are attacking it. Also spraying the leaves of the plant as well. I believe you'll see a big difference in how many bugs get on your plants. They'll be deterred by the smell of the spray and the oil will help it to last longer on the plant instead of just absorbing into the plant like water.
The only reason you mix in the soap is because oil sits on top of water. The soap helps to thin the oil out to where it can mix with the water when you shake it up. You will want to shake it before spraying almost every time unless you have it really mixed up good. Usually it takes about 1 tsp of dish soap to get this proper effect, depending on the soap. I use dawn dish soap and sometimes it takes less, just have to look at it good once you shake it up.
Hi Marie, Apparently, stink bugs hate the smell of garlic. Garlic powder in water may help . Love the tour real admiration for what you've done. Blessings!
Good morning Marie. Well done to you guys I can see some strawberries 🍓 looking 👀 beautiful well done Hard work getting the job done ✔️ 💯 keep up the great work you are doing one love ❤️
It's always an interesting and inspiring as you relate your garden. Most interesting is the different varieties of plants. What stands out to me as I'm seeing them for the first time are both the purple basil plant and the zilion (or ZZ) plant. Always a pleasure in learning the challenges and the efforts applied to overcome them. Blessing🙏🏿.
As usual your garden is doing great and everything looks so green and healthy. I can’t plant much of anything because of where I live but I do have a few plants in containers. Thanks for your inspiration.❤❤❤
Hey Marie, maybe if you trim some of the limbs off the main stem of the banana leg tomato vine, it'll give more air circulation and hopefully keep the area less conducive to the stick bugs. Fingers crossed 🤞
Awwww! I am sooo happy to see you are in a better mood. Thank goodness, YES! God is good. What? Mangoes in January? I thought mangoes come in the summer. The mango trees here in FL is putting on Blossom already. When i visit Jamaica next time i am going to definitely get some scotch bonnet pepper. I just look up what stink bugs look like, they give me the creepy crawlies.
Good morning, Marie. I am so pleased to see your great garden. I'm really motivated to plant more in the limited space that I have, using some containers. Thanks so much for inspiring me. God continue to bless you and your efforts.
